Hello friends and Happy Blog Hop day! Today is Lori Whitlock's March Blog Hop and my blog is the first stop on the hop. But be sure to visit Lori's site because she has a sale and more great products for you!
For my project today, I have a fun 12x12 page that uses one of Lori's amazing cutting files called Lucky Horseshoe. It's a great design that I duplicated 4 times on a 12x12 page to create a fun layout.
Here is the cutting file ...
And here's how I set it up in my Silhouette Cameo software. As you can see, I duplicated the shamrocks and stars 4 times and rearranged everything on my 12x12 mat.
I cut this out on a piece of 12x12 white card stock first, and then cut the 12x12 sheet down to 11.5" x 11.5".
Once I had the shapes cut out of the white base, I turned the paper over and added scraps of Doodlebug Over the Rainbow 12x12 paper to the back side. As you can see, I don't like to fussy cut, so I just made sure everything covered the spaces. What a mess! But hey, no one will see that part, and it was quick and easy :)
Once the page is flipped over, you can see that the cut out shamrocks and stars are backed with adorable paper. Cute! Next, I added some enamel dots to the horseshoe. I saved the piece that was cut out of the white card stock and used it as a guide to add the enamel dots.
This was an easy way to find the perfect placement for the dots.
And ... tadaa! It's done and it turned out pretty cute, right? Lol!
You could use this page for a St. Patrick's day party, the littles at school doing a fun holiday activity, a visit to an Irish pub,
drinking green beer, or cooking up some traditional Irish corn beef and cabbage.
Or ... you add pictures of family and friends that you feel lucky to have in your life.
There are more inspiring projects to see today so be sure to hop to each blog for lots of great ideas!
