Happiness is Wine Scrapbook Album with Jodi

Hello friends! Today, I'm sharing another beautiful project designed by Jodi Berg and I've just added the simple instructions for it to my shop. I asked her to create a mini using one of my acrylic albums and the Carta Bella, Wine Collection. I thought it would be a fun and different scrapbook idea for photos of a wine tasting, a food and wine festival, a visit to the wine country, and more!

The paper collection features rich beautiful colors and a variety of images, so it can be used to highlight many different photos. It has grapes, wine bottles, hot air balloons, dinner tables, books, painting easels, flowers, and picnics. Ohhhh, I have some fun ideas for Jodi's cute scrapbook!

She also used my Acrylic Tall 4.5" x 6.5" Album in white. This is available in my shop and features two covers made of 1/8" thick acrylic, 3 silver binding rings, and 8 white cardstock pages that include 4 plain, 2 fold-out, and 2 pocket pages.

Check out the close up of this cute front cover! Jodi said ... “I knew the picnic blanket from one of the 4x4 cards was the perfect element for the cover. I fussy cut it, and the little floral bunches (which are from the 6x6 pad). I overlapped the flowers on the sides, popping every other one up with foam tape. It took a little time, but was totally worth it.” I agree Jodi! It's so pretty.

On this page, she placed a journaling card across the center and stitched the sides down, but adhesive could be used instead. Then, she tucked 2 die cut tags with organza ribbon behind the band. The back side of these can be used for photos or journaling.

How pretty is this page with the floral paper, the hot air balloon, and the sewing detail? She even mixed up the stitches on the top and bottom. She said, “I love stitching on my pages. I used my sewing machine with wine colored thread on several of the pages.” Love it, Jodi! 

Note: If you don't have a sewing machine, no worries! You can simply use adhesive and it will still look fabulous.  

Ok, ready for some photo ideas for this pretty wine inspired scrapbook? Here are some fun suggestions ...

• game night with wine inspired games such as wine trivia, wine-opoly, pictionary, or bingo
• a wine club
• a book club with wine
• a picnic in the park or the beach
• date night or dinner with friends 
• an evening of scrapbooking or crafting with friends and wine
• a hot air balloon ride with a bottle of wine
• a beautiful wine cellar 
• or use it to document a fabulous wine collection or the wines you've tried

 

Here Jodi created a really cute fold out page. On the front flap, she stitched down a polka dot print and chose three pretty little die cut tags from the Frames and Tags. She added some pink ribbon and the "Bring the Wine" card. When you open it ...

... you'll see this! Inside, she used the pattern paper called Wine Cellar and the pink polka dot titled Feeling Fine Floral. She said, “I used aged mahogany Distress Oxide ink around all the edges to give a cohesive look and it reminded me of wine stains. It matched the collection perfectly.”

Check out the adorable banner Jodi made for this layout! She used five flags from the Ephemera and backed them with the pink solid paper. Then, she punched holes in the corners and added some natural twine. What a cute way to embellish a page!

I just had to share the back side of this album. It's beautiful. I love the hot air balloon paper and the saying Jodi used from a 6x4 card. She said ... “There are so many cute elements on the journaling cards that I did fussy cut out several to add to the pages. You just need a good scissors.”
