Hey guys! I have the cutest shaped mini album to share with you today! It's my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project that uses the adorable Hippity Hoppity Collection. It's just in time for the upcoming Easter holiday. I just love all the pretty colors and fun themes that come with this time of year. This project makes a great keepsake to save some of your favorite memories.
Here's how I made it ... I used a Doodlebug cutting file (link below) to cut out my base shape and cover pieces. I offset the original shape slightly so that I could cut out my white pages. Then I cut the pieces from the original shapes and adhered them to my cover and each inside page. I also made an offset of the egg portion so that I could pop it up on a white background.
The paper on this first page is amazing! It's a really pretty vellum with raised raindrops that shine. It's part of the Doodlebug's Hello Sunshine Collection and I added the product link below. I love, love, love it as a background for those adorable Odds and Ends die cuts.
This close-up shows the glossy raindrops a little better. So nice, right?! And ... how cute are the glitter sprinkles on the wagon wheels and the flower?! Let's face it ... sprinkles look great anywhere. 😊
Oh how I love these pretty printed papers!! Mix and match any of them ... you really can't go wrong. I really wanted to add the rabbit and his purple plane so I had to trim off his banner in order to make him fit. No worries ... he's still adorable and will look so cute flying over a picture of my grandson at Easter!
The hot air balloon is a Doodle-Pop called Hop Hop and Away. I think it's rainbow colors are perfect against the floral background. Check out the happy little sunshine in the sky and the 2 tiny bunnies in the basket! I love the small details... 🌞🐰
If you follow me, you know I love to create these shaped albums. I usually like to be consistent with the mat so I use a 3 1/2" round scallop punch and a 3" circle punch for the photos. The pictures can tuck behind the embellishments and still be the star of the page! Or ... at least share the spotlight, lol!
And speaking of a star ... that cruisin' bunny in the carrot car above just kills me! He's another great Doodle-Pop called "Bunny I'm Home!".
This page is perfect for a small pic of dying Easter eggs. However, the mat above is almost too cute to cover up, lol! I love mixing the small prints from the 6x6 paper pad with 12x12 papers. Those tiny prints are adorable!!
I usually hoard my Doodle-Pops but I threw caution to the wind this time and loaded them up in this album (links below). The Easter basket is so pretty with the colorful gingham and shiny eggs. And that bunny jumping over my photo mat is precious!
So what do you think? Ready to start making a shaped album for yourself? I just adore them and think they are such a fun project. I linked the products below so you can make one too!
