NEW! July 4th 12x12 Scrapbook Layouts

Happy Friday my friends! Today, I have 3 NEW items in the shop and I think I have everyone covered for the 4th of July holiday. For those of you that love mini albums, I've added my God Bless America Scrapbook AND my Acrylic Display Stand for albums. The third item is for everyone who prefers 12x12 layouts. These were made with the adorable Doodlebug Design, Hometown USA Collection. They're filled with fireworks, hot air balloons, kids, wagons, balloons, cute storefronts, and a sweet small town feeling. 

I created some fun elements on these pages that include 4 flippies, 1 pocket with journaling cards, and space for at least 35 photos.

I love the little storefront die cuts on this page. There's a bakery, town hall, and flower shop, all designed with the tiniest details! Check out the inside of the bakery's window, the holiday banners, and all the flower planters with flags. Just adorable!

This collection has touches of silver foil, so all of the pages have a bit of shimmer. Above, the fireworks and the little stars catch the light beautifully. Perfect for July 4th!

There are plenty of spots to document fun stories, names, events, locations, and dates.

And ... a little pocket filled with cute cards. My instructions will include the directions on what to do to access the pocket once it's in a clear page protector. It's simple and easy to do with a craft knife.

4th of July - God Bless America Scrapbook Album

Hello friends! It's time for my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project, and ... this week's new kit! Since my Happy July 4th Album sold out so quickly, I made a new, slightly smaller version using a red acrylic mini and the fabulous Hometown USA Collection. It's titled God Bless America and it's packed with lots of bells and whistles!

I designed this with my new custom 6x6 inch red Acrylic Peek-a-boo Stars Album. It was inspired by my Easter album that had circle cut-outs. I love how the colorful papers and embellishments peek through!

And speaking of embellishments, check out the adorable July 4th Shaker-pops above. How cute are those tiny hearts and stars inside? It also has metallic silver accents that shimmer as you turn the page. Love that.

And for even more cuteness, I accessorized with the Doodlebug July 4th charm for a little extra fun! 

Inside, there are 16 pages that include 3 pockets, 2 fold-out pages, 9 flippies, and space for 38 fun-filled photos! Above is one of those cute flippies. I just love the Statue of Liberty with her cute round face and smile that is perfectly Doodlebug!

The July 4th holiday is such a big weekend of celebrations with BBQ, cookouts, neighborhood parties, family gatherings, outdoor games, and backyard fun. This mini is the perfect spot to save those memories.

What about a holiday festival, farmers market, art show, or carnival? If you get tickets or other memorabilia from those events ... be sure to save them in this pocket with the cute journaling cards. 

Oh, how I love a 4th of July parade. They bring back such fond memories for me and my childhood summers in Southport, NC. If you'd like to write about your special moments so you always remember them, I've added journaling spots throughout the album like the one above with a patriotic pilot and his nifty red airplane.

Here's another great page for photos of all the F's ... family, friends, food trucks, and fireworks!! Lol! It has 2 flippies - one that lifts up and one that folds down with a cute pick-up truck inside and space for 3 photos. 

Doodlebug is upping their game ... look how detailed this storefront die cut is! The tiny flowers and flags are amazing and it has pretty touches of silver foil accents. Also notice the colorful tag border detail I added along the side of this folding page. It's all so cute!

NEW! Acrylic Display Stand for Mini Albums

Hey guys! Today, I'm sharing a brand NEW product! I created a fabulous acrylic scrapbook album stand that will be available in my shop this Friday. If you're like me and enjoy displaying your albums, I'm sure you know that some shaped or acrylic mini albums don't stand up very easily on their own. So, I designed a clear stand that will hold them upright for all to see! 

Each display stand is made of sturdy 1/4" thick acrylic and can hold albums of different shapes and sizes.

My Hot Air Balloon Mini Album isn't able to stand on it's own, but with my new custom made Artsy Albums stand ... it displays beautifully!

The clear acrylic supports your albums without taking any of the attention away from their pretty covers. The albums are center stage!

Here is one of my 6x8 inch binder albums.

And here is a 12x12 inch binder. I would note however, that it depends on the weight and thickness of the album and may not be suitable for all larger sized scrapbooks.

It measures approximately 6" high x 5" wide x 4" deep standing upright.

The stand consists of two acrylic pieces that simply slide together. 

They can be shipped alone or added to any order.

It will arrive with a brown paper masking on it. This helps protect the acrylic during cutting & shipping. Here's a tip for removing it easily ... use duck tape or gorilla tape on the corner of the masking and simply peel back.

Flower Shaped Mini Album - June Blog Hop with Lori Whitlock

Hi everyone! Today is Lori Whitlock's June Blog Hop and my blog is the first stop on the hop. But be sure to visit Lori's site too because she has a sale and more great products for you!

For my project today, I made a pretty little flower shaped scrapbook using one of Lori's cutting files called Hidden Binding Mini Album Flower (link below). In April, I made the telephone version and loved it, so ... I couldn't wait to make the flower one next. I've also made the suitcase, rectangle, house, apple, and the tag shape and they're all so much fun!

The file makes 5 double sided flower shaped pages including the front and back cover. I chose to decorate the front with some embellishments I had on hand, but ... the file comes with a circle and flower cluster. So, you really don't need any extras to make this album super cute.

Here's how I made it ... I started by cutting out the 5 base pages in white Bazzill card stock, then layered patterned papers on top of each. I chose a bunch of garden themed prints and embellishments from the Doodlebug Design, Bunny Hop Collection.

To create photo mats on each page, I used a combination of circle and scalloped die cut pieces with some pattern papers that I punched out with 3" and 2.5" punches.

All of Lori's Hidden Binding Albums use a technique to secure the pages that allows enough space in between for pop dots and embellishments. On the page above, I added a 3D shovel sticker and the pages still lay perfectly flat when closed.

This mini album would be perfect for some of your favorite photos, or ... make it as a pretty gift for mom, daughter, friend, grandparent, babysitter, or teacher.

And, look how cute it looks displayed on my clear Acrylic Display Stand. It gives this mini a bit more presence! These are available in my shop and they're perfect for showing off your mini albums and cards.

Blooming Wild Purse Shaped Scrapbook Album Kit

Happy Friday! I'm so excited to share this week's pretty NEW mini album kit titled Blooming Wild. It's shaped like a purse with a scalloped handle and a cute little pocket on the front. Just like a real handbag! I decorated it with a wonderfully generic theme, so it can be used for any of your favorite photos from everyday, family, and friends to special occasions and holidays.

I used the new Blooming Wild Collection designed by Paige Taylor Evans for American Crafts and it's stunning! It's filled with pretty colors, flowers, butterflies, birds, hearts, and geometric prints. The purse shaped white acrylic album is a new design I created and it's approx. 6.5" x 7.25" (including the handle) with the inside pages being 6.5" x 4.5".

The front pocket detail mimics a real purse with a button on the outside and a magnetic flap closure. Inside the pocket, I've added a few cards that you could use for journaling or as photo mats.

The album has 16 pages that include 2 fold-out pages, 5 pockets (every purse needs lots of pockets!), 4 fun little flippies, and space for 35 pictures. 

Here's one of the fold-out pages. On the top is a patchwork-like paper with a pretty "Love" die cut and just underneath, a frame with holographic dots and a sweet little butterfly.

I'm absolutely loving the contrast of this cobalt blue with the lighter colors! Isn't it gorgeous paired with those die cut pieces?

This page has 2 pockets with fun shaped tags tucked inside. These are perfect for adding notes, dates, names, events, and locations.

I can just imagine these pages being filled with photos of your loved ones, but it could also be used for a special celebration like ... a birthday, graduation, Mother's Day, a bridal shower, a wedding, a baby shower, new baby photos, or an anniversary!

This mini has so many fun tags, journaling cards, photo mats, and die cut pieces. You can see them popping out the top of the album from other pages. So fun!

This might be one of my favorite pages ... the colors with the aqua blue, the butterfly, and those beautiful watercolor flowers. Ahhh-mazing!

Look how cute it is displayed on my clear Acrylic Display Stand. These are available in my shop and they're perfect for showing off your mini albums. After spending time making these little works of art ... you should display them!
