12x12 Fairy Wings Scrapbook Layout

Hello friends and happy National Tooth Fairy Day! While this day is actually celebrated twice a year (today and again on August 22), the idea of fairies being used to encourage children to take care of their health dates back to the mid-1920's. In 1927, a play was created where a fairy collected the lost teeth of little boys and girls and left a coin or two behind ... aaaaand voila! The tooth fairy was born!

This cute piece of history inspired me to create a pretty, 12x12, fairy-themed scrapbook page that can be used for tooth fairy photos or ... any beautiful picture!

I first found the Fairy Wings cutting file by Patty Young Designs so, I started there. You can find this file in the Silhouette Design Store (link below). I backed each section of the wings with 8 different rainbow colors from the Bella Blvd Besties Graph and Dot paper. Pretty, right?!

Then, once I had the wings done I created the layout using black card stock and some beautiful pattern papers from the Doodlebug Fairy Garden collection.

I picked out some cute die cuts from the Odds and Ends like the light bulb banner and the colorful flowers across the middle. Then I added some mini jewels to the center of the flowers for a little sparkle.

The cute, pink haired fairy is a Doodlebug Doodle-pops and she's appropriately named Pixie. She's adorable and I bet she's what every little child imagines the tooth fairy looking like. 💗

I added 2 photo mats for a sweet toothless grin, a Halloween costume, playing dress-up or for someone who just loves fairies!
