Me and You Scrapbook Layout

Hello friends and Happy Mother's Day tomorrow! I thought I'd hop on the blog and quickly share a 12x12 layout that would be great for your photos from the day but really ... you could use this layout for pictures from any occasion!

You could add a favorite photo of you and your little (or grand little!), you and your mom, you and your best friend or you and your sweetheart. I also added a great spot to journal about the occasion or include the date!

I designed this with the sweet, yet sophisticated Doodlebug Hello Collection. I love the deep blue, the bright pink and the touches of metallic gold - like the "Me & You" letters from the Chit Chat.

For the base I used a 12x12 piece of Bella Blvd's Graph and Dot in Blueberry. The gingham paper is called Tickled Pink (sold here) and the adorable blue polka dot is called Petite & Pretty (sold here). I had so much fun with the embellishments from the Chit Chat. Flowers, yes! Birds, you got it! Butterflies, ummm yah! And scalloped stickers from the This and That ... definitely!!

I love the row of hearts along the bottom. That's a strip from the 12x12 paper called Poppy Plaid (sold here). I added the word bubble from the Chit Chat and the birdcage is a mini icon sticker (sold here). I love the little bit of gold foil on this!

I designed these with the Echo Park, A Slice of Summer Collection and it has the cutest papers filled with stars, lemons, flowers, strawberries, plaids, ice cream, and more.

On this page, I created a cute pocket with cards that can be used for journaling or ... as photo mats. That would allow you to add 7 pictures to this layout! I love the easy relaxed summer feeling this collection has with the cute campers, the red & white gingham, the sunshine, and butterflies. 

Oh my gosh, this lemon page is my favorite. Wouldn't it be cute filled with pictures of the littles wearing a lemon swimsuit or a sweet dress with fruit on it? 

Or ... what about pictures of the kiddos selling ice cold drinks at a lemonade stand? Or a nice day at the pool? Yes please!

With 6 pages in this kit there's plenty of room for photos from a picnic in the park, a day at the beach, or an outdoor party. They make a great addition to any album and they hold 24 pictures.

Add photos of a neighborhood get-together, the kids playing games, water balloons fights, cook-outs or a backyard volleyball game. I'm really looking forward to summer and I hope these pages make you feel the same way.

Handmade Mother's Day Cards

Hi everyone! Mother's Day is coming. I can't believe how quickly time flies. It feels like we just started the new year! But I always love spending the day with my family and being pampered a bit! Today, I have two new cards to share with you. The first one would be perfect for mom and the second one is more generic and could be given to anyone! Take a look ...

For both cards, I used the pretty Doodlebug Hello Collection. For the Mom card, I started with a sheet of Bazzill card stock in Peacock and layered the yellow floral print called Petite & Pretty on top. I added a flower bouquet from the Odds and Ends and the gold "Love You Bunches" from the Chit Chat. The gold Mom is made from Doodlebug's Abigail alphabet stickers. (Product links below.)

 

For my cheerful little Hello card, I started with Doodlebug's Petite Print Linen in Bubblegum and added the colorful "Poppy Plaid" and green "Lovely" paper (links below). The adorable birdcage & gold flower are from the Odds and Ends and the gold metallic hello is from the Chit Chat.  

 

These cards were simple to create and make a thoughtful handmade card for someone special. I hope you'll give them a try!
