Hello everyone! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project and it's so, so cute! It's a colorful mini album titled "Rainbow Kind of Day". I designed this one with envelopes, cards, and the wonderful Over The Rainbow collection. It's a great project for spring!
It would be perfect for photos of family gatherings, friends, the littles playing outside, enjoying a day at the park, gardening, Easter, or everyday photos.
The cover sets the stage for all the cuteness that's inside. The rainbow, the sunshine, and the colorful flowers ... yep, feels like springtime is coming! I even added beads to the book rings for a playful touch.
I love the cloud raining down those little colorful hearts! I added the enamel sprinkles for more sparkle. It's so cute ... it might be my favorite part of the mini, lol!
To make this, I chose 5 envelopes in different colors. I lifted the flaps and covered the front of the envelopes with white cardstock. Then, I decorated them with a mix of 12x12 prints, embellishments, and photo mats.
Open the cover and the first page is the pocket side of the envelope. I lined the pockets with more patterned papers and adhered die cut pieces and cute enamel sprinkles to the bottom section.
Inside each pocket, I added a title card, a journaling card, and one A2
sized card that will hold 4 photos. You can also add dates, notes, events, locations, names, or tell the story of your fun day!
Add some enamel shape sprinkles to die cut pieces or stickers for extra details.
I even added an enamel dot to the mushroom house's doorknob. The little details make me so happy! Lol!!
Sometimes ... more is more. Doodlebug's patterns are so fun and since they share the same color palette, I like mixing the size of the prints. The small polka dots next to the larger flowers look pretty darn cute.
I hope this project inspires you to use envelopes and cards in a different way. And ... encourages you to play with the adorable Over the Rainbow Collection! It's perfect for spring and will make you so happy!

Love it! So bright and fun.
