Happy Fall Y'all Scrapbook Album

It's Fridaaaay!! Yay!! I have another WONDERFUL fall inspired album for you. It's titled Happy Fall Y'all and it's filled with all the cuteness we've come to expect from Doodlebug. It's a very different album from last week's pretty, pastel colored Homemade Memories album. Both are fantastic and fall themed but completely unique styles. Take a look at today's newbie ...

This mini was designed with the fun and playful Pumpkin Spice collection. It's filled with traditional autumn colors, woodland creatures, pumpkins, scarecrows, yummy treats and smiling faces everywhere!!

Ok, can we just discuss the cover first? So much cuteness before you even open the album! The mushrooms, the pumpkins, the acorn and cupcake, and that scarf wearing reindeer who's front and center like he just won the Olympics, lol! I love everything about this.

This album is perfect for an outdoor fall festival, a hay ride, pictures from a hike, or a visit to an apple orchard. As the weather starts to cool, it's a great time to be outside.

Fill this with family photos taken in a pretty colored landscape. Add pictures of the littles playing in the leaves or a fun afternoon at the pumpkin patch!

Add sweet selfies with your friends enjoying pumpkin spice lattes or a fun trip to the bakery with your littles (or grandlittles). Cupcakes ... uhhh, yes please!

What about a trip to the mountains, fall foliage, Thanksgiving with family, dinner with friends, or roasting marshmallows? Ohhh, the list of great autumn memories is huge! But, my album is like Superman ... it will save them all!

This album would make a thoughtful hostess gift for Thanksgiving or a wonderful thank you afterwards filled with photos from the day. It's bright and cheerful and would look amazing displayed on a coffee table or a book shelf this coming season.

Custom 4x6 Cards for Pocket Scrapbooking

Hey scrappers! Since yesterday was the 1st day of fall, I posted on social media about one of my own pocket scrapbooks that was a pretty fall themed album.  It reminded me of a custom made project that I thought would be fun to share. This sweet client asked me to make a bunch of 4"x6" cards for her pocket page scrapbook. Take a look ...

So, what is pocket scrapbooking? Well, in a nutshell ... it's a way to design scrapbook pages in a block style using clear page protectors. These pages are divided into smaller sized sections, or pockets that are usually 3x4, 4x4, 4x6, 2x2 or 5x7. Then, you simply slip your photos, journaling cards, or other ephemera into each pocket to create an entire layout.

Here's an example of a pocket page I made with pictures of my sweet nieces. The cute little December card in the center is basically what I made a bunch of for my client.

She wanted a variety of cute embellished cards for different themes, holidays and seasons to go with her fun photos.

Designing and making pocket cards is a much smaller commitment than working on an entire page. So, if you're short on time but love to scrap ... this is an awesome way to still be creative.

You can make these cards with scraps of some of your favorite papers and have fun embellishing with stickers, die-cuts and my favorite ... little enamel sprinkles!

I think the Easter cards are my favorite. I love those happy spring colors! I hope this inspires you to try pocket scrapbooking. It's super fun and you get quick results. 😍

Happy Scrapping!

Homemade Memories Album

Hello friends! Today's new album is called Homemade Memories and it's a fresh take on the autumn theme.  Instead of the usual earthy fall colors, this one uses lighter colors of sage, mint, berry and cream. It's filled with homey images of apples, baskets, baking items, sweater prints, plaids and beautiful flowers. I love it.

The album is 8.5" x 6.5" and I designed it with a collection called Apple Season. It's by a company called Mintay Papers. I just found them out of Poland and they describe their collections as warm, cozy, and full of details. They are inspired by nature, beautiful old buildings, doors, interiors, windows, and ... even fashion.

I can see lots of wonderful photos of family and friends tucked safely on these pages. Fall photos would be beautiful but it also works for simple, everyday moments.

This collection is very detailed. Look at the little die cuts on this page ... that tiny strawberry print on the clipboard, the metal clips, and those apples. Wow!

With the new season comes cooler weather, cozy sweaters, and the smell of a wood burning fireplace in the evening. I'm looking forward to having friends over, using the backyard fire pit, roasting marshmallows and sipping apple cider. Those are great memories for this album.

Use this for pictures from an afternoon picking apples, baking in the kitchen, having dinner with friends and enjoying a good bottle of wine. Sound wonderful, just don't forget to take pictures!

This would also make a beautiful handmade gift. Perfect for a birthday, Christmas or as a hostess gift for the next dinner party you attend or Thanksgiving. Now there's a great idea!

I hope you have fun with my new "Homemade Memories" Album. Hop over to my shop with the links below and get yours today. Available as a DIY kit and  preassembled.

Mouse Shaped Mini Album with Doodlebug

Hey guys! Today, I’m excited to be sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project that was posted on their blog yesterday. Since I grew up in Florida, anything theme park related makes me think of Disney World. So, when I was deciding what to create, a mini album shaped like mouse ears seemed like a no-brianer!

I used my Silhouette Cameo machine to create the mouse ears design and to cut it out of black cardstock. I made 6 double-sided pages and then had fun decorating them with Doodlebug’s, Fun At The Park collection. When I was finished with the design, I used my Cinch tool to bind it all together. (Product links below.)

I took advantage of every little space, including the ears. I mimicked the round shape with an adorable balloon die cut and a circular mat for a photo or journaling. I used a 3.5” scalloped circle and 3” circle punch for this.

Wouldn’t this make the cutest gift? You could create it for someone who’s recently visited the park or just really loves all things Disney. The size is great and the mouse shape is fun and super unique!

This album is perfect for photos of Disney’s Main Street, the castle, your favorite characters and autographs. There’s room for pictures of the rides like the roller coasters, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Peter Pan, and It’s a Small World.

Don’t forget the parade and evening light display! These fireworks die cuts are amazing and I love layering the different sizes. They’re from the new Bits and Pieces, as are most of the die cuts throughout the album.

Never underestimate the space in a mini, lol! I was able to fit 5 photo mats, a circle piece for journaling, that adorable car die cut and lots of cute embellishments on the two pages above!

For these pages, I added the cute square card, “Destination Happiness” from the 12x12 paper called Sweet Celebration and a few more die cuts (the sunshine, gingham tag, and stars) from the Bits and Pieces.

Even a little shaped album needs a cute pocket element so I added a small one for the red polka dot tag. Use this for a fun photo and tuck it away safely! And ... can you spot the tiny Polaroid shape sprinkle? Love!

Here’s what this little cutie looks like closed. I loved using iconic Disney themes for the cover - the mouse ears, the red and white polka dots and the castle. Perfect.💗
