Christmas Advent Calendar with Doodlebug

Hey guys! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project that uses the adorable Gingerbread Kisses Collection and Doodlebug's new house shaped advent calendar. All of the designers were asked to decorate one in a unique way and I had so much fun!! Over the next week, be sure to check out the other designs our team came up with on Doodlebug's blog.

This calendar is a great way to count down the days leading up to Christmas and perfect for saving all sorts of little surprises. The house is approx. 15" x16" and made of heavy weight white chipboard. There are 24 drawers that measure 2.25" x 2.25" x 2.25" each (product links below).

When I saw the triangular space on the front, I immediately thought the Gingerbread Kisses Shadow Box Insert Kit. If you don't know what these are ... you have to check them out. I love them! They're filled with the cutest stickers. This one has cookies, houses, baking utensils, Santa Claus, trees, cocoa, and candy canes.

I added the Candy Cottage Doodle-pops in the center. It's ah-dorable! I also mixed in some extra shape sprinkles, enamel dots, puffy stickers, and mini jewels. All of these add such good texture to the front.

For the drawers, I covered each one in a pretty plaid then used a 1 1/2" scallop circle punch, a 1 1/4" circle punch, gold foil paper, and white card stock to create the circular shapes. The gold foil dates are numbers from the Sunshine alpha stickers.

These cute drawers can hold lots of little goodies. If you have children, you could surprise them with candy, small toys, stickers, temporary tattoos, trinkets, ornaments, cartoon band-aids, play jewelry, cars, hair clips, coins, or clues to a scavenger hunt.

If you have family members from teenage to adult ... you can add gourmet chocolate, small packets of tea, bath bombs, love notes, jewelry, a key ring, tealight candles, packets of seeds, tickets to a fun event, money, or collectible pins.

I trimmed out the front and the chimney with some chunky Doodle twine in ladybug. The red and white stripes remind me of candy canes! Love it.

NEW! Noel Christmas Scrapbook Album

Happy Friday everyone! Here's kit #2 for the week!! For all my friends out there that love a more traditional, Christmas theme with rich colors and timeless images ... I have a gorgeous NEW album for you! It's titled Noel and it's so, so lovely. It's in the shop, ready for you and your special holiday memories.

To purchase the instructions for this album visit:

Noel Scrapbook Instructions

I designed this with a 6x8 inch Simple Stories binder in the new cranberry color. It goes perfectly with the Simple Stories paper collection called Simple Vintage Tis The Season. I can't wait for you to see inside!

Here's a close-up of the cover. So pretty. There are classic and vintage holiday images of poinsettias, ornaments, reindeer, holly leaves, berries, candles, wreaths, Christmas trees, ice skates, cameras, envelopes, and so much more.

This may be a mini album but I'm going to stay it's a maxi because it has so many beautiful interactive pages for your photos and memorabilia!

There are 20 scrapbook pages that include 3 fold-out pages, 1 pocket page, and 14 (yep, fourteen!) interactive flippies like the wonderful Merry Christmas card above. Oh, I love the image on it with the reindeer, the envelope full of tickets, and the pretty holly berries.

You can use this album to document each day leading up to and including Christmas or ... just add your photos from the season any way you like.

Usually the season feels like it begins when you decorate your home and put up the Christmas tree. Whether you cut one down or build an artificial one ... take pictures of the process and your wonderful family traditions.

Check out these 3 small flippies. I love the words on them - Believe, Wonder, and Magic. I think these would be the perfect spot for 6 photos of the littles with Santa. Try to capture their sweet and excited expressions.

I love a good pocket page. This one is perfect for holding all of these wonderful Simple Stories cards - use them as photo mats for extra pictures or journal on them. The pocket is also great for storing memorabilia like a letter to Santa, tickets, or special Christmas cards.

This page has a big beautiful folding element. If you take professional family photos each year, this could be a great spot for them. There's room inside for 2 large pictures.

Save photos of a holiday show, a light festival, your snow covered home, baking Christmas cookies, a school or church event, decorating a gingerbread house, festive parties, family gatherings, caroling with friends, wrapped gifts, and Christmas day!

Do you travel at Christmas? Whether you like to go skiing, visit family, sight see in the big city, or have a quiet holiday vacation in a cabin in the mountains ... this classic Christmas album would make a fabulous keepsake for those memories.

Christmas is a time when you need lots of gift ideas, so ... my albums make wonderful handmade presents! Perfect for mom and dad, a sister, best friend, your children, or ... this makes an awesome hostess gift.

December is going to be a busy season. Time to check one thing off your list. Hop over to my shop and get my beautiful new Noel Christmas Album today!

NEW! Queen of Pink Scrapbook Album

Hello my friends, I have good news! This week, I'll be adding 2 NEW kits in the shop. Today I'm introducing the first one ... which is also a first for me! It's has a super fun doll and fashion theme and it's titled Queen of Pink. It's perfect for anyone who loves Barbie, pink, and all things girly!

Did you play with Barbies as a kid? How about your daughter, granddaughter, or niece? Are you a Barbie collector? Or, do you have a little one in your life that loves to play dress-up? If you answered yes, or ... just adore everything about Barbie - then you need this mini scrapbook!

I designed it with the pretty PhotoPlay, Fashion Dreams Collection designed by Becky Moore. It's filled with Barbie dolls, fashion, clothes, accessories, lip gloss, nail polish, diamonds, bows, hearts, a pink car, rollerblades, stars, and a super cute pink camper!

I created this with my clear Acrylic Scallop Edge Album made of high quality 1/8" thick clear acrylic and 3 bright pink binding rings.

Inside, there are 12 scrapbook pages that include 1 pocket, 2 fold-out pages, 5 flippies, and space for 30 photos. The "Live Your Dream" flippie on the page above will hold 2 photos or can be used for journaling. On the right, a folding page with ...

... space for 3 more pictures and fun embellishments. I would've totally wanted those cute blue shoes for my Barbie! 💙

Have you seen the new Barbie Movie with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling that came out this summer? This page has a great journaling spot where you could document your thoughts about it.

Ohhhh! This album would be perfect for a Barbie themed birthday! Add photos of the birthday girl, friends, the decorations, gifts, and if you went to the movie ... photos in the theater or next to the poster. Don't forget to save the invitation or movie ticket in the pocket above.

What about Halloween? Barbie is a great costume idea and this keepsake can document all the October fun. Fill it with photos of your costume, a party, a school event, a costume parade, trick-or-treating, or a Halloween event at a theme park!

And finally ... calling all Barbie collectors! This would be an amazing album to save photos of your vintage or new Barbie collectibles that include dolls, accessories, cars, houses, campers, posters, clothes, books, make-up, coloring books, etc! What a great way to document your prized possessions.

So, tomorrow's the big day!! This cute Queen of Pink mini album will be available along with a second newbie. Until then ... have a great day!

* The supplies and design are not represented in any way by Barbie. This album kit was designed in a similar theme so that your wonderful memories will coordinate with the album.

3D Pumpkin Decorations with Lori Whitlock

Happy Saturday! Today, I have a great project for the fall season that I shared over on Lori Whitlock's blog on Thursday. It's a beautiful group of 3D pumpkins that will add a fun shape and pattern to your home's decor. You can place them around the house, on a mantel, or cluster them together in a centerpiece for your dining table. Perfect for Thanksgiving!

I created them using one of Lori's amazing cutting files called 3D Pumpkin Solid Panels (link below) and the Echo Park, I Love Fall Collection that she also designed. I made three and adjusted the size of the file for the last one by 30%. It's a little smaller and so cute!

Each panel can can be removed so that you can place a small battery operated tea light inside. However, since I'm using them in a centerpiece with candles and vases, I left them out. With the cute papers and shape, they were perfect as is!

I used three 12x12 pattern papers called Plump Pumpkins, 3x4 Journaling Cards, and Crisp Fall Air. They're fabulous and look great with the solid card stock I chose in rust, orange, cream, brown, and green.

I hope these pretty pumpkins inspire your next autumn project. They make such a wonderful display. Lori's cutting files are simple and fun and ... there are so many great ones to choose from! Hop over to her shop today and have fun exploring. Happy crafting!

NEW! Fall Memories Scrapbook Album

Happy Friday my friends! It's that time again when I add a brand new kit to the shop. This week's album titled Fall Memories is so, so pretty! Just look at those beautiful colors. I love the teal blue mixed with gold, creams, oranges, and greens. It's perfect for your autumn photos of family, friends, a vacation, and Thanksgiving!

To purchase the instructions for this album visit:

Fall Memories Scrapbook Instructions

I designed this with a 6x8 inch Simple Stories binder and the wonderful Bella Blvd, One Fall Day Collection. I am a huge fan of Bella Blvd and this new line is filled with fun! There are pumpkins, fall leaves, trees, colorful flowers, fall food, butterflies, cute forest animals, and fun geometric patterns.

This first page has so many goodies! In the center, there's a large folding card that's perfect for 2 photos. On the front of that, a smaller flippie for 2 more pictures or journaling. Then, on top of that ... another "thankful" folding card covered in a gorgeous leaf print. I love that paper ... and the cute little squirrel!

This pocket page is great for saving extra photos, journaling cards, and memorabilia. You could add greeting cards, a brochure from a fun activity, hotel room keys or an itinerary from your travels, postcards, a small map, tickets from a concert, an invitation, a gift tag, or a program from a school or church event.

The picture above is the inside of a folding page. The cute die cut sign gives you all kinds of photo ideas to add here. Have you visited the pumpkin patch, tried to find your way through a fun corn maze, or attended an autumn carnival?

If you love bright fall colors, modern patterns, and playful designs ... then you're going to have so much fun making this mini. Bella Blvd's wonderfully quirky take on traditional fall icons is amazing. Take a look at the fun shapes of those trees. Love, love, love!

This album has 16 pages that include 2 fold-out pages, 2 pockets, 8 interactive flippies, and space for 70+ photos. Whoa!! That's a lot of memories! This cute mini is filled with so many fabulous die cuts, stickers, and title cards.

And speaking of cards ... check out these 2 cute flippies. I just love the small size of these little squares! And don't worry, my instructions will explain how to work the folding card through the clear page protector.

Fall is such a wonderful time for taking photos. The weather is beautiful and there are so many great outdoor activities to do like ... a fall festival, apple picking, a high school homecoming parade, football games, Thanksgiving, and all the colorful outdoor landscape changes.

My new Fall Memories Album is a beautiful place to save your fall memories! Or ... if you're spending the Thanksgiving holiday at someone else's home, buy this and make it as a handmade hostess gift. What a thoughtful and meaningful way to say thank you. 🧡
