Hello friends! I'm back from She Loves Color and oh my goodness ... what a great event! I had so much fun teaching a class and seeing so many of you there in Wisconsin. I hope everyone had a wonderful time and came home feeling extra creative.
Today, I have another fabulous project to share with you designed by Jodi Berg! It's titled Game On and it's the ultimate scrapbook for people who love to play games. It's sooooo fun and I've just added the simple, step-by-step instructions for this mini album to my shop. 🎲♟🎱
This unique scrapbook is perfect for game night at home with the family, playing cards or mahjong with friends, bingo, chess, pool, a casino or a trip to Las Vegas, a board game café, a kid's themed birthday party, arcades and barcades, or outdoor fun with giant Jenga, Connect 4, checkers, or cornhole!
Jodi designed this with the Simple Stories, Game Night Collection that can be used for all types of gaming. It features dice, cards, tokens, chess pieces, pool balls, domino tiles, spinners, poker chips, game boards, bright colorful patterns, and so much more!
For the album, she used my Acrylic Clear 6x6 Square Album that includes two covers made of 1/8" thick clear acrylic, 2 binding rings, and white card stock pages.
To decorate the acrylic cover, Jodi added the "Game On" title, some cards, and a set of dice. She said ... “I love the clear acrylic albums because they give you a chance to do a layered cover for your album. Here, I used the big bold letters and other die cuts from the Page Pieces."
On the first page just inside the cover, she created her own design using different coordinating papers. Jodi said, "I cut the patterns into diagonal strips and sewed a zig zag stitch in between. Then for a fun touch, I glued white pom pom trim to the edge of the page.” ... Love it!
How fun is this page?! Jodi said, “I fussy cut the winding game board and tucked the top of it behind the photo mat. I love how it draws your eye right in with all the fun colors.” This is awesome Jodi, and the enamel glitter dots on the game pieces are such a cute detail!
This page is so creative! Jodi cut a colorful striped border with a scallop edge and sewed it along the top of the page with a zig zag stitch. Then, she made a shaped pocket for the tags. She said, "I fussy cut the game board pieces and deck of cards from a piece of the patterned paper, then sewed it to the layout.”
Right next to that is another fold-out page where Jodi repeated the striped scalloped border and zig zag stitch along the edge of the flap. Then, she added more fun with colorful dominoes, journaling cards, and cute jacks with enamel glitter dots!
Jodi's new Game On Album looks great sitting out on my clear Acrylic Display Stand. It would look so cute in a playroom, game room, kid's room, or living room where all the fun takes place!
The simple, step-by-step instructions for this scrapbook and the Acrylic Clear 6x6 Square Album are now available in my shop. Product links below.
Thank you so much, Jodi for creating this fun new project. You're so creative! 😊
