Desk Note Box with Doodlebug Design

Hi friends! Who doesn't want a pretty desk? If we have to spend time working, paying bills, or maybe even crafting then I think it should be functional and inviting. So today for my Doodlebug Design team project, I have a something that might help to brighten up your workspace a little!

I discovered this fun box by Graphic 45 called a Book Box (approx 5x7) in my craft stash and decided to cover it with gorgeous papers from Doodlebug's Hello Collection. I wanted something for my desk to hold notepaper, paperclips and sticky notes. This will be functional and pretty!

For the outside of the box, I used 12x12 papers. The pretty pink is Doodlebug's Petite Print Floral in Bubblegum. The gorgeous plaid is called Poppy Plaid and the blue print is called Hello There. I added a scallop border sticker from the This & That to decorate around the edge and the Garden Party washi tape. (Other product links below.)

For the top, a 3x4 card, odds & ends, and a cute typewriter Doodle-pops add color and dimension. I continued the papers and scallop sticker inside the box.

Finally, I had lots of left over icon stickers from the collection so I added them to some lined note paper, punched holes, and tied up the sheets with ribbon for a fun little notepad that fits perfectly into the box. A colorful pen and some jelly clips finished up my project.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer but ... if you have to be inside at a desk, why not make it colorful and fun? Happy crafting!
