NEW! Dog & Cat Scrapbook Albums

Happy Friday everyone! It's been a busy few weeks here at Artsy Albums between creating kits, shipping orders, the holiday, and my brand new Hive Membership. But today, I'm caught up and ready to introduce TWO new kits! These are for all the pet lovers out there that have lots of sweet dog and cat photos. What a great keepsake for those and a super fun weekend project.

Dog & Cat Pet scrapbook albums

I designed these with my Artsy Albums clear Acrylic Waterfall Album and the adorable Simple Stories Pet Shoppe Dog and Cat Collections. They're 8"x6" and filled with happy colors and cute pet images!

First up is my Dog Album ...

The clear acrylic covers have cute Woof & Meow titles & they're perfect for showing off what's underneath ...

... lots of colorful waterfall style pages! In the Dog Album, there are fun pattern papers with dog faces, tennis balls, bones, dog collars, words, paw prints, stripes, plaids, dots, and more.

Check out this cute face peeking around the folded page. So funny! I have many silly photos of my dogs doing this. Love it.

Both albums have 16 pages that include 2 fold-outs, 4 flippies, 2 pockets, and space for 30 photos.

There's also plenty of room in the pockets for memorabilia like
a paw print, birth records, pedigree papers, adoption records, pictures of their parents, a piece of their fur, a dog tag, and awards or certificates.

Dog pet scrapbook album page with bone shaped journaling space

Here's a great journaling spot. Perfect for documenting their favorite napping spot, toy, food or treat, best friend, or silly quirks about their wonderful personality.

Here's the Cat Album for all my feline loving friends ...

The albums are similar but vary in some of the pattern papers, embellishments, and funny sayings.
The Cat Album has fish bones, hearts, collars, cat faces, dots, balls of yarn, stripes, and little kitty paw prints.

This interactive flippie is really cute with the napping cat. Check out the little z's in the background, lol!

The journaling spot in this one is in the shape of a ball of string. Love the clever shapes.

Christmas Recipe Mini Album with Doodlebug

Hello sweet friends! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project. It's a cute mini album for Christmas recipes that uses the adorable cards from the Candy Cane Lane collection. Having one small book for just your holiday recipes will keep them organized and safe. And ... it's another great gift idea!

Christmas Recipe Scrapbook By Artsy Albums

To make this, I started with a 4x6 black and white check Flipbook, which is available in my shop HERE. On the cover, I layered white card stock and the red "Holiday Lights" paper. Then, I added a 6 3/4" x 2" strip of the green "Tree Festival" print across the middle and lots of cute trees from the mini icon stickers.

Christmas Recipe Scrapbook with snowman & Christmas trees

In the center, I used a 3" punch to cut the scalloped circle out of white card stock, a 2 1/2" punch for the black circle, then adhered the adorable snow man sticker from the This & That sheet on top.

The little snowman on the bow is a sticker from the puffy shapes icons. I love these so much, I think I've used them on every project this season, lol! I created and printed the label from my computer using Lori Whitlock's Cutie Pie font and added a few ladybug enamel dots to finish it off (product links below).

Christmas Recipe Scrapbook Album with journaling card

Just inside, I added a small journaling card. It's the perfect spot for a note, especially if this album is a gift for someone. The presents are die cuts and look so cute layered with a bit of foam tape.

Next, I added the recipe cards to the clear page protectors and voila! We're done! Wasn't that easy?

Candy Cane Lane Recipe Cards By Doodlebug Design

The recipe cards come in a pad of 36 cards and each one has a wonderful little icon from the collection. They have space for the Ingredients on the front and the directions on the back.

Christmas Holiday Gift Tags

Hello crafters! Today, I'm sharing a project that I made for Lori's Whitlock's blog and it's something we all use this time of year - gift tags! They're simple, so much fun to make, and add a sweet little handmade touch to your presents. They're also a quick craft project if you're short of time this holiday season.

Christmas Handmade Gift Tags

I used Lori's Essential Christmas Tag Bundle cutting file
and it's awesome. There 12 are designs to choose from and I love them all however, you can purchase them separately. Product links below.)

Handmade Christmas Tree Gift Tag

The Christmas tree tag might be my favorite. I added lots of enamel dots in a variety of sizes for the ornaments and included some yellow twine at the top.

Handmade Snowman Gift Tag

The snowman is so handsome with his plaid scarf and top hat. You could use this one any time during the winter season ... like for a birthday, thank you, get well, or thinking of you.

Handmade Gift Tag with present

Tie these colorful tags to a gift bag, a bottle of wine, a basket of goodies,
a wrapped box, or maybe a plant or poinsettia you're giving someone.

You can also use these in your scrapbooking. Add them to a page for decoration or use the backside for journaling or as a photo mat for small pictures.

Handmade Snowflake Gift Tag

I chose a plain textured card stock for my tags but patterned papers would look great too. Add rhinestones, stickers, die cuts or any embellishment. Have fun with these!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you’ll visit Lori’s shop for more amazing craft ideas. Happy holidays!

Joys of Winter Album + Fun Winter Activity Ideas

Happy Friday scrappers! I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season and you're finding some time to be creative because I have a gorgeous NEW kit for you. Next Wednesday, Dec 21st is the first official day of winter, so ... today's album is all about the upcoming season. It's called Joys of Winter and it's just beautiful. Below, I've also created a bucket list of fun activities that create great memories & photos opportunities.

Joys of Winter Scrapbook Album By Artsy Albums

I designed this with a 6x8 robin's egg blue Simple Stories binder and the wonderful Simple Stories, Winter Woods Collection. It has a pretty color palette with cool icy blues, soft taupe, pretty rose, and winter whites.

Winter Scrapbook Album with acrylic snowflake embellishments

Did you notice I added 3 white acrylic snowflakes to the cover? I made these custom embellishments and I love how they (and the little brads) add some dimension to the front.

Winter Scrapbook Album Page with journaling card

This album has 12 pages that include 3 pockets, 1 fold-out page and 3 flippies, the album kit also includes an additional 7 divided page protectors, so there’s space for at least 60 photos!

Winter Scrapbook Album Page for photos

It's elegant, a bit more sophisticated, and has beautiful images of winter landscapes, birds, deer, snowflakes, wood grain patterns, plaids, stripes and polka dots.

Winter Scrapbook Album Page with Simple Stories Winter Woods

This is a perfect album for photos of family, friends, a vacation, and winter fun. If you need more specific activity ideas, I created a list for you! Add photos of ...

  • Christmas, New Year's Eve, and all your holiday memories
  • Snow tagging - create amazing designs in the freshly fallen snow of your front yard, a local or national park, a farm, or a school. Use your hands or feet to create designs, patterns, and drawings in the snow. Or, leave an uplifting message to brighten someone's day.
  • Your loved ones bundled up in winter clothes with rosy cheeks
  • A Polar Bear Plunge - this is an event where you submerge your body into a chilling water typically to raise money for a charitable organization, but sometimes just for fun! Feeling brave? Strip down to your skivvies and try it for a good cause ... then hit the hot tub!
  • A winter family photo shoot with a snow covered landscape

Winter Scrapbook Album Page with bird and snowflakes
  • A winter vacation like ... an Alaskan cruise, a ski trip, a cabin in the mountains, a weekend in the city, or a trip to a National Park
  • Skiing, sledding, snowboarding, tubing, ice skating, ice hockey, dog sledding, or ice fishing
  • Take a crisp winter hike and take photos along the way of the beautiful landscape
  • Make a snowman, build a fort, have a friendly snowball fight, or make snow angels

Winter Scrapbook Album Page with Simple Stories Winter Woods
  • Snow painting - mix water & food coloring ... then put it in a spray bottle or use a paint brush and a cup. You and your kids will love creating outdoor artwork
  • A bejeweled treasure hunt - fill an ice cube tray with water and a couple drops of food coloring in each mold. Put the tray in the freezer and once they're frozen, the ice cubes will look like gems. Hide them around the yard and let your loved ones go on a treasure hunt
  • A backyard bonfire - invite friends and family, roast marshmallows, make smores, drink hot chocolate (or a hot toddy!), and enjoy a starry night!
Winter Scrapbook Album Page with pocket and journaling cards
  • Baking and decorating holiday cookies, learning an old family recipe from mom, baking bread, or creating a gingerbread house
  • A movie or game night with family or friends, gather cozy blankets and make popcorn

  • Craft time! When it's chilly outside, call your friends for an afternoon of scrapbooking, crafting, knitting, quilting, or candle-making
  • Visit a museum, try an escape room, see a play, or go bowling
  • Sign up for a cooking class or take ballroom dancing lessons

With so many great activities, you're bound to have lots of fun memories and photos to scrap! Have fun!

December Blog Hop with Lori Whitlock

Hello everyone! Today is Lori Whitlock's December Blog Hop and my blog is the first stop on the hop. But be sure to visit Lori's site because she has a sale and an awesome freebie for you!

For my project today, I created two Christmas gift card holders using a few of Lori's cutting files. They're called A2 Hugger Gift Card Holder, Elf and Santa (links below) and the file includes the envelopes too!

What a great way to present someone with a gift card. These are cute and so much fun to make. The envelopes are 4.25" x 5.5" and I love the metallic bows.

I added a small magnet under the Elf's collar and Santa's beard and a second one under the gold metallic ribbon. These secure everything and keep the gift cards from sliding around. Tilt the head back and ...

... the front of the card flips down to reveal the gift!! There's plenty of blank space inside so you could write a thoughtful message, add embellishments, or add a photo.

There's even a pretty scalloped tag on the backside for the To and From. I've add a quick video below to show you more ...

There are more inspiring projects to see today so be sure to hop to each blog for lots of great ideas!
