Thank You Pop Up Card - November Blog Hop with Lori Whitlock

For my project today, I made a beautiful 5x7 inch thank you card that's filled with lots of pretty flowers. It's perfect for the holiday season when everyone is visiting others and receiving gifts. You can change up the colors and papers to reflect the season or leave it wonderfully generic, like I did! 

I used one of Lori's awesome cutting files called 5x7 Thank You Pop Up Card and her new Echo Park, A Year in Review Collection. I chose 12x12 and 6x6 papers, and lots of colorful enamel dots (link below). Check out the inside ...

It's so pretty and such a cute surprise! I love the flower print titled October. It really makes a statement next to those cute little pop-up blocks. I used the smaller 6x6 prints on those.

Happy Fall Y'all House Shaped Card with Lori Whitlock

Happy Fall Y'all! I love this time of year. It means cozy sweater weather, crisp autumn air, falling leaves, and the start of the holiday season. It’s the perfect time to send some warm wishes to our favorite people by making a few handmade cards. So today, I'm sharing a little house shaped card I made with one of Lori Whitlock's amazing cutting files.

I used the Christmas House Card cutting file but re-imagined it with fall colors and a new title to create an autumn version. I chose paper and enamel dots from Lori's Echo Park, I Love Fall Collection and one print for the roof from the Simple Stories Trail Mix Collection (product links below). I think it turned out pretty cute!!

By changing the paper, embellishments, and sentiment you can use this 1 file to create a card for lots of different occasions. I used the Silhouette software and the text feature to alter the original Merry Christmas sign to say Hello Fall Y'all instead.

Now this card can be given to someone for Thanksgiving, a house-warming, to welcome them to the neighborhood, to say thank you, Happy Birthday, or ... just to let them know that you're thinking of them.

I love playing with Lori's fun cutting files and being creative with them. I hope you found inspiration in today's project and you'll give this Christmas House Card a try. It makes a beautiful card for ANY occasion!

I designed these with the Echo Park, Christmas Time Collection. They're filled with poinsettia flowers, Santa, reindeer, birds, birdhouses, a sleigh full of presents, a snowman, red trucks, snowflakes, and pretty plaids.

I've added lots of fun holiday embellishments to each page like cute Christmas element cards, stickers, enamel dots, chipboard pieces, and shiny brads.

I've also included some interactive goodies like ... a pocket filled with photo mats, cards for journaling, 3 flippies, and space for 40 photos. The page above has a pocket ... that's also a flippie!

These gorgeous holiday colors will highlight photos of a Christmas tree, your decorated home, family dressed in holiday outfits, a Christmas show, a light festival, or a neighborhood party.

They'd also be great for pictures of a white Christmas! I love the snowflakes, sleds, and snow covered trees. Add photos of the littles building a snowman, making snow angles, or your frosty landscape.

If your child wrote a letter to Santa, be sure to take a picture of it before you send it off to the North Pole! Then, add the photo to your layout so you'll always remember what they said and asked Santa for.

Can you see that farmhouse flair I mentioned? The pretty gingham and plaid prints, the cute red pick-up truck with string lights and Christmas tree, and the wood grain papers all give it a beautiful country, yet sophisticated feeling.

Whether you're baking pies, wrapping presents, decorating your home, stringing popcorn garland, caroling with friends, or roasting marshmallows around a fire with friends ... take pictures and save them on these gorgeous holiday layouts.

Jingle Bells Scrapbook Instructions

I designed this with a 6x8 inch Simple Stories binder in red and the fantastic Bella Blvd, Merry Little Christmas Collection. I love Bella Blvd. Seriously, love love love. The little characters are so fun and quirky and always bring a smile to my face!

It has Santa Claus, ornaments, poinsettias, presents, a moose, Christmas trees, reindeer, woodland animals, candy canes, and more. So much more! You'll see ... 😉

This mini has 20 scrapbook pages that include 2 fold-out pages, 2 pockets, 5 flippies (like the ornament card above), journaling spots, and space for at least 60 photos. There's also room for memorabilia.

I love this card with Santa and his sleigh full of presents. I added lots of cute cards in the clear divided page protectors but there's also room for pictures.

Christmas Advent Calendar with Doodlebug

Hey guys! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project that uses the adorable Gingerbread Kisses Collection and Doodlebug's new house shaped advent calendar. All of the designers were asked to decorate one in a unique way and I had so much fun!! Over the next week, be sure to check out the other designs our team came up with on Doodlebug's blog.

This calendar is a great way to count down the days leading up to Christmas and perfect for saving all sorts of little surprises. The house is approx. 15" x16" and made of heavy weight white chipboard. There are 24 drawers that measure 2.25" x 2.25" x 2.25" each (product links below).

When I saw the triangular space on the front, I immediately thought the Gingerbread Kisses Shadow Box Insert Kit. If you don't know what these are ... you have to check them out. I love them! They're filled with the cutest stickers. This one has cookies, houses, baking utensils, Santa Claus, trees, cocoa, and candy canes.

I added the Candy Cottage Doodle-pops in the center. It's ah-dorable! I also mixed in some extra shape sprinkles, enamel dots, puffy stickers, and mini jewels. All of these add such good texture to the front.

For the drawers, I covered each one in a pretty plaid then used a 1 1/2" scallop circle punch, a 1 1/4" circle punch, gold foil paper, and white card stock to create the circular shapes. The gold foil dates are numbers from the Sunshine alpha stickers. 

These cute drawers can hold lots of little goodies. If you have children, you could surprise them with candy, small toys, stickers, temporary tattoos, trinkets, ornaments, cartoon band-aids, play jewelry, cars, hair clips, coins, or clues to a scavenger hunt.

If you have family members from teenage to adult ... you can add gourmet chocolate, small packets of tea, bath bombs, love notes, jewelry, a key ring, tealight candles, packets of seeds, tickets to a fun event, money, or collectible pins.

I trimmed out the front and the chimney with some chunky Doodle twine in ladybug. The red and white stripes remind me of candy canes! Love it.
