Cruise Ship Scrapbook Mini Album Kit

Hey friends, it's Funday Friday and I have a super cute NEW kit in the shop to prove it! Since summer is just around the corner and it's the most popular season to take a cruise, I created a scrapbook that's perfect for all your sea worthy memories. Say hello to my little ship-shape (literally) acrylic mini album titled Cruise! 

I designed this with the Echo Park, A Magical Voyage Collection by Lori Whitlock. It's filled with bright colors, ships, suns, suitcases, sunglasses, fireworks, palm trees, life preservers, and so many whimsical patterns.

On the cover, I added a twine bow, a black acrylic anchor, a scalloped ribbon, and lots on fun polka dots!

The album has 12 scrapbook pages that include 2 fold-out pages, 1 pocket, 4 flippies, and space for 25 photos. Inside the front cover, I made a flippie that says "Let the fun begin". I love that for the first page!

And here is a cute fold-out page. On the flap, I created an evening scene on the water and inside ... colorful stripes and lots of little yellow suns to highlight your vacation pictures. 

This album would be great for any cruise whether it's to the Caribbean, Europe or Mediterranean, Hawaii, the Bahamas, or Australia. It would even work for a Disney cruise! There are palm trees, blue skies, white puffy clouds, twinkling stars, festive fireworks, and travel gear. Everything you need for a fabulous trip.

There is plenty of space for pictures of the ship, fun excursions, swimming, shows, sightseeing, yummy foods, evening cocktails, sunsets, and ... sail-abrating life on the high seas!

If you or someone you know has a cruise vacation planned, then ... #1 I'm jealous ... and #2 this Cruise Album is a must! It's the cutest little keepsake and would make an amazing gift idea. Plus ... my kit is boatloads of fun to put together! 😉

12x12 May Scrapbook Page with Bella Blvd

Hi friends! 🌞 Today, I'm sharing a colorful 12x12 May scrapbook page AND video tutorial that I made for Bella Blvd. The Design Team was asked to use a 12x12 sketch to create a layout. So, I chose one from PageMaps and made it bright, sunny and perfect for photos of spring, summer, and everyday memories.

I designed it with Bella's, My Life 365 Collection which I love. I used it for my 12x12 Calendar Scrapbook Kit and I think it's great staple for all scrappers to have on hand. It has fun papers and embellishments that cover each of the seasons, holidays, and major themes throughout the year.

Here is the 12x12 sketch I chose from PageMaps. The wonderful thing about these designs is that they can give you great inspiration to get started. Then, as the layout develops you can tweak it to make it your own.

To embellish, I added the pretty 3D Bella-pops called For Mom, some Ephemera Icons and Words, and created a small journaling card.

Baby Bottle Shaped Mini Album with Lori Whitlock

Hello friends! It's time for my next Lori Whitlock Design Team Project and this time, I made a fun baby bottle shaped mini album using one of Lori’s brand new cutting files. It's called Hidden Binding Mini Album Baby Bottle and it's perfect for some favorite photos of your little sweetie, or ... a super cute handmade gift idea!

You could use ANY paper collection and customize this album for a boy, a girl, or keep it gender neutral. For mine, I cut the base out of Doodlebug Design's solid card stock in bubble blue, white, and lemon yellow. Then, I decorated it with a mix of pattern papers and embellishments (links below).

Just inside the cover, I added a little pocket that's perfect for photos or ... a gift card! I thought this mini album would make an adorable alternative to a greeting card and be a fun way to present a baby shower gift. 🩵

The album has 10 scrapbook pages (5 double-sided) and uses Lori's hidden binding technique to secure the pages. It's designed with plenty of space in between for layering papers, pop dots, and embellishments. 

This would make such a sweet little brag book for mom, grandma, auntie, or an older sibling. What a fun way to share and celebrate your baby's milestones and memories. I made my album approx. 4x5 inches so it's the perfect small size.

NEW! Sweet Friends Scrapbook Mini Album Kit

Hey guys, it's here! Doodlebug's Berry Sweet Collection is in the house and oh my goodness ... it's so stinkin' cute! So, for today's Doodlebug Design Team Project AND this week's new kit ... I created an adorable mini album titled Sweet Friends. It's perfect for pictures of your best friends and it will be in my shop tomorrow!!

I designed this with a 6x8 Mini Album in ladybug. I ❤️ this shade of red so much and it's absolutely perfect with this collection. Mix it with a few fresh shades of green, some cute strawberries, and some pretty daisy flowers and you've got an amazing little keepsake!

On the cover, I created a special embellishment with the Berry Bouquet Doodle-pops. I used a clear acrylic circle for the base and layered some scallops and circles punched from white and polka dot prints. Then, I added the Doodle-pops on top giving this cover lots of pretty dimension!

For the rest of the cover, I added a cheerful gingham print, a thin strip of polka dots in the center, and the summery Strawberry Fields paper at the bottom. 

To embellish, I added a bunch of cute die cuts, and ... if you look closely, you'll notice there are also some of the 3D strawberry and flower stickers from the Berry Bouquet Doodle-pops mixed in there!

Inside, there 20 scrapbook pages that include 3 fold-out pages, 3 pockets, 3 flippies, and space for 50++ photos on the layouts and in the clear page protectors. 

I filled the pages with lots of colorful die cuts from the All the Things package. It literally has "all the things", LOL. It includes icons, words, phrases, and so many little special bits and pieces to make this mini unbelievably sweet!

The colors on this page ... limeade, cupcake, and ladybug ... make me so happy!  And how cute is that little mouse peeking out from behind the plant?

You know I LOVE flippies, so on this page I created a 4x4 flip-up card with space inside for two photos. And below it, I added a piece of the pretty border paper layered on a piece of pistachio petite prints.  I like how a line of pistachio just peeks out from behind and mimics the border on the 4x4 card.

For my pocket page, I tucked two more 4x4 cards inside that can be used for journaling or, as photo mats. I added some fun circle die cuts to each that work perfectly as little photo toppers. So much cuteness!

I love creating new ways to use the colorful Doodlebug insert pages. This time, I used two of the red polka dot ones to make a fold-out page with a pocket on the front. You can add small photos to each of the tags, and inside there is space for two larger photos.
