Happy Autumn Memories Scrapbook Album

Today's album is all about fall and I'm looking forward to a change in the weather. It's time to leave this heat behind. Fall colors, pumpkin pie, and breezy evenings ... yes please!

Happy Autumn Memories Scrapbook Instructions

I created this mini with a 7.6"x6" chipboard album and the brand new Echo Park, I Love Fall Collection. It's designed by Lori Whitlock and has cute woodland animals, leaves, acorns, flowers, tractors, and pumpkins.

Inside, there are 12 pages that include 2 pockets, 7 flippies, 2 fold-outs, and space for 38 photos. I've added lots of autumn papers, cute cards, stickers, brads, and enamel dots. And with a new season, comes a new color scheme - cinnamon, mustard yellow, forest green, brown, and maroon. I love it.

I tried to be creative and maximize the space on each page. The fold-outs add extra room for pictures or journaling. On this page, I embellished the front of one with a cute racoon card and some pretty die cuts.

Flip it open and there are 2 photo mats - perfect for pictures of a fall festival, the pumpkin patch, fun with family and friends, the changing leaves, Thanksgiving, or a hike through nature.

With lots of new seasonal activities (and pics!) in our future, it's great to be prepared. This kit will not only get you excited about fall, but it's also a fun weekend or afternoon craft project and an amazing memory saver!

The pockets are handy for saving all those bits and pieces of memorabilia that you want to keep, like ... tickets to an event, pressed fall leaves, your favorite recipes, a postcard from your travels, or journaling cards.

I added a pretty scalloped border sticker to this folding page ... which by the way, holds 4-5 photos!

Friends Envelope Scrapbook Album with Doodlebug

Hello everyone! Today, I'm excited to share my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project. It's a pretty Friends Mini Album that's filled with gorgeous flowers and gold foil accents. I made it with the beautiful Hello Again Collection and some simple white envelopes. What a sweet place to save photos of you & your bestie!

I created this with five 6.5"x 5" envelopes and 2 green book rings from my stash. All of the envelopes stack with the pocket side facing up. In order to decorate the cover, I knew I'd lose the first pocket ... but with all those pretty flowers and the cute "Friends" title, it was worth it!

Here's a close-up of the cover ... it's my favorite part! The flowers, the gold foil shine, the teeny tiny enamel sprinkles, AND ... the butterfly Doodle-pops!! Oh good grief, it's silly how happy this makes me!

Inside, I covered each envelope with a pretty pattern paper. On this first page, I matched all the flower die cuts with the ones on the front cover, so you wouldn't see the back side of those that hung over the edge. Then I added photo mats, journaling cards, and more pretty embellishments to each page. 

Whether you have one or two close friendships that date back to your childhood or a larger group of girls that are fairly new ... everyone should have a place to save fun memories.

We share so many experiences with friends either at school, work, home, or traveling. And with our phones, we're all taking photos more than ever! So print and save them. One day, you'll be so glad you did.

Add memories of meeting for coffee, a workout session, shopping, playing pickle ball or golf, card games, charity work, church, walking in a 5K, meeting for drinks, a girls weekend away, a scrapbook session, or an afternoon at the spa ... so many good times!

Look how cute this album is sitting on my clear Acrylic Display Stand. If you make this scrapbook for someone else, be sure to give them a stand so your friend can display this thoughtful present!

Teacher Card & Magnets - August Blog Hop with Lori Whitlock

Hello my crafty friends! Today is Lori Whitlock's August Blog Hop and my blog is the first stop on the hop. But be sure to visit Lori's site too because she has a sale and more great products for you!

For my project today, I created a wonderful magnetic card with 4 school themed magnets that can be displayed on a whiteboard, file cabinet, or throughout the classroom. I made these with one of Lori's amazing cutting files called School Stickers (links below). This is such a cute gift idea for a teacher or a tutor! 

To make the card's base, I cut a 4.25" x 5.5" (A2 size) piece of white Bazzill card stock out and adhered Silhouette's Adhesive Magnet Paper on top to look like a chalkboard (product links below). 

Then, I used Lori's cutting file to create some fun individual magnets with colorful card stock. I added the Silhouette Magnet Paper on the back side of those too.

These can be stored on the magnetic card, or ... removed and used anywhere! The Happy Day sticker from Echo Park's Bee Happy Collection designed by Lori.

Inside, I added a strip of the magnet paper & another cute magnet in the shape of books. Add your own sentiment and signature and you're done! 

Now you have a handmade gift ready to go for teacher appreciation day, their birthday, or a holiday. Check that off your list! ✔

I Love School Scrapbook Album

Hey guys, it's Friday and that means I have a fabulous NEW kit in the shop! This one is all about school and it's the perfect keepsake to start the year off with. It's called I Love School and it's great for boys or girls with bright primary colors and lots of fun school themed icons. You can use this to save pictures from one awesome school year, or ... for many - elementary, middle, and high school!

I Love School Scrapbook Instructions

I created it with a red 6x8 inch Simple Stories binder and the colorful Echo Park, I Love School Collection. It's filled with great images of crayons, books, apples, calculators, school buses, clocks, a schoolhouse, glue, scissors, rainbows, backpacks, stars, and numbers.

The fun begins on the front cover with a chalkboard pocket for photos of the first day, friends, the teacher, or the classroom. You could even add a sweet, supportive note like the one you tucked in their backpack!

Inside, there are 26 pages that include 1 pocket, 12 folding pages, and lots of flippies and fun places to save notes and extra photos. With space for over 75 photos ... there's plenty of room for multiple years.

As you can see above, I started with Kindergarten for the first page but you can customize yours by choosing from the different labels that are included in the kit.  The first (double-sided) page has a photo mat and a pocket.

Then, each one after that is a folded page like the photo above. There are two sets of labels, K-12, and more general words.  You can use the tabbed sections for different grades. OR ... if the album is being used for one fun-filled school year, use the tabs to separate the different activities - their classroom, friends, sports, clubs, art & crafts, band, holidays, science fair, etc.

The pockets are ideal for memorabilia like ... report cards, awards, certificates of achievements, letters of recognition, a progress report, party invitation, a program from a school performance or graduation, your child's drawings, pictures of their artwork, ribbons, or a photocopy of their diploma.

There are so many photo mats for your pictures. Add memories of the first day of school, class parties, field trips, best friends, a play, recital, official school picture, sports, and their favorite teacher or tutor.

Look how cute this page is! The flippie with the encouraging saying, the pencils with the rainbow and frog toppers, and the tiny clipboard. I love it.

Don't forget to take a photo of the outside of their school, their locker, lunch time, recess, awards night, holiday events, and the last day of school. Whoa ... so many activities to document!
