Happy September friends! It might only be early September, but fall is fast approaching and Thanksgiving will be right around the corner. So, when I saw Doodlebug's Fall Friends collection, I was thrilled because it's perfect for both fall and Thanksgiving projects!
Today, I'm sharing my latest Design Team Project, which you can also see on their blog. I decided to stick to my favorite ... a mini
album that doubles as a fall home decor project and a perfect way to save Thanksgiving
memories.
This cute mini is approx. 5"x7" and uses white chipboard as the base. Can we all just agree that this little turkey on the cover is so stinkin' cute?! Love him! He's a Doodle-pops called Gobble Gobble and he fit perfectly over his matching 4x4 card in the paper line. I added some enamel glitter dots to his feathers for a little sparkle!
I
used the Mini Leaves and Acorn Die Cuts and the Bits of Fall Sprinkle
Shapes towards the bottom. These added a fun pop of fall color to my
cover. A few more dot sprinkles and a doodle twine and the cover is done!
I
love Mr. Turkey so much he got to be on the first page too! I added a
few border strips from the Fancy Frills stickers to this page also.
Doodlebug even invited some pilgrims to their Fall Friends collection. I've included them in my mini and I think they're almost as cute as Mr. Turkey!
For my mini albums, I love to add in the
3x4, 4x4, and 4x6 cut-apart cards that are part of the paper lines. For
this page, I loved the scene on this card so I paired it with a scallop circle
photo mat, a few die cuts and cute button. Howdy pilgrim!

Update: Since
this Fall Friends collection is an older one, I've added product links
to the Doodlebug Pumpkin Spice collection that would make a great substitution. It's
adorable and you can simply change out the pilgrims for woodland
creatures!
