Recipe Folio with Waterfall Element

Hello my friends!!  I'm back today to share a gift I made for a friend's daughter who is getting married. For the shower, we were asked to bring a favorite recipe. I thought a folio with a cute waterfall element would be a great way to give her some of my favorites.

So, I needed a base for my project and the Flipbook by Simple Stories worked perfectly. I removed the metal binding from the spine and adhered the covers together by overlapping the spines and lining up the holes. The holes ended up being a cute place for a pretty pink ribbon.

 

For the inside cover, I added a pocket so that I could tuck in a note for the bride-to-be, as well as some photo mats for pictures from her shower.

 

For the recipes, I used 4x6 Photo Flip Pockets by Simple Stories to make the waterfall element. They are self-adhesive and are adhered down the left side of the back cover. They flip over to the left and the plastic will protect the recipes from drips or messy kitchen spills. 

 

 
The whole folio folds flat and is a much cuter presentation than slipping recipes into an envelope. Plus, Doodlebug's Made With Love collection has such pretty patterns and colors so it was a really fun and easy project to make.
