House Shaped Family Scrapbook Album with Bella Blvd

Hey guys! Good news! Today, I'm sharing my latest Bella Blvd Design Team Project, AND ... I've added the instructions for it to my shop! It's a cute house shaped mini album titled Welcome that's perfect for photos of family, home, and everyday memories. It would also make a really fun gift idea!

House Shaped Family Scrapbook Instructions

I designed this with Bella's beautiful Love Grows Here Collection. It has such pretty papers and so many colorful embellishments. I used lots of cute die cuts but it's the Ciao Chip and puffy stickers that added dimension and shine to every page. (Links below.)

I also used my Acrylic Dog House Shaped Album. I've used this white acrylic mini album in my Puppy Dog Scrapbook and my You Make Me Happy Scrapbook and it makes such a fun and simple project.

On the cover, I chose the blue polka dot print and some adorable die cuts from the Ephemera Icons. I love the little pink door and flowering trees on either side. Along the top, I layered the striped chipboard scalloped sticker and the green puffy scalloped sticker. They look so cute together and remind me of awnings!

Inside, I created 10 white scrapbook pages that include 1 pocket, 2 fold-out pages, and space for 20 pictures. I covered each layout in 12x12 pattern papers, then decorated them.

On the page above, I used the yellow Let Love Grow paper in the background. I created a photo mat with white card stock and the colorful floral called Grow with the Flow. Then, I added the LOVE chipboard stickers from the Ciao Chip. They fit perfectly.

Next, a cute fold-out page! I added the playful striped paper titled Borders on the inside, and a 3x4 card from the Daily Details on the front flap. Along the edge, I adhered a pretty aqua scalloped ribbon from Mayarts. 

I love the modern design of the pink flowers on this Grow in Grace paper. It looks cute with the aqua dots on the photo mat, don't you think? The "memories" puffy stickers were a fun detail for a bit of shine and texture.

Here I created a pocket page, covering the front and back with the Meals & Memories paper. I added the "family" chipboard sticker and dotted the "i" with a cute heart shaped puffy sticker. The cards and tags are from the Daily Details and they're great for journaling or photos.

I'm thinking this sweet house shaped Welcome Scrapbook would make such a unique gift for a birthday, a hostess, or Christmas present. OH WAIT! ... You could give it to someone as a house warming present to "welcome" them into the neighborhood! Lol! So perfect.

And look how cute it looks sitting on my clear Acrylic Display Stand. Not only does it create a wonderful accent and conversation piece in your home, but it also shows off your fun family photos and awesome crafting skills.

New! Recipe Scrapbook Mini Album Kit

Hi crafters! It's time for a peek into this week's NEW recipe album kit that will be in my shop on Friday. It's been a long time since I had this theme in the shop, so I'm super excited about this one. It's titled The Secret Ingredient and it's the perfect addition to any kitchen. Not only is it a great place to save recipes, but there's also plenty of space for photos of your kitchen, good food, and fun memories with loved ones. 💕

I designed this with a 6x8 inch Doodlebug Design binder in ladybug red and the Echo Park, Mom's Kitchen Collection. It has bright colors, cooking and baking sayings, flowers, different foods, appliances, and all kinds of fun kitchen items!

And speaking of kitchen items ... look how cute! I found these adorable wooden spoons, whisks, and rolling pins at Hobby Lobby. With their red handles and white polka dots, they were the perfect finishing touch for my cover. Each kit will include one of these fun utensil charms.

Inside, there are so many goodies! The album has 16 scrapbook pages that include 1 fold-out page, 3 pockets, 10 flippies, and space for 50++ photos.  BUT ... that's not all!  It also has 22 clear plastic pocket pages for loads of recipes and extra pictures.

This fold-out page has LOTS of fun elements. First, the pink refrigerator card on the front flap is super cute, but it also flips up with space inside for 2 photos. Open the flap and there's another yellow folding card with space for 2 more pictures. And then on the inside of the flap, 2 MORE photo mats!! Yes girl ... this mini album page has space for SIX fabulous pictures!

Above is one of the three handy dandy pockets. I added some journaling cards to it but these are also great for saving notes, recipes, labels, shopping lists, meal planning, clippings, receipts, or extra photos. 

I spy another flippie on the page above. It's made with a cute "On the Menu Today" journaling card. You could add a favorite recipe to it, or ... dates, a location, people's names, or an event that goes with your photo.

This beautiful scrapbook / recipe album will be a forever keepsake filled with special recipes and sweet memories. Add photos of special family dinners, charcuterie boards, wine with friends, your wonderful kitchen, holiday meals, pretty desserts, brunch, baking with the littles or grandlittles, and any fun memory "gathered around the family table". 

Do you have some "delicious" family recipes that have been passed down through the generations? I do and I treasure them along with their wonderful memories. This album can be used as part recipe album / part scrapbook for documenting some of your family's wonderful stories. Include photos, who the recipe came from, when was it created, and why it holds a special meaning to you.

Cat Themed Handmade Greeting Cards

Hello everyone! Yesterday was World Card Making Day and to celebrate, I created 3 beautiful handmade cards for fall and Thanksgiving. Today, I'm sharing a few more that I made with the adorable Bella Blvd, Meow Collection. I designed them for different occasions - everyday, birthday, and friend. Take a look ...

Aren't these cute? They're also super simple and don't take long to make. So, if you're short on time ... this project is for you!  

This first card is a favorite style of mine and uses the PhotoPlay #9 Circle Windows Die Set. I’ve made many like this (see here, here, here, here, and here) and love the cut-outs with the cute stickers and die cuts peeking through the circles.

To make it, I used white card stock for the base and layered the colorful stripe, more white card stock, and the purple polka dot print on top. Then, I added some sweet kitty cats from the Ephemera Icons and the saying. 

For the birthday card, I used a few different collections. The cats, paw prints, and bird are die cuts from the Meow Collection. The gifts and that cute crown are die cuts from Bella's Birthday Bash. Then, I finished with some epoxy dots and a stamped sentiment made with Doodlebug's Pretty Kitty Doodle Stamps (links below).

For my 3rd card, I used the blue paw print paper on the front and added lots of sweet embellishments from the Meow collection. The flowers and the black kitty are from the Ephemera Icons, the Friend is from the Ephemera Words, and the white cat is a super cute Bella-pops called Curious Kitty. With the addition of a few colorful epoxy hearts, I was done and my 3 handmade cards were ready for sending!

Fall Thanksgiving Handmade Cards

Hi friends! Today is World Card Making Day ... time to celebrate the art of handmade cards, get creative, and prepare for the holiday season. I love creating things with colorful papers and fun embellishments, so when Doodlebug Design asked its team members to create a few cards, I was all in!

I created three and used the beautiful Farmhouse Collection. I chose white card stock as the base and decorated them with papers from the 6x6 pad. I love the smaller prints and those fresh autumn colors. 

 

To make the first one, I used the pretty Fall Floral pattern in the background and added diagonal stripes across the middle. Then, I embellished with die cuts from the Bits & Pieces, a sticker from the This & That, and those sweet little bees from the Puffy Icon Stickers. 

For the second card, I layered the pistachio print called Farmhouse and more white card stock. Then, I added vertical strips of pattern papers, enamel heart shape sprinkles at the bottom of each, and a sentinment from a 6x6 Country Quilt paper. But ... the real star of the show is the fabulous Doodle-pops called Turkey Time! He's so cute and colorful and adds lots of dimension to the card.  

My last card was made with colorful papers that I cut into smaller 1/2" pieces. I created a horizontal tiled look, leaving a bit of white space in between. The "thankful for you" is from the Chit Chat, the pumpkin piece is from the Bits & Pieces, and the little yellow flower is from the Cream of the Crop Shaker-pops. I added a few enamel shapes from the Fall Flurry sprinkles and finished it off with the scalloped This & That border sticker.

And there ya have it - 3 cards that are perfect for fall, Thanksgiving, and everyday. Surprise someone this season with a handmade card and let them know how thankful you are to have them in your life. 🧡

Halloween Car Shaped Scrapbook Album with Doodlebug

Hey friends, buckle up! My latest Doodlebug Design Team Project is coming your way. This week I created a wacky car shaped Halloween mini album with the adorable Monster Madness Collection and a spooktacular cutting file. It's titled Be Scary and it's a fa-boo-lous little scrapbook for your holiday photos! 

For the shape, I used the Odds & Ends die cuts as inspiration. I loved the pink car, so I chose the matching cut file called Monster Mash Pink Monster Car (link below). I sized it to 8x6 inches and cut two covers out of white acrylic - but you could use card stock. Then, I covered it in a pretty polka dot paper and fun embellies! 

The cutting file comes with monsters, but I chose to use some of the cute die cuts instead. I added star shaped sprinkles, two enamel dots, and those teeny tiny adorable spiders ... they're from two different Doodle-pops - Eek and On the Web (links below). Love them!

Inside, I created 12 white scrapbook pages that include 1 flippie, 1 pocket, and space for 12 pictures. I covered each layout in a 6x6 pattern papers, then added journaling spots, more die cuts, and photo mats.

On the page above, I created a flippie using the spider journaling card. It has space for a picture inside, and one on the rainbow striped mat underneath. Aren't the bright colors in this collection fang-tastic? 😉 

 

This mini is perfect for photos of a pumpkin patch, trick-or-treating, creative costumes, holiday parties, carving pumpkins, your spooky decorations (inside and out!), a fall festival, and lots of sweet candy.

It wouldn't be Halloween without a few ghosts, so I added this cute die cut with it's candelabra. And to light his way ... I added a few mini jewels!  

I love a good pocket in a mini album. They're great for saving extra photos, journaling cards, and memorabilia. Add party invitations, a favorite candy wrapper, or tickets to a frightful event. I tucked a few die cuts in the pocket as well. Since they're white on the back, you can also add notes to these fun shapes.

 

October has so many Halloween themed activities like haunted houses, autumn carnivals, contests, ghost tours, trunk-or-treat, or theme park events. Be sure to take pictures of the rides, the elaborate decorations, face painting, a corn maze, and all of the ghoulish treats.

Check out this 6x6 paper filled with colorful little monsters. I added the Family die cut and more sparkle with mini jewels. What a cute way to highlight your fun Halloween memories!

This purple blob cracks me up with his toothy grin, his happy lollipop, and his wagon full of goodies! To zhuzh up the wagon, I added an enamel dot to the cupcake and mini jewels to the tires.

Wouldn't this little scrapbook make a really cute gift idea? It's bright, whimsical, and filled with playful characters, pumpkins, ghosts, spiders, and lots of colorful candies.

NEW! Christmas 25 Scrapbook Album Kit

Hey crafty friends! It may be a wee bit early, but today is all about Christmas here at Artsy Albums. It's time to share this week's colorful NEW kit that will be in the shop on Friday and this mini album is just too fun to delay. It's titled Christmas 25 and it will definitely have you looking forward to the holiday!

I designed this with a 6x8 inch Doodlebug Design binder in mint and the amazing Simple Stories, Hard Candy Christmas Collection. Ohhhh, I couldn't wait to create this scrapbook. The colors, the whimsical prints, and all the festive images ... it's all so pretty!

I am loving the ornaments on the cover! And just below them is a cute little shelf with houses and a tree, a snowman cupcake, candy colored stripes, and a big beautiful pink bow.

Inside, there are 20 scrapbook pages filled with fun! They include 3 fold-out pages, 2 pockets, 3 flippies, and space for 50++ photos on the layouts and in the clear page protectors. 

Above is one of the folding pages. It has cute journaling spots on the front and underneath, a 4x6 card that opens with space for 2 photos. The card is a little hard to see in the picture but it's filled with sweet treats, gingerbread, candies, hot cocoa, and bubblegum. 

How cute is the addition of pink in this Christmas collection? It's modern, playful, and I absolutely LOVE it! 

Check out this side pocket. On the front, I added a photo mat, Santa Claus carrying presents, and a small journaling card for the date, names, a location, or an event. I tucked a white mat inside and added the "sweet" circle stickers along the edge for a fun detail.

Pocket #2 is filled with more fun cards that can be used as photo mats or for journaling. You can also save memorabilia here like ... tickets to a holiday show, a family recipe, a letter to (or from) Santa, a room key from your holiday travels, a program from a church event, the tag from a gift, or special Christmas cards.
