12x12 Summer Bar-B-Cute Layout

Hello friends! Recently, I planned a summer trip with my family to Florida and all I can think about is enjoying the beach, grilling, and lounging by the pool. Relaxing and eating ... I love those two things! So, today I'm sharing a cute 12x12 layout that would be great for backyard fun, beach picnics, and summer memories.🌞

 

I started with a 12x12 Doodlebug Petite Prints dot and stripe in ladybug as the base and layered a sheet of white cardstock on top. Then, I used a cute polka dot washi tape from the Doodlebug, Puppy Love collection to make a grid with 9 equal squares. So easy! (Product links below.)

Next, I just decorated each square with cute papers and embellishments from the Doodlebug Bar-B-Cute collection. I started in the center by adding that little smiling hamburger Doodle-pops called Well Done. His cute soda friend is another Doodle-pops called ... what else, Soda Friends! 

For the other squares I mixed some 12x12 and 6x6 prints. The stripe is from the 6x6 and I think the smaller design suits this page perfectly. I used die cuts from the Chit Chat and the Odds & Ends and the "Fire Up The Grill" sticker is from the This & That.

I used a 2.5" scallop punch to cut out the circle shape in blue gingham and used it behind the "Sweet Summer" die cut. 🍓

 

I think this 12x12 page would perfect for eating watermelon in the sunshine, grilling burgers with friends, playing backyard games, a picnic at the beach, a neighborhood get-together or enjoying time with family. That's all sounds awesome and I can't wait ...
