Birthday Mini Album with Doodlebug Designs

Project:  Birthday Mini Album
Product Collection: Doodlebug Hip Hip Hooray
Details: 6"x8", 12 pages, space for 18 photos

Love Love love this mini.  I'd keep it for my boys' birthday photos if I hadn't scrapped them all already (and now they are 20 and 24 so I don't get photos anymore :(  ).  I think this beautiful album would make a wonderful gift for a birthday boy.  The paper and embellies could not be more fun and colorful.  As you may know, I have a thing for Doodlebug Designs so lots of love and extra detail was poured into this one :)

Doodlebug Easter Parade Layout

Hi everyone,  I'm excited to be back over on Doodlebug's blog today to share an Easter Parade layout with you.  I just love Doodlebug's cute washi tape, so I decided to layer it over white card stock and cut out 4 strips (you could also just stick the washi tape directly on to your white background).  I then positioned my strips in a tic-tac-toe fashion and had tons of fun filling up each little square with Doodlebug cuteness!

I have also fallen in love with sprinkles vellum!  Although the photo does not do this justice, the sprinkle dots on the vellum add a little shine to each corner of the page.  For a bit more fun,  I added  buttons, spring flower sprinkles, and stickers.  This might possibly be one of my favorite Doodlebug layouts thanks to all of the color!

I hope you'll hop over to Doodlebug's blog to see all of the other fun, creative projects using "Easter Parade!"  Thanks for stopping by Artsy Albums!

3x3" Pop-Up Card Ideas

Today's project:  3x3" Pop Up Gift Cards

These adorable cards are Silhouette cutting files designed by Lori Whitlock. Although they were intended to be children's Valentine cards, I decided to create gift cards for birthday and thank you gifts.

The base of the card is 3″x 3″ and it cuts out in one piece that folds up. Lori has a simple instruction sheet for folding these little gems here.

This adorable dinosaur card is my favorite. I just love the little spikes down his back and his sweet little heart.

As you can see, I had fun adding stickers and gems to my card.  I hope I’ve inspired you today!  I know you’ll have fun with these!

Here are the links to the cards in the Silhouette online store:

February Blog Hop with Lori Whitlock Designs

Hi everyone,
Welcome to Lori Whitlock's February blog hop!
If you just hopped on at my blog, be sure to head back over to Lori's site and start from the beginning :)  There are lots of fun projects at each stop so you won't want to miss any of them!

For my project, I created a card and an instagram mini album using two of Lori's print-and-cut camera designs.

To create the card base,  I enlarged the card to fit an A2 size envelope, and then duplicated it.

Next, I welded the two shapes together.

I had to add hit "cut outline" in the cut settings window, and then I cut out the card shape.

Using Lori's "Perfect Print" I added a birthday message to the print-and-cut camera (be sure to highlight your message and hit "no cut").  Once printed on textured card stock and cut out, I adhered the image to the front of my card base.

For the mini album, I cut the camera out using the print-and-cut feature.  I then cut the base shape out of chipboard and plain white card stock to create the album covers and pages.  It's the perfect little size for popular instagram photos!

Be sure to check out all the goodies that Lori has for you today!  Freebies, sales, and a chance to win a gift card over on her blog.

Thanks for stopping by my blog along your hop.  Please visit me on Facebook to stay up-to-date on Artsy Albums sales and new kits!

Now back to the hop!  Your next stop is:  Kathy Skou

Doodlebug Hello Sunshine Mini Album

Happy Friday!  I'm thrilled to be posting over on Doodlebug's blog again today. They recently launched their new "Hello Sunshine" collection and ... oh my goodness!! The cuteness!  I created this little mini album with the collection.   I wanted it to look like a house or a little flower shop.  I'm not sure it looks like either of those, ha ha, but I do think it's fun and colorful :)

I used the 6x6 "Hello Sunshine" paper pad to cover each of the pages, and the circle die-cuts from the craft kit were the perfect size to cover the tabs on the album.   I also used bright glitter sprinkles, "this and that" stickers, icon stickers, and spring flower sprinkles.   Please visit Doodlebug's blog to see all of the fun projects that the design team has been creating with "Hello Sunshine" this week!

Sister Love Scrapbook Layout with Lori Whitlock Designs

Hi everyone, I’m glad to be back over on Lori Whitlock's blog today to share this page layout.  I ran across these wonderful pictures of my nieces so I decided to create a sister page with a bit of a Valentine twist. Lori’s Heart Polaroid Frames were the starting point for me.
I also love this twisted border.  You can cut the two pieces in any colors you want and then wrap them around each other to create the twist effect — super simple and adds a fun look to the page.  For my title, I cut letters out using Lori’s Bubble Letter Font.  This is the perfect font for nice chunky letters that show up great on a page!
Finally, I wanted one more design along the bottom of my page so this family border did the trick.  I hope you like the design and I’ve given you some ideas to use on your next project!
