Sweet Summer Fun Album - New Instructions

Hello friends! Summer is in full swing and I hope everyone is having fun enjoying the sun and family time. I also hope you're finding time to scrap and document your memories. Today, I'm sharing something that just may help. I've added the instructions for my retired Sweet Summer Fun Album to the shop today! These are easy, step-by-step and have full color photos of each page. 🌞

I love, love, love all the yellow ...  the yellow album, the yellow and white striped paper (Happy Hour) and that smiling sunshine. And wait till you see the inside ... so much cuteness!

This album was made with the adorable Sweet Summer Collection but you can use any summer collection you love. Ok, so can we just talk about the 1980's boom box & cassette tapes!? So funny and totally from my generation! I love it paired with the pretty Plaid Punch and Summer Paradise prints.

I've added links below for this collection but you can also find more at Starlit Studio. She has a lot of the papers for this collection, the Doodle-pops Boom Box and the This and That.

My instructions will show you step-by-step how to recreate all the fun interactive elements in this scrapbook including fold-out pages, flippies and pockets.

Oh my gosh, that sunshine paper, Catching A Wave is one of my favorites. I paired it with the Fruit Cocktail print and ... so many smiling faces! 😊

These are a few pages of the pages in my Sweet Summer Fun album. To see more, visit the listing in my shop by clicking on the link below.

I've added some of the products used in this album and a few extras from the collection just in case you want to use them too. Happy scrappin'!

12x12 Fireworks Layout for the 4th of July

Hey guys! The 4th of July 🇱🇷  is almost here and I'm super excited for the holiday weekend. Honestly, it doesn't take much to make me happy now-a-days, lol! I'm thrilled to be having the family over, eating, having cocktails and watching the fireworks.

So with the fun weekend on my mind, I decided to make a 12x12 layout of my grandlittles for a some patriotic inspiration. They're so cute! 💗 I used the colorful Doodlebug, Land That I Love Collection and a Michaels cutting file for the fireworks!

I started with the 12x12 "Having A Blast" paper for the base and layered the "Seeing Stars" paper on top. I found this cute cutting file called Fireworks in the Silhouette Design Store. I thought it would be fun to cut them out of simple white cardstock and back them with colorful Doodlebug papers. The July, 4th, hearts, stars and firecrackers are die cuts from the Odds and Ends. (Links below)

I sprinkled lots of mini jewels around the sparks for a a little glitz. I don't use them very often but I should ... they're so pretty! Oh, and the Blessed tab is from the This and That.

I just love the little firecrackers in the corner. Isn't everything just cuter when Doodlebug puts a face on it, lol?!  I've listed links for the products used below except for the "Seeing Stars" paper and the This and That. You can find those at Starlit Studios here.

Pineapple Shaped Welcome Mini Album

Hello friends, I hope you had a fun weekend! I heard June 27th was International Pineapple Day. I never knew there was such a day but ... it inspired me to create a pineapple accordion mini! So, tadaaaaa! I never made one of these before but I think it turned out pretty darn cute!

Pineapple Shaped Scrapbook Mini Album by Artsy Albums

The yummy pineapple has been known as a symbol of welcomeness and hospitality so ... while I was making this, I thought of a few fun ideas for it. It would be a really sweet gift for a new neighbor to welcome them to the neighborhood. 🏡

You could use this in a vacation rental to welcome your guests. Fill it with local information they might find useful like great shopping, restaurants and fun activities. Or use it as a guest book where they can leave positive comments or signatures for others to read.

Fill this with photos from a tropical themed birthday party, anniversary, bridal or baby shower or ... a Hawaiian luau! Add lined paper instead of photo mats and again, it could be used as a guest book!

Change out the Welcome title (which btw is from the Doodlebug Hello Chit Chat, link below) and you could save your summer photos here. It would be great for a weekend getaway, pictures by the pool or beach side with a Pina Colada in hand! Yum!

Tropical or Hawaiian themed nursery? Adorable! Fill this little album with sweet baby pictures. But, maybe leave out the cocktail die cuts, lol!

I love the bright colors, tiny pineapple printed paper, pink flamingos & palm trees from the Doodlebug Fun in the Sun Collection. One of my favorites! I used the icons stickers which were the perfect size and also incorporated Bella Blvd Besties Hearts and Ombre paper in Bell Pepper & Guacamole. (Links below)

To create the shape of this album, I used the Doodlebug cutting file called Pineapple (link below). The Hello Sunshine die cut and the pink heart are from the Fun in the Sun, This and That. You can find some of this Doodlebug collection at Starlit Studio HERE like the pretty Paradise Plaid shown in the pic above.

I hope this mini inspires some cute pineapple projects! 🍍

Crafting Memories Scrapbook Album

Today is a great day!! I finally get to share this adorable album!! From the minute I saw the new Doodlebug, Cute and Crafty collection I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. I love the colors, the theme and those funny little die cuts that are the mini version of scrapbooking supplies!! Keep scrolling, you'll see ... 😉

To purchase the instructions to make this album visit:

I'm really loving the pretty pink Simple Stories binder with this collection. The album has 20 fun scrapbook pages (10 double sided) and will hold over 60 photos! That's enough space that you can continue to add to it over time!

The fun cover is filled with papers and die cuts of different crafting tools like, scissors, watercolor paints, pencils, spools of thread and photos. So, whatever your creative hobby is, this scrapbook is perfect for all of them!

Crafting Memories scrapbook album page with craft supplies, a cute car, and a pretty plaid

Oh, I do love a pretty plaid but ... that's not the best part of this page! The "girls weekend" is a card that folds to the right for photo & journaling space. THEN, the little square card with the tools flips up. AND THEN ... wait for it ... the whole 4x6 card that says "Create" opens up to the left!! Layers upon cute little layers to hold your fun photos of crafting with friends!!

These colors make me so happy. It's like being in a candy store! This page has two little flippies that use a pretty rainbow pencil paper. I love it next to the flowers.

Crafting Memories scrapbook album page with lots of cute craft supplies and photo mats

Ok, here's where I started getting giddy with my crafty self. I made this page look like a scene from my scrapbook room. I used the mint green grid paper as my cutting mat, and arranged the die cuts to look like my table. But look closely ... that is a die cut of a Doodle-pops! How stinkin' funny is that?! It's a Doodlebug collection of a Doodlebug collection! Hahahaha!!! Genius.

Crafting Memories scrapbook album page with with craft supplies and space for photos of a scrapbooking retreat

This album is perfect for saving great memories from a weekend crop, a scrapbook expo, or a retreat. What about an afternoon (or evening) crafting with friends? Take pictures, share ideas, swap supplies and maybe, enjoy some wine and snacks!

You could use this scrapbook to save photos of your own scrapbook room or, maybe your own artwork. Do you sew, make quilts or clothes? Are you a painter? Before you sell your art, take photos and save them here!

If you love to attend arts and crafts festivals or love crafting with the littles, document those wonderful, messy and artistically fun moments in a keepsake you'll have forever.

Crafting Memories scrapbook album page with craft tote, Doodle-pops, scissors, and washi tape

Here's another page that I love. The little die cuts are exactly like the Doodlebug supplies I scrap with. That is so clever! And btw, I made that a flippie card so if you pull down the handle of the pink polka dot bag ... you can add more photos in there!

Such beautiful colors on this page and .. the die cut of the Odds and Ends!! LOL! I'm so in love. And, I hope you are too! This collection was easy to work with and made me laugh the entire time. I think you're going to have just as much fun putting this together as I did making it. Enjoy!

Update: This kit has sold out but the instructions are available in my shop. They are simple, step-by-step, and include measurements and full color photos of each page. Links for the instructions and the products used are below. Happy scrappin'!
