For my project, I made a beautiful 12x12 summer scrapbook page using one of Lori's amazing cutting files. It's super fun to create and perfect for photos of family, friends, backyard fun, home, gardening, and happy everyday memories!

I started with black cardstock as the base, then ... using Lori's Geometric Lace SVG File (also called Honeycomb Background Lace), I cut the honeycomb pattern out of white card stock and sized it to 11x11 inches. Then, I trimmed it into 2 pieces and positioned them on the page.

I chose the Doodlebug Design, Bee Happy Collection for it's bee theme and it was perfect with the lace pattern. To back each honeycomb or hexagon shape, I cut circles out of 12x12 and 6x8 papers using a 1.25" punch. Then, adhered each one to the back.

Next, I cut out 2 photo mats (4.75" x 3.75") and added them in between the lace pieces. Then it was time to embellish! I used the sun, cloud, and "family fun" die cuts and some sunny yellow enamel dots.

I love how the white honeycomb piece highlights all the pretty colors and patterns. Below, I added a cute beehive and branch die cut with some blue enamel flower sprinkles on top.
