First, let's look at the Life is a Journey Layouts ...

To purchase the instructions for these visit:

These 6 pages feature travel icons that include stamps, airplanes, tickets, luggage, globes, location pins, compasses, passports, and more. The colors are earthy shades of blue, green, rust, and brown.

These layouts will be a fun reminder of a weekend getaway, a family vacation, a road trip, a cruise, or traveling abroad.

Back To School Calendar with Doodlebug

Hi friends! Today, I'm sharing a fun project that will help you stay organized during the school year. When my boys were younger, part of the challenge was keeping track of everything ... homework, field trips, baseball games, programs, fundraisers, tests, etc. So, we always had a school calendar in the kitchen as a reminder. That calendar was functional, but not very cute. But with Doodlebug, we can have function and cuteness!

Back To School Scrapbook Calendar with Doodlebug

I used Doodlebug's wonderful Back To School collection. And on the cover, I added the year with some Chippers chipboard alphabet stickers in limeade.

I started my calendar with August, because here in GA, school starts early.  But you could start yours with any month. The top portion can hold first day photos, favorite new outfit pictures, or even shots of the kids with their new teacher.

For the calendar portion, I kept it simple with a few stickers and Doodle-Pops.  I just love the Skinny Alpha stickers ... there are so many on a sheet it was easy to spell out all of my months in different colors.   And here's another tip, Doodlebug has wonderful Teensy Type stickers that would be perfect for adding the dates 1-31 to each calendar!

The washi tape that is part of this collection is so cute!  It was perfect for running along the bottom of each calendar for extra color and a fun accent.

Once the calendar has been used for the year, take out your binding and put each 12"x12" layout in a scrapbook!  Instant school album!!  I love when projects serve double-duty!

Kaisercraft Blue Bay Mini Album for Mother's Day

Mother's Day 2015 is May 10th ...are you ready?  You can be with a wonderful gift of memories she will cherish for years to come!  Don't need a Mother's Day gift?  That's okay .. this beautiful album turns into a fabulous all-occasion keepsake with just one simple change :)

This album (created with beautiful papers from Kaisercraft Blue Bay) is available as a DIY kit or pre-made and will make a wonderful gift for mom! It will be ready for shipping the week of April 27th so visit our shop.

Gorgeous paper and embellishments, tags, fold out pages, pockets -- these are just a few of the things that adorn the 12 pages of this beautiful album. The album is covered with fabulous paper and embellishments by Kaisercraft. The pages include two pockets, a fold-out page and more so that at least 20 photos can be added throughout the book. I always create my albums so that photos can easily tuck under embellishments, and I always use only acid-free, photo-safe supplies. The title on the cover says "So Many of My Smiles Begin With You" and other pages say "Home Is Wherever I'm With You", "You Are Beautiful Inside & Out" and "Treasure Everyday".

This album would make a wonderful gift for Mom for any occasion, Mother's Day, or just to remind her how much you love her! If you leave the "mom" sticker off the cover, the album can be given as a gift to another family member, friend, or co-worker.

Visit my shop to purchase this already popular kit before it sells out!

We R Memory Keepers Mini Album

Hi everyone!   I'm sharing this Spring Mini Album over on We R Memory Keeper's blog today.  For this little album I used the Hello Darling paper and embellishments and The Cinch binding tool.  I also used some other We R Memory products that I’ll share as we go …

I’m a big fan of layers so I layered lots of goodies on the cover.  The ephemera die-cuts with this collection are wonderful so I paired a few of them with We R’s new sequins and alpha block stickers.

For the first inside page, I used one of my favorite Lifestyle Crafts dies, Classic Doily, and layered on a few more die cuts. I don’t envision a photo going on this page … just a pretty introduction to my album.

On this page, I added a scallop photo mat that I embossed for a little texture.

… and then for this pocket page, I added a Raindrop border punch for some extra detail. I tucked one of the 4x6 journaling cards from the collection into the pocket.

Thanks for letting me share this spring-inspired mini with you today!  I hope spring and warmer weather are happening where you are soon!

Supplies:
