Lake Life Tag Shaped Mini Album - August Blog Hop with Lori Whitlock

Hello friends! Today is Lori Whitlock's August Blog Hop and my blog is the first stop on the hop. But be sure to visit Lori's site too because she has a sale and more great products for you!

For my project today, I made a tag shaped mini album titled Lake Life. It's super cute and perfect for pictures of a weekend at the water, a cabin rental, fishing, kids at summer camp, canoeing, hiking, boating, swimming, and fun with family and friends.

I used one of Lori's fabulous cutting files called Hidden Binding Mini Album Tag, then I decorated it with the colorful Bella Blvd, Lake Life Collection (links below).

To start, I cut the album's base (10 tag shaped scrapbook pages / 5 double-sided) out of white cardstock. Then I added pattern paper, photo mats, and embellishments to the front and back of each one. They are quite layered so the pages are extra thick and sturdy. 

The hidden binding is designed to allow enough space in between the pages so you can add lots of pattern papers, pop-dots, photos, and embellishments. It makes the album nice and chunky.

Then, I added a colorful ribbon to the top of each page and ... my cute little tag shaped scrapbook was done!

This would make such a wonderful gift idea for someone that owns a cabin at the lake or enjoys vacationing at one. Or ... what about a cute welcome home gift for a child just getting back from summer camp?

And, look how cute it looks displayed on my clear Acrylic Display Stand. It gives this mini a bit more presence! These are available in my shop and they're perfect for showing off your mini albums and cards.

Jungle Zoo Scrapbook Album with Doodlebug

Hi guys! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project. All of the designers were asked to use the adorable At The Zoo Collection and since I haven't made anything with this theme in a while, I was thrilled! I love this line with its bright happy colors, fun patterns, and the cutest little animals!

I created a fun mini album that can be used for all kinds of photos from a day at the zoo, Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park, a safari, a birthday party, petting zoo, new baby, baby shower, or a school field trip.

Isn't it cute?! I used my 5x7 inch clear Acrylic Tabbed Album and displayed it on my Acrylic Display Stand in the photo above. These stands are great for showing off your shaped and acrylic mini albums!

On the cover, I added the zebra print called Zoo Animals, a scallop circle sticker from the This & That, and lots of cute die cuts from the Odds & Ends. The panda might be my favorite!

On each of the tabs, I added lots of word stickers from the This & That. Then inside, I strategically layered photo mats and embellishments to match on both sides of the clear acrylic pages. That way, you never see the adhesive.

On this first page, I wanted to add a little punch of red so I made the photo mat out of the petite print wood grain in ladybug. Then, I embellished with a cute blue seal from the Odds & Ends, another word sticker from the This & That, and a shiny enamel shape sprinkle called Jungle Leaves. Oh, how I ❤️ sprinkles.

I also love mixing patterns from the 12x12 and 6x6 paper pad. The page above is a great example. The small journaling card and the tiny Zippity-Zoo Dots are from the 6x6 prints. On the page behind it, I added the larger 12x12 dot paper. And ... the cute toucan bird die cut just matches it all perfectly!

This collection is so fun to play with and it's filled with sweet faced little animals. Just look at the Zoo Friends print in the photo above and you'll get a quick glimpse at the whole adorable crew!

Who loves a good zebra print besides me? The bold black and white pattern is awesome and it looks great with a touch of pink and green. So, I added the fun little flamingo and a few more enamel leaves.

NEW! Sunshine On My Mind Summer Scrapbook Album

Sunshine On My Mind Scrapbook Instructions

I designed this with my Acrylic Mini Album 5" x 4.5" in white and the beautiful Graphic 45 Sunshine On My Mind Collection (links below). It has images of watermelon, bicycles, flowers, strawberries, hot air balloons, and a fresh red, pink, and green color scheme. It's quite different and something totally new!

On the cover, I added a cute gingham print, some pretty die cuts, a journaling card, and a touch of sparkle with a few green glitter drops! 

Inside, there are 16 scrapbook pages that include 3 pockets, 2 fold-out pages, 1 teeny tiny flippie, and space for 25 fabulous photos.

This album is great for photos of a backyard BBQ, watermelon snacks, neighborhood get-togethers, fun in the pool, fruity popsicles, lemonade stands, bicycle rides, and picnics in the park. Ahhhh, I love summer.

Check out the cute little pocket on the page above. I've added a few cards for extra photos or journaling. I embellished one of them with a pretty flower die cut and another glitter dot.

You could also add memorabilia to these handy dandy pockets. Save a traditional family summer recipe, tickets to a water park or a concert, postcards, a meaningful greeting card, or a seed packet from your favorite flowers or herbs.

I love a good folding page with extra space. Above, I added a "sweet" lined card to the front, and inside ... the cutest little flippie, more photo space, and a big beautiful watermelon hot air balloon.   

These pages would also work for pictures of a summer themed bridal shower, engagement party, birthday celebration, a cute baby shower, and of course those special everyday moments with friends and family.

Not everyone spends the summer on a beach or a tropical island so, I thought this watermelon themed scrapbook was a different take on a fun summer mini album. I hope you all like it. The kit and premade will be available in my shop this Friday. Have a great day and ... see you then!

Travel The World With Me Scrapbook Album

Happy Thursday, my friends! Today, I'm giving you a sneak peek at this week's NEW mini album that'll be in the shop tomorrow (Friday). It's titled Travel the World With Me and it's a fabulous little 6.5 x 6.5 inch scrapbook for any and ALL types of vacations. I just read that 45% of Americans travel during the summer months, so ... I think today's mini is quite appropriate!

I designed this with a square chipboard album by Prima and the Echo Park, Let's Take The Trip Collection. There are airplanes, globes, maps, suitcases, cars, travel stamps, and wonderful geometric patterns. 

Did you notice my clear Acrylic Display Stand in the photo above? It practically disappears, allowing your fabulous album get all the attention! These are available in my shop and perfect for showing off your minis.

Inside, there are 12 scrapbook pages that include 3 fold-out pages, 3 pockets, 7 flippies, space for at least 30 photos, and plenty of room to journal about your trip.

I love the saying on the card above ... "Let's make memories all over the world." Yes, I'm ready to go! And this album would be perfect as a traveling journal to document all the fun. It's small size makes it easy to carry along with you.

I'm really enjoying the colors of this collection. They're soft and a bit earthy with shades of sage green, mustard yellow, powder pink, and brick red. Interesting combo and I really like it!

Check out the cute paper above with all of the travel supplies. I love the little black sneakers ... they look like classic Converse. My favorite!

In the photos above and below, you can see 2 of the 3 pockets I've added. They give you plenty of space to save special mementos you gather along the way like postcards, tickets, an itinerary, small maps, hotel stationary, a matchbook, travel stickers, brochures, business cards, or foreign currency.

If you don't collect memorabilia, no worries! Use these pockets for extra photos or journaling. You can document notes, your thoughts, or interesting facts about your travels. I've added lots of cards so you can write about each day, or ... simply list the locations, dates, people, sights, and adventures.

My Travel The World With Me Scrapbook Album is small but mighty! I made sure to pack it with interesting ways to save photos and memories so that you'll always have fun looking back through this.
