Halloween October 31st House-Shaped Mini Album

Hello scrappers! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project which is also on their blog too. If you're like me, you look forward to seeing the new Doodlebug Halloween collection every year. The colors are always perfect and the little ghosts and critters couldn't be any cuter. This year, their October 31st collection might be my favorite ever. As soon as I saw it, my brain started conjuring up all sorts of ideas for my next mini album. It's bad ... I even woke up in the middle of the night to jot down ideas, lol!

Here is the result of those midnight brainstorms.

To create this fun mini, I drew out my house design first and decided how I wanted to cut my chipboard pages. Once this was done, the papers were so cute it made the rest of the design really easy!

I love the cover.  Doodlebug has so many great stickers, shape sprinkles, fancy frill borders, and Doodle-pops ... I had so much fun creating this! Oh, and let's not forget the twine!

Here are a few of the inside pages ...

Hope you have a fun Halloween & thanks for stopping by!

Update: This kit has sold out but the instructions are available in my shop. They are simple, step-by-step, and include measurements and full color photos of each page. Links for the instructions and the products used are below. Happy scrappin'!

Thanksgiving Mini Scrapbook Album

Happy September friends! It might only be early September, but fall is fast approaching and Thanksgiving will be right around the corner. So, when I saw Doodlebug's Fall Friends collection, I was thrilled because it's perfect for both fall and Thanksgiving projects!

Today, I'm sharing my latest Design Team Project, which you can also see on their blog. I decided to stick to my favorite ... a mini album that doubles as a fall home decor project and a perfect way to save Thanksgiving memories.

This cute mini is approx. 5"x7" and uses white chipboard as the base. Can we all just agree that this little turkey on the cover is so stinkin' cute?! Love him! He's a Doodle-pops called Gobble Gobble and he fit perfectly over his matching 4x4 card in the paper line. I added some enamel glitter dots to his feathers for a little sparkle!

I used the Mini Leaves and Acorn Die Cuts and the Bits of Fall Sprinkle Shapes towards the bottom. These added a fun pop of fall color to my cover. A few more dot sprinkles and a doodle twine and the cover is done!

I love Mr. Turkey so much he got to be on the first page too! I added a few border strips from the Fancy Frills stickers to this page also.

Doodlebug even invited some pilgrims to their Fall Friends collection. I've included them in my mini and I think they're almost as cute as Mr. Turkey!

For my mini albums, I love to add in the 3x4, 4x4, and 4x6 cut-apart cards that are part of the paper lines. For this page, I loved the scene on this card so I paired it with a scallop circle photo mat, a few die cuts and cute button. Howdy pilgrim!

Update: Since this Fall Friends collection is an older one, I've added product links to the Doodlebug Pumpkin Spice collection that would make a great substitution. It's adorable and you can simply change out the pilgrims for woodland creatures!

School Layout Featuring Doodlebug Card Stock

Hello everyone! The design team over at Doodlebug was challenged to create a project using mostly Doodlebug textured cardstock.  This was easy for me to do because I love their wonderful assortment of colors that perfectly match all of their paper collections!

To create my white background, I designed a cutting file in my Silhouette machine software and then cut the pattern from a 12x12 sheet of Lily White Doodlebug card stock.

For additional photos of this layout, and to get more information on Doodlebug's cardstock, please visit their website at www.doodlebugblog.com.

That's it for me today!  Please visit me over on the Artsy Albums Facebook Page to stay up-to-date on my newest kits, tutorials, giveaways, and sales!  Thanks for stopping by!
