New Instructions for Hoppy Easter & How To Substitute Products

Hey guys! Hope you had a great weekend. No need for the Monday blues because I have something fun to tell you! I just added the instructions for my retired Hoppy Easter Mini Album to the shop! This one is soooo adorable and in this post, I want to show how easy it is to find substitute products for older collections that have been retired. Take a look ...

First, can I just say that Doodlebug makes the cutest Easter Collections! They never disappoint and their color palette is always consistent. And by that I mean ... the pinks, greens, yellows, etc. they use will always be the same from collection to collection. So, that makes it super easy to mix and match!

This little cutie was originally made with the Doodlebug Hoppy Easter Collection. The Odds and Ends are still available to purchase (links below) but the papers have been sold out.

But here's the good news ... Doodlebug's latest collection (Hippity Hoppity) is so similar! In fact, the grass paper & flower paper on the cover above from the Hoppy Easter collection are almost exactly the same in the new Hippity Hoppity collection. Look! Baby Carrots and Spring Meadow. See? Close as can be!

I love the blue background paper on this page ... but you can easily change it out for the Bunny Town paper. Same idea, it's just a cute tone on tone bunny print instead of the lattice print. That tiny green scalloped trim ... check out this fancy frills. Nailed it! 😉

The beautiful plaid on this page could be swapped out for this paper in the Hippity Hoppity collection called Easter Basket.

And that gorgeous pink stripe paper ... you can use Doodlebug's Petite Prints Dot and Stripe in Bubblegum! Let's not forget that adorable flower border sticker along the top. You could use the Summertime Collection Fancy Frills sticker. Almost an exact match! (Links below.)

For the album ... I added a link for a tall thin chipboard album by Prima that I think would be super cute. Just decorate the cover in a similar fashion and you have a GREAT Easter album that would be a forever keepsake!

Below, I've added links to my instructions and some Hoppy Easter products. I've also added some substitute suggestions like the Prima album and Doodlebug's Hippity Hoppity Collection. I hope this post explained just how easy it is to swap out products, especially with Doodlebug. Have fun!

Crafting With My Gnomies Scrapbook Album

Hey guys, I'm so excited that it's Friday! One, because it means that today's the day I get to share another brand new album with you. Yay! And two, because I read tonight's forecast and there's a 99% chance of wine. That's my favorite kind of forecast!

So, let me tell you about this week's newbie. It's called Crafting With My Gnomies and yep ... those cute little gnomes are back. They're bringing bright colors, funny sayings and happy prints with them, too!

I designed this with the Simple Stories Snap Flipbook and PhotoPlay's newest collection, Crafting With My Gnomies. It's perfect for covering all crafty bases whether you enjoy scrapping, photography, knitting, paper crafting, sewing, beading or journaling! This album is great for all.

It has lots of space for fun photos of a night painting with friends, doing art projects with your littles (or grandlittles!), scrappin' with your bestie or ... maybe you take art classes! That's pretty awesome! It's also great for a weekend crop, a craft show, a scrapbook convention or an art fair.

Do you have a beloved scrapbook room or a studio space that's worthy of some pictures?! Take them and save them here along with some of your work!

This would be a great way to document your art through the years. Get into the habit of taking pictures and saving them in an album. Whether it's pottery, paintings, quilts, jewelry, apparel, sculpture, memory albums, cards, etc. It's a great idea to save photos of your work.

Oh yeah, if I'm going to have a disorder ... let it be this one, lol!

This crafty themed scrapbook is 6"x8" and available as a DIY kit or premade. It has 20 pages (10 double-sided) and space for 50 photos!! To see more pictures of this album and many others, hop over to my shop with the links below.

As always, thanks so much for stopping by and have a great weekend!!

Hello Spring Easter Album Instructions

Hey scrappers, I have good news! I just added the instructions for one of my retired 2020 albums to the shop. It's my Hello Spring Album and it's simply beautiful. It has a pretty Easter and garden theme with bunnies, bees, flowers and birds!

This is perfect for pictures of the upcoming holiday with family and friends. Take photos of the littles all dressed up, the Easter baskets, an egg hunt and a visit with the Easter Bunny. Maybe you invited family and friends over to share a special meal. Great! This album has pockets for traditional family recipes, placecards, invitations or extra pictures!

It would make a beautiful scrapbook for professional photos taken in the spring, a park or a garden. Don't forget those special everyday moments of an afternoon outdoors, flowers, gardening, a picnic or playtime in the sunshine.

This album has 12 scrapbook pages (6 double sided), fold-outs, flippies, pockets and space for at least 30 photos. It was originally designed with the Simple Stories, Hip Hop Hooray Collection (links below) but you can substitute any similar supplies.

My instructions are so easy to follow. Anyone can do this! They are step-by-step and include full color photos of each page.

Baby Girl Cards with Doodlebug's Bundle of Joy

Helloooo scrappers! Today, I have two super sweet baby cards to share with you! They are full of sugar and spice and everything nice ... because that's what little girls are made of! What a perfect way to congratulate parents and welcome a little one's arrival.

For both cards I used the Doodlebug, Bundle of Joy Collection and I really love the soft feminine colors of the pink, yellow and green.

I used white cardstock as the base for both cards. I added a pretty 12x12 plaid paper called Blankie for the first card and picked out some cute embellishments. This stork die cut had to be front and center ... I mean, he's PINK! So cute!

Then for the title, I used a die from Simon Says Stamp called Welcome Little One. I cut the background out of white cardstock and the letters out of a yellow print called Heaven Sent. (Links below.) The foam tape behind it gave it some dimension. I love, love, love this card!

Next up is the Congratulations card with fun circle shapes, washi tape and more adorable die cuts!

The circles have such a cute detail of being stitched around the edge. It reminds me of a quilt. I used a few pretty colored prints from the collection and the #9 circle window die from PhotoPlay to cut the shapes. (Links below.)

Then I added a sleepy pink owl from the Odds and Ends, the congrats title from the chit chat and a strip of pretty rainbow washi tape down the side! So easy and fun! I've added all the product links below so you can make these too. Have fun!

Oh! One more thing ... if you'd like to see another baby girl card I made using the PhotoPlay circle die in a completely different way ... click here! 😊
