Hot Chocolate Mini Scrapbook Album

Happy National Hot Chocolate Day!! Yep, there is a day that celebrates this warm yummy beverage. Did you know that hot chocolate dates back to 1700 BC? Me neither! I guess since it's been around so long, it deserves it's own day. Hot cocoa reminds me of comfort, winter, and fun snow filled days. Today, I'm sharing an acrylic mini album that's shaped like this little mug of sweetness.

Hot Chocolate Scrapbook Mini Album with Sprinkles

Look how cute she is! To make this, I chose the Doodlebug Design, Pumpkin Spice Cider cutting file and a pretty pink acrylic for the covers. However, you could use card stock instead.

Then, I decorated it with Doodlebug's adorable Made With Love Collection. I added a strip of flowers (from the 12x12 Flour & Sugar print) along the bottom, the green border (from the This & That sticker sheet), and those adorable pink cheeks (enamel dots in cupcake). Product links below.

For the whip cream on top, I used a frosted clear acrylic and a Fig card stock underneath. Then covered the swirl with brightly colored enamel sprinkles. The hot chocolate is Doodlebug's petite prints dot & stripe.

Inside, I covered each of the white card stock pages in a pretty print from the 6x6 paper pad. I made 2 different sized scalloped circle mats. The smaller ones (like in the photo above) were made with a 2.5" scallop punch and a 2" circle punch. I used a 3" and 2.5" for the larger ones.

Hot Chocolate Scrapbook Mini Album Page with cocoa & marshmallows

On each page, I added some adorable pieces from the Odds & Ends, Chit Chat, and some icon & mini icon stickers. Those tiny marshmallows are killin' me, they're so cute!!

Hot Chocolate Scrapbook Mini Album Page

This was the perfect collection for this project. It's all about baking and sweet treats so there were lots of sayings and images of chocolate and marshmallows.

Hot Chocolate Scrapbook Mini Album Page with hearts

There are also hearts and XOXO's. Valentine's Day is just around the corner so you could make this as a sweet gift for someone. The album is 6" wide x 7 3/4" tall and it has 10 pages. Great for favorite photos, everyday memories, or ... a special date!

This would also be perfect for photos of an afternoon making hot chocolate, being cozy around a fire pit, or roasting marshmallows. It would be super cute for spring or, even an Easter gift filled with photos of the littles.

Most everything I used in this project was from the Made with Love Collection with the exception of few die cut pieces. I found the 2 little mugs on the page above in the Lots of Love Odds & Ends.

And these pretty flowers came from the Lots of Love Bits & Pieces (links below).

You just never know where you'll find inspiration. For me, this week ... it was National Hot Chocolate Day. Next week, it will be something completely different. Thank goodness we have all these wonderful paper collections to bring our visions to life.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today and happy scrapping everyone!

Let It Snow Winter Scrapbook Album

Hello scrappy friends, it's time for a NEW album! Today, I'm sharing a super cute winter mini with you titled "Let It Snow".  I designed it with the PhotoPlay, Snow Day Collection and it made me so happy! I love the pink and navy blue colors, the snowmen, penguins, and the playful pattern papers. It's adorable and perfect for this season's memories.

I also created the white acrylic 4.5" x 6.5" album. This has space for 28 photos so it's the perfect size for vacation pictures, skiing, playing in the snow, building a snowman, or making snow angels.

Isn't the cover cute? I love this pink paper with all the circles. I added the scalloped snowman and some extra snowflakes for a little more dimension, then a beautiful blue sweater print in the background.

More scalloped circles act as tabs on some of the inside pages. They peek out half way to show off their cute patterned papers. I love that they mimmick the cover and have a purpose!

This scrapbook has 16 pages that include 2 fold-out pages, 2 pockets, and 6 fantastic lil flippies. Lots of fun interactive elements.

You Color My World Acrylic Mini with Doodlebug

Hey everyone! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project that's a cute mini album titled You Color My World! The instructions AND the clear acrylic album are available in my shop (links below).

This 4.5 x 7.5" scrapbook is perfect for Valentine's Day and would make a super sweet handmade gift. It's also a wonderful place to save your own photos of loved ones, your sweetheart, the littles, friends, a beloved pet, or anyone that's special to you. 💖

Lots of Love Valentine's Day Acrylic Mini Album with Doodlebug

To purchase the instructions for this project visit:

To create this, I chose the Doodlebug Lots of Love Collection and one of my clear Acrylic Scallop Edge Albums. On the front, I used a 3.5" scallop circle punch and a 3" circle punch to make the shape in the center. Then, I added pieces from the Odds & Ends and some enamel shape sprinkles.

Underneath the acrylic cover, I added more shape sprinkles and the title piece from Chit Chat. The strip of tiny flowers is from the 6x6 print called Sprinkled With Love and the rainbows are from the same 12x12 print.

Valentine's Day Scrapbook Album Page with Ladybug, flowers, and polka dots

This album has 12 white card stock pages (6 double-sided) and I covered each one of them with a pretty 12x12 pattern paper. I also added 4 flippies (like the "Hello Love Bug" one above), 2 fold-out pages, 1 pocket page (see below), and 1 smaller pocket for tags. So many goodies!

Valentine's Day Scrapbook Album Page with rainbows, mailbox, & bird

The pink pocket above is perfect for journaling, small love notes, movie tickets, a postcard, a brochure, a hotel room key, or a candy wrapper from your favorite sweet treat.

Valentine's Day Scrapbook Album Page with rainbow, mailbox, and mail

I love the little tag and twine that stick out the top of the album and those 2 little pieces of mail. Such cute details! I also added some colorful petite prints throughout like the dot & stripe, woodgrain, and the linen. These prints are a must-have for me. I use them in everything!

Valentine's Day Scrapbook Album Page with pocket, tags, and hearts

I made a cute polka dot pocket to hold a few tags. You can add a little photo to the front, then add dates, locations, names or make notes on the back side of the tags.

If you'd like to recreate this scrapbook, the Instructions are available in my shop along with the Acrylic Scallop Edge Album (links below). I hope you have fun with this project. Happy scrappin'!

Winter Wonderland 12x12 Page Layout

Happy Wednesday friends! I had some time to play yesterday ... Don't you love those days?  When you can sneak in a bit of time, in the middle of the chaos, to just do what you love to do?  I made myself take a break.  I just wanted to create something.  Something smaller than an album, but not as small as a card, and this is what I came up with!

12x12 Winter Wonderland Scrapbook Page Layout

Something about pattern paper calms me (and straight lines, LOL).  So creating this layout was very relaxing.  As I was cutting the 1/2" strips, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do, but it came together and I love the result.

12x12 Winter Wonderland Scrapbook Page with flowers & snowflakes

Full disclosure ... I'm not really good at perfectly lined up corners, so most of the strips were a bit wonky.  But as I always say, there should be no stress with paper and glue. So, I came up with a solution to cut thin 1/4" strips of white paper to cover my mismatched corners, added a bit of sparkle with gems, and all was good!

Below is a picture before I added the white strips and pretty rows of gems :). Yikes!

I got a little over zealous with the gems and added them to my flowers too.  Hey, it's all good!  A girl needs a little bling in her life!

12x12 Winter Wonderland Scrapbook Page with little girl & bunny rabbit

This little girl.  Oh how she has my heart.  Standing in the middle of a rare Georgia snowfall, with her Anna boots and "Frozen" dress, singing "Let It Go"!  So when my page corners didn't match up perfectly, I decided to let it go!!!  Doing so led me to a result that I like even more.

So, let it go my friends! Slap the paper down, enjoy the process, and have FUN with it!

Birthday Invitation for Movie & Popcorn

Hello sweet friends and happy Monday! Today, I'm hopping on the blog to share a fun project that was inspired by National Popcorn Day. It's a cute invitation that would be perfect for a movie themed birthday party, whether it's at home or ... at your local movie theater!

Handmade Birthday Party Invitation for Movie & Popcorn

To make this, I printed out the text in Canva, a free online platform where you can create graphics. I backed the card with 4.25 x 5.5 (A2 size) card stock using some patterned papers from Doodlebug's Fun at the Park 6x6 paper pad.

The cute popcorn bucket is from the Fun At The Park Odds & Ends and the little popcorn pieces are icon stickers. I love their tiny faces! The soda bottle is a Doodle-pops from the Bar-b-cute collection called Foodie Friends

Handmade Birthday Party Invitation for a Movie & Popcorn

So, for the next movie themed birthday party that comes up ... I gotcha covered for the invite. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
