Family Fall Scrapbook Album Kit

Hello crafty friends! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project and ... since it was so much fun to create, I've made it into an album kit that's available in my shop! This cute mini scrapbook is titled Family Fall and it's perfect for your memories with loved ones. 🧡

I designed this with Doodlebug's Flea Market Collection (links below) and an 8x9 inch chipboard binder from The Paper Studio. The Family Title on the cover was made with a Miss Kate Cuttables cutting file that originally had flowers around it. But, I changed it up a bit to feel more like fall by adding some die cut pieces from the Odds & Ends instead.

Inside, there are 12 scrapbook pages that include 3 fold-outs, lots of fun flippies, 2 pocket pages, and space for at least 80 photos. I also added this pretty waterfall element that has room for 4 pictures. It really shows off all the cute colors and pattern papers!

Here's another folding card for 2 more pics. I added some die cuts to the front and a pretty leaf print inside.

I love a good pocket page and always add them to my albums. They're perfect for saving extra photos or journaling cards. You can also add memorabilia like tickets, invitations, postcards, notes, greeting cards, etc.

Engagement Mini Scrapbook Album

Good morning friends! After a weekend of moving our home and my studio to a temporary space, I think I finally have things organized enough to start creating again. At least until our new home is finished and we move all over again in a few months ... ugh!  Packing/unpacking -- so not fun.

Memory Matching Card Game with Doodlebug Design

Hey guys! It's time for my next Doodlebug Design Team Project. For this one, the designers were asked to create kid-friendly projects that you can do with your children or grandchildren. So, I made a fun memory matching card game with my scrapbook supplies.

Today's theme is cute puppy dogs and kitty cats. But, I've also made this game with other collections ... Valentine's Day, spring/Easter and St. Patrick's Day. These make such cute handmade gifts for the holidays.

 

Do you remember playing the game "Concentration" as a kid? It was one of my favorite card games so, I decided to make a memory card set and a cute storage box to hold the cards. For the box is a SVG cutting file called 3x4 Card Box that was designed by Lori Whitlock (link below).

For the cards, I cut 26 rectangles out of white card stock that are 3x4 inches. Then, I added the 2.75" x 3.75" aqua dot Puppy Love paper to the front of the cards so they all matched when they were turned over. 

I covered the back of the cards with different papers from the Puppy Love, Kitten Smitten, and Fun in the Sun Collections and then ... added lots of cute stickers and die cuts!

 

I made two of each design so that there are 13 matching pairs. Not only is this fun to make but you could use ANY paper collection for this project. Have your little ones help you with all of the stickers and then teach them how to play!

The game:

Lay all of the cards out on a table, face down in rows to create a large rectangle.

 

The first player turns over 2 cards to see if they match. If the two cards match, the player keeps the pair and takes another turn.  

If the cards do not match, the cards are turned back over in the same spot. Everyone should try to remember the pictures on the cards, and where they are located.

Now it's the next player's turn and he or she turns over two cards to see if they match. 

Play continues like this until all pairs have been picked up. The winner is the person with the most matching pairs.  

Have fun designing your own cards. With all of the wonderful Doodlebug stickers and die cuts ... the possibilities for this project are endless!!
