Sunny Days Summer Scrapbook Album

Look at all those fun layered papers! I love a good waterfall album that displays lots of great patterns and colors. This one has so many cute stripes, tropical leaves, sunshine, and hibiscus flowers.

I really was made for sunny days. They lift my mood and make me so happy. But who ever said ... I love cloudy depressing days? Umm ... no one. And that's how I know you'll love this mini. It'll remind you of backyard fun, days on the beach, swimming, picnics, cooling off with popsicles, and summer vacations.

Inside, there are 16 fabulous pages that include 2 fold-out pages, 2 pockets, 4 flippies (like the cute neon pink one above), and space for 28 of your favorite photos.

12x12 Paradise Layout with Doodlebug Design

Hello everyone! It's time for my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project. A few weeks ago, I created a 12x12 beach layout using Doodlebug's new petite prints and the Seaside Summer Collection. Today, I have it's companion page! 🌞

 

Don't they look cute together? They're perfect for photos of a tropical vacation, fun with family and friends, a day at the beach, building sandcastles, and collecting seashells.

You could also use it for boating pictures, fishing, or riding wave runners. What about a trip to the islands, a visit to a lighthouse, or a cruise? No matter what your coastal plans are ... these pages would work great.

Here's how I made this page ... 

I used white card stock as the base and cut twenty-five 2 1/4" squares out of the petite prints (links below). Then, I randomly added 2" white mats to some of the patterned squares. 

I picked 4 squares to cover with 1 large white mat (4 1/4"), then added the "paradise" from the Chit Chat.

You know I love shape sprinkles so I added lots of them. Check out the cute pink octopus above! For the rest of the layout, I used mini icon stickers, which were the perfect size.

My first layout had room for 6 photos and this new one ... at least 9+. So, go ahead and take lots of great pictures. You have the space!

12x12 Travel Does the Heart Good Layout

Hello friends! I hope you're enjoying your summer and making time for a little bit of scrapping. Today, I'm sharing two 12x12 layouts I made with some of my own photos from a quick trip Jack and I took to New York in 2019. We went for business but sneaked in some fun time as well. 

For these pages, I used the Bella Blvd Time To Travel Collection (links below). I love this line … great colors, cute icons, and simple patterns. Plus, the colors went perfectly with my photos!

Scrapbooking should always be fun - not complicated. So, create layouts that you love and enjoy the creative process. For me, that means straight lines, bright colors, and pages that focus on the photos. These layouts are a great example of that.

I started with white cardstock then added the Freeway paper (blue side) and it's reverse (rainbow stripe) on top. I wanted to create lines with my photos that mimic the cityscape. So, I stacked the three 3.5”x 6" pictures next to each other across the center of the page.

Above the photos, I added a strip from the Borders paper with a fun saying and a few chipboard stickers.

For the second page, I used white paper again and added the red Photo Op print next. Then layered the Freeway stripe (both sides) to match the first page and my 3"x4" photos of the places we visited. 

Next - the journaling spot. Since I love balance, I prefer to type and print my thoughts on the computer vs handwriting them. I backed that with the Love This Place cloud paper and added it to the page.

The “B” sides of Bella papers (like the tone-on-tone red and navy prints above) are always great for backgrounds. Love them! To finish off this layout, I added the "Travel Does the Heart Good" card from the Daily Details and some more chipboard stickers. And ... finito!

NEW Spoiled Dog Scrapbook Album

Happy Friday! It's time for another new kit and today, I have TWO! Check out my other newbie in the blog before this one. It's a great travel album titled Beautiful Place.

This blog is about my new Spoiled Dog Album and it's just too cute!! If you're a dog lover, then you know they are not simply pets. Our pups are family, they're our companions, and our best friends. So my second album is an acrylic mini that's perfect for pictures of our sweet, spoiled little canines. 💕

Spoiled Dog Scrapbook Instructions

I created this with a 5" x 4.5" Artsy Albums white acrylic mini album that's super chunky for lots of great pictures. It has 30 pages that include 6 fold-out pages, 3 pockets, lots on interactive title cards, and space for 30+ photos.

I designed it with the adorable Pampered Pooch Collection, designed by Becky Moore for PhotoPlay. It's filled with cute images of pampered pups, paw prints, collars, flowers, grooming tools, bubbles, lots of bright colors, and funny sayings like the one on the cover above. 

There are such great stickers and cards in this collection that crack me up ... like the  little Chihuahua above that's dressed to the nines. Do you have a wardrobe for your pet? If so, you must have lots of cute pictures that would be perfect for this mini!

The chipboard album is 6x6 inches and made by Prima. I love how the color of the chipboard blends with the rich tones of the travel papers!  Deep, earthly colors of sunsets, sky, clay, and natural greenery ... beautiful! 

I embellished the cover of the album with a fabulous title card, a travel sticker, and those awesome self-adhesive brads to give the cover some texture and shine. Love it!

The inside front cover gives you lots of fun journaling space to talk about the trip, your itinerary, the date, and some general notes.  You'll have fun recording your travel memories here!

There are so many fun flippies throughout this book. Flips, flaps, folds, tags, pockets ... this one has them all!  (Well, most of my albums do, but this one has lots of them that are so great!)

Berry Sweet Pocket & Tag Accordion Mini Album

Hi everyone! I'm so glad you stopped by the blog today. I have another mini album project to share with you that's "berry sweet". This one is adorably small, an accordion style, and filled with lots of fun pockets and tags. Below, I give you all the details and instructions so you can make it too!

I created this little cutie with the Simple Stories, Vintage Berry Fields Collection (product links below). These pretty papers and embellishments include strawberries, cherries, vintage receipts & tickets, mason jars, butterflies, doilies, and flowers. And since this album unfolds, I added a red gingham ribbon to keep it secure.

I love the 2.75"x 3.75" mini size of this. I think it would be the sweetest little gift for someone. Perfect for a friend, mom, sister, teacher, grandma, or your daughter. It may be small in size but it's huge in sentiment! 

Here's what it looks like unfolded. On one side, there are 8 small pockets that each have a tag tucked inside for pictures or journaling. On the other side, there are 8 scrapbook pages for photos.

I designed this so the pockets fit the element tags that come in this collection perfectly. I love that they are a bit taller than the album so when it's closed, you can see them peeking out the top.

I added a few fun stickers to some of the pockets. The strawberry is from the 12x12 sticker sheet and I added a pop dot on the back side for dimension.

This picture shows the other side of the album. Each page is covered in a different print and makes a perfect little photo mat. 

I even added a lined card from the 12x12 journaling elements. It's a great spot to document dates, names, locations, events, or ... simply add a sweet note.

Here are some ideas for gift giving... 

• Send to your college-aged daughter or granddaughter for photos of friends, sorority events, her dorm, and other fun activities
  
• Give it to a new mom or grandma as a mini brag book
• Great teacher gift
  
• Perfect for a friend or co-worker's birthday
• Or ... add photos of your beloved pet
  

Instructions:

• Measure and cut 2 pieces of card stock that are 12" wide x 5 1/4" high.

• Score across the 12" side at 2 3/4", 5 1/2", 8 1/4", and 11". 

• Turn the card stock on to the 5 1/4” side and score at 3 3/4”.  This line will be the pocket that folds up.  

• Trim the left over 1" off of just one of the pieces 

• Adhere the two strips together on the remaining 1" tab.

• Then, the really fun part ... add ribbon, pattern paper, tags, and embellishments!
