Turkey Place Cards with Lori Whitlock

Hi friends! Today is Lori Whitlock's November Blog Hop and my blog is the first stop on the hop. But be sure to visit Lori's site because she has a sale, a giveaway and an awesome freebie for you!

For my project today, I created a few adorable 3D turkeys using one of Lori's amazing cutting files. I'm using them as place holders for my Thanksgiving table. My grandchildren are going to love these!

I used the print-n-cut feature in my Silhouette software to add names to the lower part of the turkey's gold paper (from Lori's Echo Park line called The First Noel). Then, I cut out the other pieces using paper from EP Christmas Magic and Halloween Magic. I used my favorite liquid adhesive, Nuvo to make sure the 3D boxes stayed closed and added some Doodlebug enamel dots for their eyes (product links below). Cute!

I intended for them to sit on the table with everyone's names, but they actually look pretty cute sitting on top of the napkin rings :)

I think these are great as place holders, but would also make cute home decor on a mantle, tiered stand, entryway console, or as a cute surprise in the guest bath or bedroom.  Instead of names, you could add "Welcome",  "Happy Thanksgiving", or "Give Thanks" to the front.  3D projects are fun and easy and a bit unexpected, so have fun with them!

Thanks for stopping by everyone!  Happy crafting!
