Fall Wall Hanging Decor Project

Happy 'Day Before October' everyone! Is it feeling like fall where you are? Here in Georgia we are feeling just a hint of fall in the air.  The leaves haven't started changing colors yet, but temperatures are dipping slightly in the evening and my sweaters have made it out of storage.

With fall in mind, I had fun with this little home decor project. I used the Echo Park Reflections Fall Collection. This paper line, and the adorable 6x8 canvas hanging set, are Lori Whitlock's fabulous designs.  She has this project posted over on Lori's blog today so I hope you'll visit her site and check out all of her wonderful designs.

As I mentioned, this 6x8 canvas wall hanging is one of Lori Whitlock's wonderful digital cutting files. It's fun and easy to put together, and also comes with 4 shaped pages so that you can make a scallop or decorative background on each canvas.

The phrase "A Thankful Heart is A Happy Heart" is also a file designed by Lori.

If you'd like to try out some of Lori's awesome designs, or add to your Silhouette collection, it's your lucky day!

Reflections Fall Memories Mini Album, Echo Park

Good morning everyone! Just a really quick post today to share a brand new kit that I added to my online shop yesterday.  I've had so much fun playing with this paper collection!  First, I'm just a huge fan of the paper designer, Lori Whitlock.  I love everything she creates and her new collections for Echo Park include Reflections, Reflections Fall and Reflections Christmas. They are all beautiful!

The kit for this mini album is available now in limited supply.  With so many different kits coming out over the next few weeks,  I'm keeping things limited, but with lots of variety.

So don't wait... :)  Reflections Fall Memories Album Kit

Echo Park "Beautiful Life" Gift Set

Hi friends! I'm happy to be sharing a cute gift idea over at Frosted Designs today! I used Echo Park's paper collection called Beautiful Life and made a sweet handmade card and gift box.

For the little gift box, I used my Silhouette Cameo machine and a cutting file. This would be great for candy, jewelry, small toys, tickets to an event or cookies!
For the card, I added an adorable wood banner piece from UmWowStudio and some of Doodlebug Design's Doodle Twine.

I love this Echo Park paper collection with it's cheerful colors & pattern papers. I hope you do too. Thanks for visiting the blog today!

12x12 Layout Page Kits and Simple Stories

I recently added 12x12 page kits to the Artsy Albums collection.  Just like the mini album kits, the 12x12 page kits are also pre-cut, and include full color instructions.

The newest kit includes 6 school themed pages, using papers and embellishments by Simple Stories.

Whether you prefer mini albums, 12x12 scrapbooks, or both, Artsy Albums kits are fun, easy to assemble, and make quick work of preserving those photos that you have stored in boxes or on your computer!

12x12 Sister Scrapbook Layout with Bella Blvd

Hello everyone! Any where you look these days whether it's fashion, home decor, or scrapbooking ... you'll find the chevron pattern. This popular zig-zag stripe is showing up on pillows, purses, shirts, shades, and scrapbook paper. So when Bella Blvd introduced Daily Chevies, I knew I wanted to incorporate this fun collection into my projects. And ... my first layout with it is being featured over on Frosted Designs today! Check it out ...

Everyone say hi to my sister :)  This photo was taken in West Palm Beach a few years back and is one of my favorites. Look at that blue water ... sigh ... I want to go back!

Have I told y'all about my current addiction to twine?... (no, not wine, LOL)! I absolutely love this colorful twisted string! I've been wrapping it around photo mats and today, I've wrapped it around my whole page :)

Hopefully this layout has inspired you to use some chevron patterns (and a little twine, of course) on your pages! Thanks for stopping by today!

Echo Park & Lori Whitlock -- Love them!

Hi everyone! I'm excited to be sharing a really fun fall project over on Lori Whitlock's site today. Being on Lori's design team has been wonderful because not only are Lori's silhouette cutting files awesome and tons of fun to use on projects, but since she designs paper and embellishments for Echo Park, I get to play with collections from one of my favorite paper companies :)

This is one of those times. This may look like a box but it's actually an album! Check it out :)

Lori’s envelope explosion box is just adorable and as I was putting it together (which was lots of fun, love all the pieces), I thought about some fun ideas for using it. It would be a wonderful 3d scrapbook, with little photos tucked into each of the 8 pockets. And, it would also make a wonderful Thanksgiving keepsake for the dinner table. Each guest could journal on the little cards about what they are thankful for in 2013. How wonderful to have their handwriting, sentiment and a photo tucked into the envelope pocket for sharing each Thanksgiving!

Once the box portion is complete, it looks like this:

Simple Stories Smarty Pants, School Mini Album

I'm popping on to the blog this morning to share some pics of the most recent mini album kit.  I just love anything Simple Stories comes out with and "Smarty Pants" is such a fun school collection!  I added a cute wooden ruler and some gingham ribbon to the cover -- perfect for school photos, a teacher's gift, or even field trip pictures.

School Card & Treat Bag - Sept. Blog Hop with Lori Whitlock

Welcome to Artsy Albums and your next stop on Lori Whitlock's September Blog Hop!  If you're starting here, be sure to head over to Lori's site to start from the beginning!  You won't want to miss the inspiration and fun projects at each stop!

For my project, I'm sharing my take on two of Lori's adorable designs -- the Apple Favor Bag and the A2 Dot Card.  I thought this would make such a cute gift set for a teacher or your child's bus driver!

For the A2 Dot Card, I cut the base out of red card stock, and the top layer out of white.  The holes match up perfectly, so it was very easy to adhere the top layer to the front of the card.
For the Chalkboard element, I used Lori's Back To School Board, but changed it up a bit since this needs to be a thank you card.  The file comes with two layers so I cut the larger, bottom layer from black card stock.  For the top "thank you" layer, I made a Print and Cut and the font I used ('chalkdust') was downloaded from the internet.  The cute apple comes with this file also, but I did enlarge it to a size that I thought looked cute on the card.
For the Apple Favor Bag, I decided to replace the apple with Lori's cute little school bus.  I re-sized it to fit on the bag's belly band, and used gems for the lights -- SO cute!!

I had so much fun with all of Lori's designs this week.
