Happy Friday! Time for another new album and this one is all about family. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a handmade scrapbook with its photographs, handwritten notes and sweet mementos is worth many more.
I designed this scrapbook with a collection from Simple Stories called Simple Vintage Ancestry. I love the warm fall colors, floral designs and traditional elements. I think it's perfect for all kinds of family photos. Professional family pictures taken in a park or a colorful back yard would be beautiful saved here.
I also love the idea of collecting old family black and white pictures and saving them in one amazing album. Your parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles are all part of your story. Do you have old wedding photos or pictures of historical family homes? Gather some info about these photos and write a brief note about them. Try to add names, dates or locations so that these family stories are not forgotten.
This album is 6"x8" and has 36 pages. That's enough space for a giant family reunion! Thanksgiving is right around the corner and that means a houseful of family and friends, good food and fun memories. Be sure to take those pictures!
I love the flowers and butterflies next to the vintage embellishments of old cameras, gears and watches. I think it's a great mix that keeps this album from being to feminine.
This would be a beautiful handmade gift for the holidays ... for the hostess of Thanksgiving or a meaningful Christmas gift. Be sure to check it out today and thanks for stopping by!
