Basketball Scrapbook Mini Album, Doodlebug Slam Dunk

Today's Project: Doodlebug Slam Dunk Mini Album

When the boys were young, they both played basketball, but as they grew up, they didn't quite grow UP enough (ha ha) so basketball didn't become their thing. Still, we always had a hoop on our driveway and they enjoyed playing pick-up games with the neighborhood kids.

This little album, using Doodlebug's new Slam Dunk collection,  will be perfect for saving all of those fun memories.

I used one of Doodlebug's tabbed chipboard mini albums and loaded up the cover with paper from the Slam Dunk 6x6 paper pad.   The large circle was cut from the back of a 'game stripe' 12x12 sheet.

I love the smaller prints in the 6x6 pads, and the little versions of the cut-apart cards are perfect for mini albums.  The "Love the Game" piece is a 4x6 card on the 12x12 sheet, but fits perfectly at 2x3 from the smaller paper pad.

But don't ignore the larger 4x6 cards for mini albums!  As you can see above, I used one on the left side of this layout by just trimming two of the sides down a bit.

I love the die-cut basketball flying off the top of the album ... and although not shown well in this photo, the right side page has a card that flips up to add photos inside.  I added a few number stickers to the jersey.  Mine represents the year, but it's even more fun to add your player's number!

Finally, none of my projects are complete without enamel dots and sprinkles. Doodlebug has lots of fun enamel shapes ... the stars were perfect for this album.

A Christmas Mini Scrapbook Album Makes a Wonderful Gift

Trying to think of what to get that girl who has everything ... the hostess who always plans the perfect party, or a family member who doesn't see the kids as often as she'd like?

Consider a Christmas album filled with photos of friends and family, or leave the pictures out so they can add their own!

If you know someone who loves to scrapbook but rarely has the time ... give them a do-it-yourself kit from Artsy Albums!  All of the materials are pre-cut with full instructions ... they just need a few small tools and some adhesive!

Blog Hop AND Baseball Party Decor

Hi everyone!  Lots going on today!  I'm hopping along with Lori Whitlock's Creative Team for our December blog hop, AND I have a fun project posted over on Doodlebug's blog.

First, my Doodlebug project ...  the new Home Run collection is perfect for all of your baseball themed projects.  I made this set of party decor for birthdays or team parties, and it was really easy to create!  Visit Doodlebug Designs to get more details....

...now scroll down to continue Lori Whitlock's blog hop!  I've got a Christmas tag tutorial to share with you!

For my blog hop project, I created some Christmas tags for my gifts.  These are really fun to make and super easy!

To make your own Christmas gift tags:

1.  Duplicate Lori's tag file several times on an 8.5x11" mat in your Silhouette software.

2.  Go to Lori's shop and download Christmas shapes and phrases ... both work great!

3.  Resize the phrases and shapes so that they fit into the tag shape, and add fill color if needed.

4.  Select the Christmas shape or phrase and hit "no cut" in the cut settings.  Be sure that the tag shape is still set to cut.

5.  Once you have colors filled, shapes sized, and cut settings chosen, PRINT the tags on to white cardstock.  Be sure registration marks on turned on!

6.  Once printed, use your Silhouette to cut the tags out.  You can also create an OFFSET background to mat the tag on colored card stock.

7.  Finally, add ribbon, Doodlebug's chunky twine, gems, or other details to really make your tags the highlight of your Christmas packaging.

I know that was a quick tutorial, so let me know if you have any questions by leaving a comment.

Now, back to Lori's blog hop .... don't miss these awesome goodies too!

Leave a comment on Lori's blog for a chance to win a $20 Gift card in her shop!

Paw Prints on My Heart, Dog Scrapbook, Echo Park

Happy Saturday everyone! My new pet album will make a wonderful keepsake for photos of your precious pup or give it as a really thoughtful gift. At 8x9 inches, the album is just the right size for a purse. You can take it on the go to share your cute photos with friends and family or display it on a shelf or coffee table! The inside pages measure slightly larger than 6"x8".

Rich, vibrant colors, fun titles, and lots of embellishments -- these are just a few of the things that adorn the 12 pages of this adorable album.

This album was designed with paper and embellishments from Echo Park's Bark Collection. The pages include wonderful pockets, tags and a fold-out so that at least 24 photos can be added to the scrapbook. PLUS we've included 8 divided photo sleeves for additional pictures.

The title on the cover says "PawPrints on my Heart" and uses a die-cut designed by MissKateCuttables (see link below).
I always create my albums so that photos can easily tuck under embellishments and I always use only acid-free, photo-safe supplies.
