Sweet Country Girl Layout with Doodlebug Designs

Hello my friends! Today, I'm sharing my latest Doodlebug Design Team Project. This week the team was asked to create something with the super cute "Down on the Farm" collection. I instantly thought of these sweet pictures of Rylee with her favorite stuffed pig, Pua. So ... time for a fun new layout!

 

I wanted to keep the colors simple so my "sweet country girl" would be the focus. I started with the petite print gingham in kraft for the base and layered white card stock, petite print linen in pistachio and the cute chicken wire print called Chicken Coup. 

To highlight the touches of pink and green in Rylee's shirt, I looked for lots of cute items in the bubblegum and pistachio colors. The little pigs were perfect. How cute is this one from the Odds and Ends?!  And of course, nothing is quite right without a few enamel glitter dots!

 

I chose the "sweet country girl" die cut from the Chit Chat pieces. And to add a little more pistachio color to my layout, I cut the small square bandana shape (from the Hog Heaven paper) in half diagonally & slipped it behind the linen mat and photo.

Along the bottom, I used the pink bandana strip from the 12x12 Down on the Farm print and for more color (and fun!!) ... I added those pretty enamel flowers. Love! The fence was from the Odds and Ends and to get just the right size, I chose a smaller pig from the mini icon sheet. Perfect!
