February Blog Hop with Lori Whitlock Designs

Hi friends! Today is Lori Whitlock's February Blog Hop and my blog is the first stop on the hop. But be sure to visit Lori's site because she has a sale, a giveaway and an awesome freebie for you!

So, I have a really cute project to share with you and this one was right up my alley! I made a little birthday themed scrapbook using one of Lori's cutting files called Pocket Page Mini Album and I LOVE it!!

This mini is 4 1/4" x 4 1/2" and can be made with ANY paper collection in ANY theme. I made it with the fun Echo Park, Birthday Boy collection which is also designed by Lori. I used a pretty gingham print on the cover and added colorful stickers from the 12x12 elements sheet.

Inside the front cover, I added some cute little party animals (lol!) and a flag banner. On the next page, I included a fun little flip-up card (aka the flippie). I made it with a 3x4 journaling card and it's great for adding 2 small photos

Each page features 2 unique pockets. One small scalloped one on the front and another diagonal pocket towards the back. AND ... there are tabbed cards included in this cutting file that can be slipped into the pockets! Perfect for pictures and journaling!

To make this even more fun ... you can also use the pockets for gift cards, notes, and cash! Who wouldn't love that?! Your recipient will think they are just getting a cute card but it turns out that it has all kinds of goodies inside!

I added a bunch of die cuts to the pockets. You could write notes on the back side of them, give clues to a treasure hunt, or write a secret message to decode.

I hope you'll give this fun project a try! To see Lori's tutorial video on how to make this Pocket Page Mini Album click HERE.
