Ladybug Scrapbook Mini Album

Happy Tuesday everyone! I'm just hopping on the blog to share a mini album I created for my new niece. Her mommy and daddy decorated her newborn nursery with a ladybug theme so a ladybug mini album seemed appropriate. I love the colors ... red, black, and white with a touch of green and yellow. So fun!

I used a red Simple Stories binder album and random papers from my stash.  I designed the "Our little Lady" title and cut it out with my Silhouette CAMEO.

I added Recollections daisy stickers throughout the album for a small pop of yellow.

Some of my Doodlebug valentine paper worked perfectly for this album!

And I dug into my Doodlebug petite prints for swiss dot papers and the new gingham print. LOVE these!

Doodlebug Quote Challenge Page Layout

Hi Doodlebug fans!  I enjoyed creating a page for this month's design team quote challenge.  With a new granddaughter, I looked for a fun grandma quote, but couldn't find one that sparked any creativity.  Then I ran across this one ... and knew I had the perfect photos.

This is my son, Jordy, his adorable wife, Chrissy, and my precious little granddaughter, Rylee Nicole.

For my layout, I used lots of new gingham/linen petite printsI cut a lily white linen pattern down to 8.5" x 11" and ran it through my printer, then I designed my layout around the quote.  Super simple! (The type font I used is called Alex Brush).

My accent papers are from Doodlebug's Sweet Things collection.  I love to use solids from Doodlebug's petite prints and pair them with scraps from older Doodlebug collections.  Everything always matches!!

I hope our quote challenge is inspiring you. Just search for a fun quote and then design a project around it!  Be sure to visit every day this week for more inspiration, and stop by my blog to say hello sometime!

Lori Whitlock December Blog Hop

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Today is Lori Whitlock's December blog hop!  If you just stopped by, be sure to start the hop at Lori's site so that you don't miss any of the awesome projects the creative team has to share with you!
For my project, I created two of Lori's adorable 3D stocking boxes. I plan to tuck some candy into them for a few of the neighborhood kids. The snowflake stocking cutting file is here and the reindeer stocking cutting file is here.

I just love the snowflake cut from glitter paper and I used a twine bow and red gem for Rudolph!

Hopefully these will inspire you to check out all of Lori's 3D cutting files ... cards, boxes, bags ... they are ALL adorable.

Before you hop over to your next stop, don't forget that I have some new page kits and mini album kits in the Artsy Albums shop for Christmas, Family, Fall, Halloween, and more!  Lori even designed the paper for some of them ;)

Your next stop is Kathy Skou! Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Here Comes Santa Mini Scrapbook Album, Doodlebug

Hi everyone! The Design Team at Doodlebug is sharing gift ideas this week. For my project, I created a mini album that will make a wonderful gift for family or friends this Christmas. I used the new Here Comes Santa collection. It's super cute with bright reds and greens and an adorable Santa and reindeer. I made the album 8"x 8" so that lots of special memories can be tucked inside.

Aren't the new Odds & Ends die cuts just the cutest??  I just love their size for mini albums. I added some cute silver glitter sprinkles to the wheels, although the picture doesn't show all of the sparkle they add to the page.

I also love the pops of light blue and pink in the papers -- my Christmas pictures will match no matter what color everyone is wearing!

I tucked some 4x6 cards into a pocket page and will add photos to the back of these.  Other products I used in this album were:
12x12 Collection Kit
6x6 Paper pad
12x12 Petite Prints Assortment
Ladybug Chunky Twine
Lily White Card stock

If you are interested in making one of these albums for a gift this year, a limited number of pre-cut album kits are available in my Artsy Albums shop.

Have fun creating gifts this season!  Homemade presents are always well received!

Christmas Scrapbook Album Kit with Simple Stories Classic Christmas

This beautiful Christmas scrapbook album is available as a DIY kit or pre-made and will be a wonderful keepsake for your family's memories! This album would also make a great gift for Christmas, or a perfect hostess gift for a Christmas party!

This year our album kit is packed with fun! We used a new Simple Stories Holiday Sn@p binder and the beautiful Classic Christmas paper collection. The chipboard binder album is approximately 6x8 with 2" binding rings. The album includes 16 full 6x8 scrapbook pages (8 double-sided) and 12 double-sided divided photo sleeves. The album will hold more than 80 photos.

I always create my albums so that photos can easily tuck under embellishments, and I always use only acid-free, photo-safe supplies. The title on the cover says "The Magic of Christmas Never Ends and It's Greatest Gifts are Family and Friends" and some of the other pages say "Merry & Bright", "It's Time for Mistletoe & Holly", and "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year".

As always, thank you so much for visiting my shop! My goal is to create scrapbooks, memory albums, and kits that encourage people to share their stories, preserve their photos, and document their everyday lives.
