Hey friends! Today, I'm sharing a really fun project for Valentine's Day! It's a super cute card that uses one of Lori Whitlock's cutting files called Box Card Shopping Bag Valentine Dog (product links below).
This card is in the shape of a gift bag and it's filled with a sweet dog, flowers, and hearts. Its 3D style means it can sit out on a desk, shelf, or counter for display. I changed up the colors so the pup looks like my son's little sweetie, Tarot. Love it!
I used Bazzill red card stock for the base and layered on a beautiful floral print from Doodlebug's Lots of Love collection called Forever Flowers. For the other pieces, I used black and white paper, Bazzill card stock in lime crush and peacock, Doodlebug's gingham & linen in ladybug, and the dot & stripe in cotton candy.
For a little shine, I added a pink epoxy sticker to one of the pretty hearts and a white one inside the heart shape that's part of the LOVE. They're from Bella Blvd's Santa Squad Collection called Hearts Christmas Mix.
Wouldn't this be a perfect card for your dog walker? Or give it to a loved one, friend, co-worker, teacher, or babysitter. Or ... hide it in your little's lunch box on Valentine's Day for a fun surprise!
This 3 dimensional card can be folded flat and easily added to an envelope for mailing, or ... saved and stored as a thoughtful memento.
There is a little space in between the layers to slide a love note, a fun photo, a gift card, or money. There's no bottom to the card, so you would need to add a little tape to keep it in place.
Here's what the cutting file looks like. You can make your dog any color you like!
Such a fun and simple project to create for someone you love. All products links are listed below. Valentine's Day is right around the corner ... time to get crafty with another one of Lori Whitlock's wonderful cutting files!
