12x12 Me and You Scrapbook Layout

Hello friends! Mother's Day is tomorrow, so I thought I'd share this pretty 12x12 scrapbook page that's perfect for a photo of you and mom, or ... you and the kiddos! It has lots of flowers and a cute journaling card so you can document the details from the day. 

I made this with the Doodlebug Design, Hello Collection that has such beautiful colors. I love the deep navy blue with the bright pink, and the touches of metallic gold foil. It's hard to see in the photo but the "Me & You", the birdcage, the heart, and the dots in the flowers are gold and super shimmery!

For the base, I used a sheet of Bella Blvd's Graph and Dot in Blueberry and layered white cardstock on top. Then, I added the pink gingham Tickled Pink print and a photo mat made with the white and blue polka dot paper called Petite and Pretty. 

Time to decorate! I had so much fun with the embellishments. Flowers, yes! Birds, you got it! Butterflies, ummm yah! And scalloped stickers from the This & That sheet ... definitely!

This layout could be used for photos other than Mother's day, too! Add a picture of you and your best friend, sister, or your sweetie. 

The row of hearts along the bottom is so cute. It's a strip from the 12x12 paper called Poppy Plaid. The word bubble from the Chit Chat and the birdcage is a mini icon sticker. I love the little bit of shiny gold on it.
