Birthday Pink Scrapbook Album / Banner with Doodlebug

Hey friends! Today, I'm sharing the first of TWO new kits that will be in my shop tomorrow. It's also my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project and this one is so fun! I made a cute mini album titled Let's Celebrate that also doubles as a hanging birthday banner! It's perfect for saving celebratory photos AND can be used as party decor year after year! 🎉

Here's what it looks like as a mini album. I will have a pink AND a blue version available in my shop on Friday. I designed this pink one with Doodlebug's adorable new Cupcakes & Candles Collection.

The 5.5" x 7.5" covers are made with a confetti acrylic and have 2 pink binding rings at the top. Inside, I added 12 scrapbook pages (6 double-sided) that include 4 flippies, 2 pockets, and lots of birthday images of cupcakes, balloons, flowers, presents, and more.

And here's what it looks like as a banner! How cute is this? 💕 I just removed the 2 binding rings and acrylic covers, threaded the ribbon through the holes at the top of each page, and hung it up! The pages are filled with fun cards, die cuts, and papers so it's super decorative. But don't worry ... there are still lots of hidden spots for photos and journaling!

To decorate the cover, I added some colorful pattern papers, the "Let's Celebrate You" card, and a few die cuts from the Odds & Ends. Then, I picked out a variety of ribbons for the book ring including Doodlebug's new Wired Pom Pom Trim in blue jean. Super cute!

Here's a close-up of the clear confetti acrylic. I absolutely LOVE it! It has pretty iridescent dots that look great with Doodlebug's bright happy colors. It's so fun and perfect for the birthday theme!

Inside, I covered the white cardstock pages with papers from the 6x8 pad. On the layout above, I created a flippie with white cardstock, then layered the Cupcakes & Candles print on top. This pattern is ahh-dorable! Next, I added a 3x4 card and some fun die cuts that extended off the page. I love how they look when the pages are stacked in the album and it's displayed as a banner.

Here, I created a pocket page and tucked some colorful cards inside that can be used as photo mats or for journaling. You can also use this space to save a special birthday card, an invitation, or tickets to an event. 

This scrapbook is perfect for ANY type of birthday celebration at ANY age! It's great for a party, a spa day, breakfast in bed, a special lunch or dinner, a visit to a winery, a day at the amusement park, or a quiet evening at home with cake! Be sure to take photos of the decorations, the amazing cake, gift opening, and all the fun activities.

I love the pink "Sweet Sprinkles" paper on this page. It looks so cute with all the colorful journaling cards tucked in the pocket. You can also use this space to store the ribbon used to hang the banner.
