Hot Air Balloon Mini Album with Doodlebug

Hi sweet friends! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project. It's an acrylic mini album shaped like a little hot air balloon! How cute is that?! I was inspired by Doodlebug's Hello Again Collection and it's hot air balloon cutting file. I thought it would make a great mini for photos of friends, family, a birthday, summer, a vacation, hot air balloon ride, spring, a new baby, or everyday moments.

I cut the covers out of white acrylic but you could easily use card stock or chipboard instead. I chose some pretty solid papers for the balloon and a Bazzill metallic gold for the details. Love, love, love the gold! 

The sticker on the balloon is from the This and That sheet. The saying was perfect but it had a bicycle on it, so ... I made a small mat to cover it and added the sun, clouds, and heart from the mini icon stickers. 

Inside, I created 6 white card stock pages and covered each one with a pretty 12x12 print. I punched out two circles (3" and 3.5") for some of the photo mats and used 6x6 pattern papers on a few of them.

Now for the really fun part ... the embellishing!! I added lots of die cuts and enamel shape sprinkles throughout. See if you can spot the sprinkles above - flowers, a butterfly, and gold leaves. So pretty!

This mini would make such a unique handmade gift. Make it for someone and let them add their own pictures, or ... fill it ahead of time with photos of your fun moments together. They would keep this forever.

I even added places to journal like this cute pink clipboard and yellow circle. These are great for listing names, dates, ages, locations, or events. Some day, you could forget those things, lol! 

I mixed up the mat shapes and sizes for interest but you can customize them for your own photos. When decorating the pages, I looked for pieces that fit into the negative spaces and in this photo ... the LOVE and the cute telephone did the trick!

Fall Pumpkin Crate Card with Lori Whitlock

Hello everyone! Today, I'm sharing a fall card that I made using one of Lori Whitlock's fabulous cutting files called Box Card Crate Pumpkins (SVG, Silhouette). It's perfect for the upcoming autumn season and, with a quick sentiment change ... it can be given for lots of different occasions.

I created this with Echo Park's I Love Fall Collection designed by Lori. The earthy colors were perfect with rust, orange, green, golden yellow, and brown. 

I embellished the card with some enamel dots and a few really cute stickers from the 12x12 sticker sheet. I just love the little mouse sniffing that big sunflower. So cute!

I used a bunch of beautiful prints from the 6x6 paper pad for all of the pieces except for the crate. I used the 12x12 Autumn Woods print for that. 

The card folds flat for sending in an envelope or for storing as a wonderful memento.

I designed this with Bella Blvd's amazing Lake Life Collection and a 6x8 inch navy blue Simple Stories binder. I love the cover with the cabin scene, the whimsical fish print, and the natural twine. The title is made with alpha stickers so if you purchase my kit and want to change it up, you can customize it to suit your adventure!
