Christmas Box for Gift Tags

Hey guys! I have a fun new Christmas project to share with you and I had such a nice afternoon making it. Peppermint tea, holiday music playing, and crafting. Totally felt like a hallmark moment and ... I loved it.

With Christmas coming, I've been looking forward to making some handmade gift tags. I love the personal touch they add to my presents but I needed a better place to store them other than the plastic bag I usually use. So, I made this cute box.

It can sit out as holiday decor and it makes a perfect place to store items like Christmas cards, photos, candy, your glasses, jewelry, small remotes, or a deck of cards.

You could also use this as a gift box to give a present in. Add homemade cookies or candy, an ornament, a gift card, jewelry, or anything small. Practical and so, so CUTE!

I used the Doodlebug, Night Before Christmas Collection and a Kraft Staples Book Box from Graphic 45. I covered the box with white card stock then, added the striped paper and the light bulb die cuts around the sides. For the top, I layered the Jolly St. Nick pattern (Ladybug side) and another piece of white card stock.

Next ... time to add all of the cute embellishments to the top! I used so many stickers and just played with what I liked (product links below). Have fun with this part and make it your own.

For the inside, I kept it simple and lined the sides and the bottom with patterned paper.
