Doodlebug Happy Go Lucky Gift Set

Hi everyone!  I'm excited to be back over on Doodlebug's blog today to share a cute gift idea using their new Happy-Go-Lucky collection.  For my project I made a teacher's gift set.  Here are the details:

To start, I used white card stock and "Happy-Go-Lucky" pattern paper to create a small gift box.  I used a cutting file by Alaa'K  and tied ribbon through the holes in the corners.

I love Doodlebug's cards so I used two of them in my project.  I used a limeaid A6 swiss dot card, and for my sticky note holder I used a limeaid slim filigree card.
To create the sticky note holder:
Lay your slim filigree card open with the bracket shape to the left.  Using the measurements on your score board (or a ruler), create 4 score lines as shown below (1 3/4", 2", 5" and 5 1/4").  Ignore the original score line as you will cover this up with pattern paper.  Next, cut the end of the card off so that your new card is 8 1/4" long.
Add pattern paper and a button with twine to the outside, and glue a sticky note pad on the inside.
For the pen, I wrapped limeaid swiss dot washi tape around the pen and cut and layered flowers out of pattern paper for the top.  A cute limeade boutique button and bubblegum twine finished off the pen.

What's a gift without a bit of chocolate right?  So I wrapped 1" pattern paper strips around chocolate nugget candies and tucked them into a bubblegum striped treat bag.

I hope I've inspired you to create your own gift sets!  Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Mini Scrapbook Album, Party Time

Good morning friends,
Today's project share is a new mini I added in the shop yesterday.  The fun, soft colors in this collection are so happy, but I especially like the theme!

The title on the cover says "You Only Live Once....Celebrate".  There are a lot of kid-style birthday collections on the market, but rarely do you find one that is appropriate for girls like me who like to celebrate too!   This paper collection called Party Time! by Webster's Pages is perfect for adult celebrations, from birthdays to other party themes.

Some of the sayings throughout the mini album are "Forever Young", "So Much Fun", "Party Time", and "Dance Like Nobody is Watching".

This adorable mini is available in the shop in limited quantities -- DIY or pre-made.  Follow this link to purchase yours before they sell out:

Doodlebug Lovebugs: Candy Box Mini Scrapbook Album

I'm so excited to be sharing my first design team project over on Doodlebug's blog today!  It was so much fun to create so hopefully it will inspire you .... here are the details.

For this project, I was inspired by Valentine candy boxes.  I decided to create my own heart shaped box using a cutting file designed by Lori Whitlock, some Silhouette brand chipboard, and lots of goodies from the Doodlebug Lovebugs collection.

For the box, I used my CAMEO to cut all the pieces out of chipboard and then pattern paper.  (I enlarged all pieces before cutting so that a 5.5" album would fit inside).  I assembled everything together with a strong liquid adhesive and then had fun creating the top of the box.  I used ladybug chippers for my title, along with with stickers, buttons, twine, and a few heart-shaped sprinkles.   I also used cupcake twine around the edge of the box to cover up the chipboard.

For the mini album, I cut 6 hearts out of white textured card stock, and then added layers of paper from the 6x6 Lovebugs paper pad.  I love that the prints are smaller, and the cut-apart cards are miniature -- they fit perfectly throughout my little album.

Thanks so much for letting me share with you today!!
