Boyish Charm, Boy Scrapbook Album

Gorgeous double-sided paper, glitter that stays on, fun embellishments -- lots of scrapbook companies are doings things right these days and My Mind's Eye is one of my favorites that always seems to get it right!
They introduced lots of fabulous goodies at CHA last month and I have just about bought all of it!

I created this "Boyish Charm" album as a sample for my LSS.  I love it so much, I am going to have to recreate one for myself!

I am also loving this chipboard album from Pine Cone Press -- 6 x 12 allows for lots of 4 x 6 photos, plus if you know me, you know I like to reduce my photos to smaller sizes.  But for this 6 x 12, I think I will include a couple full page (8 x 10 cropped to 6 x 10) -- so fun!

I really do not think I could love chipboard and layered stickers more than I do right now :)  .

Can anyone say glitter !  And it does not come off!  I am a mother of boys (not a lot of glitter in my life) but  I am a scrapbooker -- I can appreciate a little glitter once in a while!  And this...wow...lovin' how each piece of paper has just a little bit of shine! (Again, if you know me, you know I do not work for MME, but I sound like it don't I?)  That's what love sounds like.....LOL!

Do you love my perfectly placed frame embellishments?  Yeah, wish I could take credit for that -- but nope, they are already on the paper and SOOOO cute!

I mentioned on my last post that I was going to show all of you a mini I did with Basic Grey's super cute pet collection from a few years back.  Gina got it right again -- "Max and Whiskers" -- I am lagging behind on my photos due to a wonderful girl's weekend to CKC Charlotte but I will get it added to the blog soon.  It's even got pictures of my sweet baby girls, Reeci and Maisy, in it.  Stay tuned....

Happy Days Mini Album #4 with My Mind's Eye

There's not a lot of 'fancy' going on with mini #4.  Just an easy little book using an adorable paper line by My Mind's Eye called Fine & Dandy True Blue (there is a girl's version called Fine & Dandy Tickled Pink) and both are cute, cute, cute!  I also love the kraft color of the 7 Gypsies album (versus standard grey chipboard) and since I wanted that color to show, I didn't completely cover each page with paper.  This made for a quick little project that is screaming for me to fill with pictures.

I have one more mini to share with you tomorrow...and here's a hint for that one:  Do you remember the name of Basic Grey's super cute pet line that was introduced a few years back?  If so, leave me a comment and check back in at my site tomorrow!

Day 3 of the Mini Marathon

Sultry!  Yep!  Gina and Roxanne both got it!   This, of course, was the paper line I used in yesterday's mini album.  A very old, but very pretty line that was introduced in 2008.  The other lines that came out around the same time were Boxer and Archaic.  Basic Grey has always been one of my favorite companies -- way back to Vagabond in '05!

For today, I am switching gears to another favorite -- Bo Bunny.  Their Gabrielle line is so pretty -- the colors and the butterflies!   This is a friend themed mini that was super simple, but oh so fun to create.

Tomorrow I will be sharing mini #4 with you.  It's a cute little book for a boy using Fine and Dandy True Blue paper by My Mind's Eye and a great little 7 Gypsies chipboard album.

Day 2 of 'Four Days of Minis'

Mini #2...can anyone name this very old Basic Grey paper line???  I dug it out of my mounds of paper, fell in love all over again, and wondered why I bought this very girly paper in the first place.  Then I remembered that I usually buy what I love and decide what to do with it later -- not smart on the checkbook, but it made me so happy to create something with it!

Stop back in at my blog tomorrow when I will be sharing a 3rd mini -- this time using one of my very favorite recent Bo Bunny collections (Gabrielle)!  And as always, thank you for subscribing to my blog emails!

4 days of Minis

The kids are back at school! At least they are here in Georgia.  Not that I do not love my boys being home, but they can put a real cramp in my creative pursuits.  When they are home, I want to be with them.  Now that they are back in school, I have more time to play with all of this paper that is screaming for me to get back into my scrap room!  And since we all know that my favorite projects are mini albums, I decided to post a mini-a-day for the next 4 days...maybe more if I really go crazy :)

So, here is the first one.  (I haven't decided what I will do with each of these, hence, no pictures yet).  Do y'all love the new 'Authentique' lines as much as I do?   These colors are so much fun -- the black, yellow and pink look so cute together!  I just wanna lay this paper all over the floor and roll around in it.  Odd, but oh so true :)

Check back in tomorrow to see another mini -- this time I will be playing with a REALLY old Basic Grey line to make a cute album for a little girl.
