Made with Love Recipe Box

Hey guys! Yesterday, I shared a cute 12x12 layout from an afternoon of baking cookies with my granddaughter. We love to spend time in the kitchen when she's at my house so, I decided to make Rylee her very own recipe box filled with the ones we make together!

Handmade Recipe Box with the Doodlebug Made with Love paper collection

I used the adorable Doodlebug, Made with Love collection. It has 4"x6" recipe cards that tuck perfectly inside the box (product links below). The Graphic 45 box is one that I had in my stash. It's approx. 5"x7" and called the Staples Tag Album Book Box in Kraft.

For the top, I used white card stock, a pretty plaid print called Cake Plaider and a strip of forks and spoons I cut from the print, Flour & Sugar. I punched a 3" red scalloped circle out of the Cinnamon Hearts paper and layered the "hello sugar" Chit Chat die cut on top. I used foam tape in between to give it a bit of dimension. Then I had fun with a few Odds and Ends and ... cover done!

For the sides, I used white card stock and the colorful 12x12 heart paper called Heartwarmer. I love it ... so playful!

For the inside of the lid, I added white card stock and the cute yellow print that's full of fun baking icons and goodies called Made with Love. Look how perfectly the recipe cards fit in the box! Rylee will love this and as we need them, she can take each one out individually.

I covered the sides and bottom with white card stock and the mint green print called Bake Me Happy.

I can't wait to add each new recipe as we go along. I know she'll love having this and I hope it always reminds her of the fun we have baking at Nini's. 💕

  2. Hi Traci. This is adorable. I would like to make something similar for my daughter who is in college. I can get the products but not sure of the box. She has very little space. I was wondering if you have any suggestions on what I could use? Thank you. Candie
