Using 6x6 Paper on 12x12 Layouts with Doodlebug

Hey scrappers! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project. I made two colorful 12x12 scrapbook layouts with the beautiful Hello Again Collection. My focus was to use paper from the 6x6 paper pad in a creative way so that they'd coordinate and each have a unique design. Take a look ...

12x12 Hello Again Scrapbook Layouts by Artsy Albums

To start, I used the 12x12 Patchwork Plaid print as the base for both layouts. It has so many pretty colors and I love the geometric pattern. Perfect for the background.

For this page, I cut the 6x6 paper into squares (2 3/4"x 2 3/4") and then cut them in half diagonally. Then arranged the pieces into a heart shape. So cute ... it reminds me of a quilt!

For the second page, I created my favorite grid layout and used the 6x6 pattern paper for my nine 3 1/4 x 3 1/4" squares. I added 4 pictures of Rylee and embellished the others with die cuts, stickers, and sprinkles.

Since the theme of these layouts is somewhat generic, you could add almost any photo to them. Use them for pictures of family, friends, school, a new baby, a birthday, summer, home, a vacation, a party, spring, Easter, a baby shower, etc. The possibilities are endless!
