Memorial Day Acrylic Star Album + Activity Ideas

While we celebrate our freedom with family and friends, let's not forget to honor those who served our nation and are no longer with us.💙

I hope you have a wonderful day and for all the photos you'll take ... I have a fun new project for you. It's a mini album called Land That I Love and I've added the acrylic album AND the instructions for it to my shop! So, you can easily recreate this. (Links below.)

I designed this with my 6x6 inch Acrylic Star Window Album (available in blue or red). It has 12 white cardstock pages (6 double-sided) that include 4 flippies, 2 fold-out pages, 1 pocket, and space for 20 photos.

I also used lots of cuteness from the Doodlebug Design, Land That I Love Collection. It's filled with vibrant Americana colors, fun icons, and pattern papers with stars, stripes, hearts, dots, and plaids. I love this one.

I created this project for Memorial Day but it could also be used for photos of the 4th of July. Thinkin' ahead!

I love a good pocket and this one could hold small flags or ribbons, programs, tickets, newspaper articles, journaling cards, stickers, notes, patches, or extra photos.

This scrapbook is a fun project and it's great for saving any Memorial Day activity. Here are a few ideas ...

• Hang the American Flag outside your home
• Attend a Memorial Day Parade
• Visit a National Park, go hiking and enjoy a beautiful view of America
• Have a backyard BBQ and invite friends

• Do something kind for a family of a fallen soldier
• Enjoy a picnic on the beach
• Attend a Memorial Day Ceremony
• Create some fun patriotic chalk art on the sidewalk with the kiddos

• Put together care packages for soldiers
• Take flowers to a soldier's grave
• Have a movie night, make popcorn & watch something patriotic 
• Visit an ice cream parlor and indulge in a red, white and blueberry treat

No matter what your plans are today, let's try to honor The National Moment of Remembrance. This is an annual event that asks Americans, wherever they are at 3:00 p.m. local time on Memorial Day, to pause for a duration of one minute to remember those who have died in military service to the United States.
