Love Notes Pocket Explosion Box Tutorial

Hey guys! With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I wanted to create a fun and unexpected way to show someone you love them. So, I made this little pocket explosion box with Doodlebug's Love Notes Collection. Ahhhh, it turned out so cute! I just love it. It's a great gift idea with a fabulous and unique surprise inside!

To make it, I used an awesome Lori Whitlock cutting file (links below). I cut the box out of white card stock and covered the sides with the adorable Love You Bunches paper and the petite prints, dot & stripe in cherry. To decorate the lid, I added the flower heart icon sticker, a few odds & ends, and some enamel sprinkles.

To finish the outside, I added some chunky twine in ladybug (in a bow, of course!) and a darling red boutique button. The box is adorable closed, but look what happens when you pull off the lid ...

Surprise!! The four sides drop down to expose lots of fun pockets and tags. Each side panel has TWO layered pockets. The front set was made with the pretty plaid paper and each one has a tag tucked inside. The rear pockets were made with the cherry dot print and have a flap closure.

You can fill the pockets with pictures, gift cards, love notes, tickets, or clues to a scavenger hunt. You could also add a few candies, jewelry, or a small toy to the center space.

Here's a photo of one of the rear pockets. I added some Odds & Ends and stickers to the front of each one.

There are quite a few pieces to this project, so to make the cutting easier, I created a quick video.

Lori also has a more in-depth tutorial for the basic project HERE.

Hangin' with My Gnomies Scrapbook Album

Hello everyone! I just added an adorable new album to my shop called Hangin' with my Gnomies'. I'm really looking forward to spring and these cute little gnomes, flowers, buzzing bees, and sunny rainbows are making me so happy! This mini is filled with fresh colors in Woodland hues of greens, oranges and yellows. Love.Hangin' with My Gnomies Scrapbook by Artsy Albums

This would make a great keepsake for photos of spring, summer, friends, family, and fun everyday moments. Add photos of a day of gardening, the kiddos, an afternoon at the park, enjoying nature, coffee with friends, or a trip to the botanical gardens.

I designed this with the adorable PhotoPlay, Tulla and Norbert Collection and a 6x8 inch chipboard album by 49 & Market. The album has 12+ pages that include interactive flippies, fold-out pages, pockets, and space for at least 30 photos.

I love this nature / woodland theme. Garden themed nurseries are classic so this could be perfect for pictures of a baby shower or as a gift. With sayings like "Hello Sunshine", "Gnome Sweet Gnome" and "It's the Little Things" - it would be adorable for new baby pics.

Spring Scrapbook Album with flowers and photo mats for friends & family

This would be an awesome keepsake for photos of a girls weekend, a fun tea party, or a birthday party. Maybe your teenagers have special photos with friends that need a space to be saved.

There are so many gnomes scattered throughout the pages. These fairy tale characters are thought to be guardians of underground treasure and are known to plant wildflowers wherever they go. Oh... I need some gnomes in my yard. Treasure and flowers? Yes please! Thanks so much for stopping by ...

Update: This kit has sold out but the instructions are available in my shop. They are simple, step-by-step, and include full color photos of each page. Links for the instructions and the products used are below. Happy scrappin'!
