Silhouette Banner for Fall using Lori Whitlock Designs

I'm happy to be on the blog today to share a new fall project with you.  I live in Georgia, and we are just beginning to see a change in the weather here in the south.   As you know, the first official day of fall was last week, so I decided to create an autumn themed banner with several of Lori Whitlock's cute Silhouette cutting files.
I used one of Lori's banner shapes from this set  for the background banner.
Next I created an internal offset to cut out the layered pattern paper.

After assembling the banner, I cut out my letters using Lori's Bubble Letter Font.

For the fall shapes, I used the following SVG and Silhouette files:

Hope you're all enjoying the change in season!
Happy fall y'all !!

Doodlebug Christmas Mini Album

Good morning friends!
I just wanted to hop on the blog this morning to share a super cute little mini with you.  This Christmas mini album is available as a DIY kit you can put together yourself, or I can make it for you and send it ready for photos.

I just love the chipboard pages and all of the cute custom edges on this one.  The papers from Doodlebug really get shown off with the layered look.  At the largest point this album measures about 5.5x5.5", so its a bit smaller that a standard 6x6 mini.  Despite the size, you can still fit 15 cute little photos inside.

I think this one would be an adorable gift for a teacher, a secret santa, a hostess, or to keep on hand during the holidays for a last minute gift.

Custom Table Display

Just hopping on the blog this morning to share one of Artsy Album's latest custom orders.  I love how these beautiful table display boards turned out for a client's church event.   We incorporated five of her favorite quotes, along with her event colors of cream, black and gold.  She requested lots of pearls, shine, and glitz! So pretty!

Here is what our client had to say when she received them:

"They came yesterday and you have exceeded my dreams.  I was so excited I called a friend to come down and see them.  Her reaction was like mine.  Thank you for the love and care you gave my project".

Please contact Artsy Albums if we can help you with a scrapbook album or other custom design project!

September Blog Hop with Lori Whitlock's Creative Team

Welcome to Artsy Albums and your next stop on Lori Whitlock's September Blog Hop!  If you're starting here, be sure to head over to Lori's site to start from the beginning!  You won't want to miss any of the creative ideas at each stop!

Living in a house with three men, it's always a big deal when football season arrives.  The team t-shirts are worn, the friends arrive with chips, and yelling at the TV screen ensues. In honor of this fun time of year, I decided to dig up some of my son's football pictures for a scrapbook layout.

For this layout, I used several of Lori's football cutting files, a paper collection she designed for Echo Park, and one of her great fonts.  The paper is "That's My Boy" and I love the colors!  Sometimes "boy" paper is hard to find but this whole collection is perfect for the sport enthusiast, gamer, or any general boy pictures.

I love the jersey comes with numbers 0-9 so you can personalize it.

I used Lori's Block Sketch font and a silver Silhouette sketch pen to write the title across the bottom of my layout.   If you haven't played with the sketch pens, I would encourage you to try them!  They really are fun to use and can add a different element to your projects.

In addition to all of the fun creative projects on today's hop, Lori is offering a sale on the svg files in her shop, and her digital files at Snap, Click, Supply

Now back to the hop!

Thanks for stopping by !!

Make Your Own Paper Dolls with Lori Whitlock Designs

Hi everyone!  I have a fun little project posted over on Lori Whitlock's blog today.  It would be a fun one to create for, or with, your daughters, granddaughters, or any other sweet little girl in your life.

When I young, I loved to play with paper dolls.  I would mix and match their little clothes and hope they would stay on, since the clothes just had those little fold over tabs...remember those??  My favorite were the "Liddle Kiddle" paper dolls because sometimes they had magnetic clothes!

Well now, thanks to Lori and your digital cutting machine,  you can create your own paper dolls and design their clothes with digital papers.  Even though I'm way past the age for playing with dolls, I had SO much fun creating these!

You will see when you download the cutting files for the dolls, that the dolls and their clothes are separate.  I created the dolls first, dropping in color fill for the skin, eyes and hair.  Next I grouped the pieces together and turned off the cut lines, except around the edge.  I printed the dolls out, cut them with my Cameo, and then cut them out of Silhouette's chipboard again.  Backing the dolls with chipboard made them a little more sturdy.

For the doll clothes, I dropped some of Lori's digital papers into the pieces first.  You can purchase her digital papers at Snap Click Supply   Just drag them from your computer directly into the shapes (using Designer Edition software).  Then do print and cuts for each piece!  This is really fun and you could involve your daughter or granddaughter in the color choices for each outfit.

As you can see, I also had fun adding ribbon, enamel dots, and bling to the clothes.  Finally, I attached a small piece of velcro to the front of each doll, and to the back of each dress so that their clothes could be interchangeable.

I hope you have fun with this little project!  Thanks for letting me share it with you today!
