Love You A Latte Waterfall Card

Hey guys and Happy National Coffee Day! Did you know this day was created to promote fair trade coffee and raise awareness for the plight of coffee farmers? Me neither! But, I always love learning new things! So, while the local cafés offer up a free cup of joe, this day inspired me to create a cute, coffee themed waterfall card. And I have to say ... it turned out pretty cute!

Love You A Latte Waterfall Card by Artsy Albums

Unfortunately, I can't take all the credit. I used the adorable Doodlebug Pumpkin Spice collection and a really fun card making kit from PhotoPlay called Waterfall (links below).

I used a few 12x12 prints for the card and decorated each little square of the waterfall element with the smaller 6x6 prints. I also added a few of my favorites - those shiny shaped sprinkles! Love those.

I've included a video of how this works at the bottom but to explain - when you pull down on the twine, the waterfall element unfolds and the little squares are revealed one-by-one. Seriously ... cutest thing ever.

On the inside, I used the pretty petite prints buffalo check/wood grain paper in pistachio. Then I added a 3" scalloped circle cut from white cardstock, a few cute coffee die cuts from the Odds and Ends and a sweet sentiment from the Chit Chat.

I would definitely recommend this PhotoPlay card kit. It was fun to make and it turned out ahh-dorable!! I can't wait to give it to someone special. Now, check out the video ...

12x12 Disney Adventure Layout with Doodlebug

Hello everyone! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project with the colorful Fun At The Park collection. This time, I made a cute 12x12 Disney layout with some photos of my sweet Rylee and a few new friends! 💗

12x12 Disney scrapbook layout with mickey and and minnie mouse

If you have some Disney photos and think you don't have time to scrap them ... think again! This page came together quickly and didn't use many supplies. The 12x12 print called Luggage Tags is the key to this layout.

I started with the paper called Mini Dot and layered on a piece of black and white card stock. Check out how the white dots line up around the edge ... like Hollywood lights. So cute!

I chose 8 adorable tags from that 12x12 Luggage Tags print. I cut them out and punched a hole in the top of each one. Since Rylee loves Minnie and Mickey (and I loved their colorful outfits) I chose these photos and attached them to two of the tags. You can add more photos or less ... it's up to you!

Check out Mickey's colorful confetti suit. The colors are perfect next to the blue tag. There are 18 tags on this one paper and I have to say, I love them all. I pulled some chunky Doodle twine through each row and knotted the ends.

Then I added the "adventure" title from the Chit Chat, some word stickers from the This and That and lots of cute hearts and stars. And just like that ... my magical little layout is complete!

So, if you've been to Disney and enjoyed the rides, worn the mouse ears, met the characters, cheered at the parade and watched the fireworks ... then you need this fun collection called Fun At The Park!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today and happy scrapping!

Halloween Die Cut Mini Album

Happy Monday!  For today's project, I used a fun Sizzix die designed by Lori Whitlock to make a cute Halloween project.  Although the die was designed to create a mini album for photos, I can see it being used for other projects too.

For my album, I used Doodlebug's Ghost Town collection and some black card stock. The 4"x 6" album is very easy to put together.  I just cut 6 pages out of card stock and two out of clear acetate for my front and back covers.

The pages are held together with a binding piece that has holes for ribbon. The die set also includes an inset die for layering pattern paper on each page, and several other fun dies ... 15 total including a tag, a cute arrow, a film strip, and more.

How cute is this little ghost with the bow on her head!
And that polka dot paper is one of my favorites in the Ghost Town collection.  I love the colors!

Photos can easily be added to the pages of this album, but I also thought about other ideas ....
what about a little book for a child to draw or color pictures?  A sweet book of notes or journaling, lists, or quotes?

This would make a great little gift.  Decorate it with any themed paper and you'll have a personal keepsake that any one would love to receive.  Slide the album into an envelope for an extra special "card", tuck it into a gift basket for a friend, or send it to school for a sweet teacher gift.  The possibilities for a blank booklet like this one are endless and so easy that you'll have several made up in no time!

Here is another example of an album I made with this die set last year.  You can read the original post here: https://www.artsyalbums.com/2020/11/gratitude-journal-with-bella-blvd.html

Well that's it for me today friends!  Please stop by tomorrow when I'll have a new Doodlebug design team layout to share with you!  Until then, happy crafting!
