Gratitude Journal with Bella Blvd

Hello friends! Over the past decade, studies have shown that being thankful and simply writing down the things we are grateful for has awesome benefits like lower stress levels, better sleep, a greater sense of calm, fewer symptoms of illness, and more happiness. Yessss ... I love all that!

So, for my latest Bella Blvd Design Team project I decided to make a gratitude journal. It's a pretty mini album that uses colorful Bella Blvd papers and those fun little Trinkets puffy stickers that I adore!

Thankful Gratitude Journal Mini Album by Artsy Albums

This album would be sweet filled with pictures of people you are thankful for. Maybe it's your sweetie, mom, dad, sister, the littles or maybe a mentor. You could also fill it with pics of you and your bestie and give it to them as a fun gift!

Making your own gratitude journal is a wonderful way to focus on the positive in our lives. With space to document the things we are grateful for, this is a beautiful reminder of what makes us happy in these relationships.

Handmade Gratitude Journal and Mini Album with puffy heart stickers

I started by using Lori Whitlock's Essential Mini Album die #661094 (link below). I loved the pretty shape of it and it's smaller size. I kept it simple by cutting the base of the album pages out of white card stock. Then I used Bella Besties and lined journal paper for the inset papers.

I also added some flower die cuts and patterned paper from the Bella Blvd Chloe Collection. I love the happy colors and playful designs.

I plan to put 3x4 photos on the left side and journal about the things I'm thankful for on the right. I even added some Trinkets stickers for fun!

This would be a great project to do with kids. Not only does it help them focus on the positive things about people and recognize kindness, but it also makes a good writing opportunity. Win, win!

This would make a sweet gift for someone you're thankful for. Fill it with pictures of you and a friend, a parent or grandparent, or your child and their teacher. Then add kind words. They will treasure it forever.

I hope you can make some time to scrap and be grateful for the good things in your life.  Happy crafting everyone!

Christmas Album and Grandma's Brag Book

Happy Friday! Today, I have TWO albums to share with you. One is my new Christmas at Home Album, which ... is ADORABLE!! And the other is a cute little brag book that would make a great gift for grandma!

First up ... my "You Are My Sunshine" brag book -

This darling 5x7 inch album includes both acrylic and card stock pages, lots of cute Doodlebug and Bella Blvd embellishments, and spots for 22 photos.

Pictures of visiting grandma, baking or cooking Grandma's favorite recipes, playing games together, and lots of other special memories can be shared in this sweet album.

Bright happy colors go right along with the precious sunshine faces ... so cute!

My second album is titled Christmas At Home -

This fabulous 6x8 inch album is filled with Christmas cheer and lots of interactive flaps, pockets, and fold-out pages. Say hello to Santa!!

From the swirly "snow" on the roof, the shiny light sprinkles, and Santa popping out of the chimney ... the cuteness does not disappoint on every page of this scrapbook. I created this with the Doodlebug Design, Night Before Christmas Collection and it's adorable!

The first page has a folded tag card tucked into a pocket with the cutest little fireplace scene. That puppy better get to sleep or Santa's going to fly right over that house without stopping :)

I think it would be SO cute to give the Dear Santa sheet (above) to a child so their handwriting is included in the album!

Consider giving Grandma the brag book filled with photos of the little ones. She'll appreciate the handmade gift and cherish the photos. And my Santa album will be so cute sitting out year after year to remember your special Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today and happy crafting!

Pumpkin Pie Treat Boxes

Hello crafty friends! I have a really fun project for you today. With Thanksgiving coming up, I wanted to make some cute treat boxes for my granddaughter to take to her friends at preschool. When I saw this Pumpkin Pie Box cutting file by Jamie Lane Designs (link below), I couldn't resist.

Pumpkin Pie Treat Boxes with bows

How cute are these! You can get the cutting file for the pie slices and the pan at the Silhouette store here and here.  Or, go to Jamie Lane Designs website here and get her tutorial here. She has lots of different pies to chose from like ... apple, cherry, chocolate cream, coconut cream, lemon meringue, pecan, and strawberry!

Pumpkin Pie Treat Boxes with bows

The back of the pie slices open up so you could add things inside like ...
  • candy
  • small gifts (money, jewelry, toys, etc.)
  • thoughtful notes telling people what you appreciate about them
  • interesting & fun topics to discuss
  • clues to a treasure hunt! Add a clue to one pie slice. Then make them hunt for the next slice that has the next clue in them (and so on). Once they've found all the slices, the pie is complete. And maybe they win/get a prize.

The cutting file comes with a paper "whip cream" design, but I decided to top my slices with cute little whip cream bows! My granddaughter will love passing these out to her friends in class. Have a great day and happy crafting!

12x12 Autumn Family Layout with Doodlebug Pumpkin Spice #2

Hey guys! Two weeks ago, I shared page #1 of a family themed, 12x12 Autumn Layout where I used the Doodlebug Pumpkin Spice Collection. And as promised, I have page #2 to show off today! Just in case you missed the first page, click here to check it out.

Both pages are all about my amazing family :) and time spent outside on a pretty fall day. The Pumpkin Spice collection was perfect with it's autumn colors and cute embellishments.
I’m loving the circle shapes lately! I used circles in a pumpkin patch layout here, in my Halloween page kit here and this adorable fall card here. The circle pattern is a great way to show off a bunch of fun and different papers and to frame small photos. On this page, I used a 12x12 die cut circle cardstock from Jillibean Soup called White Simple Circles. But ... if you have a cutting machine you could easily cut out something similar to this.

After picking out my favorite Pumpkin Spice patterns, I cut circles out of each using my 1.75" circle punch and glued them to the back of the die cut. Super easy! I backed some of them with white card stock to highlight a  few cute embellishments, and also left some open so the background paper could show through. You could also add a few extra pictures!

This page could be used for many different photos ... a day of hiking, the kids playing in the leaves, pumpkin patch photos, a corn maze or Thanksgiving Day dinner with the whole crazy, wonderful family!

Actually, this would be a great layout to use for any of your photos. Your simple everyday pictures, other holidays or a fun event. Christmas is coming and by simply changing out the paper collection you could have a pretty sweet Christmas layout!

Here's a photo of the entire two page layout, side-by-side. Cute, right?! Again, to see more pictures of page #1 click here to go to that post or you can see it on Doodlebug's blog.

Hope this gives you a little inspiration for your next 12x12 double page layout! Happy crafting!
