Horse Pop-up Box Card - Lori Whitlock June Blog Hop

Hi friends! Today is Lori Whitlock's June Blog Hop and my blog is the first stop on the hop. But be sure to visit Lori's site because she has a sale, a giveaway and an awesome freebie for you!

For my project today, I created a really cute pop-up card using one of Lori's cutting files called 5x7 Box Card Horse Stable (link below). It's designed on her website as a Father's Day card but I wanted to show how it could be used for another occasion - a country girl's birthday!

I used the Echo Park, Fun on the Farm collection (also designed by Lori Whitlock) and it turned out so cute! This could be a great card for any occasion - just change up the sentiment! It's perfect for anyone who loves horses, owns a farm or just loves a country theme.

I used a red solid paper for the base and added the wood grain print called "Sweet Stripes" on top to look like a horse stall. I added some flower stickers, the milk can and the chick from the 12x12 elements. I love that sweet little yellow chick! 💛 

There is space between the layers to slide a gift card or a special note with a thoughtful message. This card folds flat for mailing or storing. I hope you have fun with this one! I've added the product links below.

Father's Day Popcorn Box Card

Hey everyone! Father's Day is Sunday, June 19th and I have the cutest card project for you! It's a pop-up, box card that I made using one of Lori Whitlock's cutting files (links below) and it's in the shape of a popcorn box. How fun is that? It's perfect for any dad or granddad and especially if they go by Pop!

It even has a little film reel so if your dad is a big fan of the movies, he'll love it. Do you and your dad share a love for movies, go to the movies together or enjoy a good movie night at home (with popcorn, of course!) ... then this card is perfect. 

This could also be tweaked a bit and used for any occasion, like a kid's birthday party or a special movie night at home.

I rubbed / distressed the edges of the popcorn pieces using Ranger Archival Ink in Sunflower for a little more definition. I love the way it turned out. 

You could add a gift card for the movie theater in this by sliding it between the layers and taping it in for security. What a fun gift!

It looks really cute sitting out for display but it also folds flat for mailing or storing. Below are the products used to make this card.

I designed this with the Carta Bella, Sunflower Market Collection and my clear Acrylic Waterfall Album. 

The album is 8x6 inches and consists of 2 high quality 1/8" clear acrylic covers, 3 binding rings, and 8 white layered cardstock pages that cascade or "waterfall". They include 2 folding pages and 2 pocket pages. 

On the cover, I added a beautiful floral card and the "We Are Family" title. Did you see the cute little bees? They look like they're floating - such a fun detail. I also love how the pretty layered papers can be seen through the transparent cover. 

Look how gorgeous! I love the waterfall style pages. There are 16 scrapbook pages (8 double-sided) that include 2 fold-outs, 2 pockets, and 3 fun little flippies. The interactive elements make this album super interesting to flip through. 

This is one of the pockets. Perfect for photos, greeting cards, pressed flowers, notes from a loved one, or tickets to a fun event.

Say hello to my little flippie! Such a silly name for these cards but so appropriate. This is just one clever way to add extra photo space to mini album pages. 

This  scrapbook has space for about 30 photos, so ... add pictures of family, friends, a farmer's market, your home, a farm, a weekend getaway, a bed and breakfast, a party, or time in the countryside. Sounds lovely!

8x8 Home Scrapbook Pages for June

Hi friends! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project. I made these June 8x8 pages for Rylee's album and they're filled with the adorable My Happy Place Collection.  

As you may remember, I document our fun moments together in a Doodlebug Storybook Album. Each month, I add 4 new pages and at the end of the year ... I will have the sweetest keepsake.

My home and my family are definitely my happy place and because my granddaughter lives close by, I'm lucky to spend so much time with her. We play games, bake cookies, make crafts, watch movies, and read books. So with all that fun, I needed lots of space for pictures. On this page, I added a rainbow photo mat, an awesome pocket and ...

 

... an adorable flippie! Isn't this birdcage Doodle-pops cute?! I put it on one of the 3x4 element cards. So many good spots for photos, journaling or whatever little memorabilia Rylee picks up along the way, lol!  

For this page, I used a 4x4 page protector and lots of pretty prints. This collection has so many pattern papers that are wonderfully generic. They go with just about any photo. Dots, hearts, stripes, flowers and plaids ... yes please, to all of them!!

This square is my favorite. I used a 3.5" scallop circle punch to create a simple white mat that mimics the shape of the flowers. Then added the cute doodle-pops flowers so they could be the focus of the page.🌸 

Y'all know my heart skips a beat for any cute sprinkle stickers so, I lined up these adorable little houses from the Home Sweet Home shape sprinkles. 

This page would be perfect for one of our backyard picnics or planting flowers in the garden. That print with all the potted plants is ahh-dorable!

More cute sprinkle houses and some itty bitty pink hearts!

I added a few shapes from the Bits & Pieces, Odds and Ends, Chit Chat and even some stickers from the This & That sticker sheet. I think I may have used a little something from every bit of this collection!

The die cuts from the Odds and Ends work perfectly to create a little neighborhood scene. Rylee loves to ride her bike from her house to my house so this page will be perfect for that photo.

I hope these pages inspire you to create some great pages for your photos but also, to start a monthly album. It's a lot easier to do a little at a time than a whole year at once. Believe me, I've been there ... done that, lol!

NEW! Family First Scrapbook Layout Kit

Hellooooo Friday!! It's time to introduce 2 awesome NEW projects that I've just added to the shop.  First, I've listed the instructions for my Down On The Farm tractor shaped scrapbook AND the acrylic album that goes with it! I originally made this as a Doodlebug Design Team project - see the post here, but after maaaany requests (thanks for the love, guys!), I've made these available! Links are below.

I love to add special elements to scrapbook pages like this pocket. It's perfect for tags, small photos, or journaling cards. And that 6x6 paper on the pocket kills me with all those tiny images. Adorable!

 

These pages would be great for all the good times when family or friends come to visit. Maybe it's for a family reunion, a vacation or to celebrate a special occasion like a birthday, graduation or anniversary.

Or maybe it's the smaller, everyday moments with the littles or grandlittles, your beloved pets, backyard playtime, making crafts, time in the kitchen, dinner with friends, wine tasting with the girls, or your beautiful home.

I've added lots of sweet little details. There are die cuts of plants, houses, furniture, and words that will highlight your favorite moments. 

These 6 pages will make a great addition to any album. They're all about saving memories of the people you love most whether that's family or ... friends that feel like family. 💗
