NEW! Bookish Scrapbook Album Kit

Hi friends! Ready for a peek inside this week's NEW mini album kit that will be in my shop tomorrow? It's titled Escape Into The Pages and it's a scrapbook / journal that's perfect for documenting your favorite books, authors, readings lists, pictures, and more! It makes a fabulous keepsake for yourself, and ... a great gift idea for book lovers. (Christmas is on its way!)

I designed this beauty with the Echo Park, Bookish Collection. It's filled with books, flowers, typewriters, bookmarks, library cards, stamps, and loads of literary sayings. Perfect for people who ❤️ reading.

For the album, I used my Acrylic Clear Vertical Album. It's 6x8 inches and has 2 covers made of high quality 1/8" acrylic, white card stock pages, and 3 binding rings.

On the cover, I added a pretty title card, some cute stickers, colorful enamel dots, and a sage green ribbon. The stamped pattern paper is the first page underneath the clear acrylic cover.

The album has 16 scrapbook pages that include 2 fold-out pages, 2 pockets, 10 fun flippies, space for 40 photos, and ... lots of custom journaling cards!  Above is a fold-out page with one inside (see below).

When you open the flap, I created this "Books To Read" journaling card. Most avid readers have a list of books they're excited to get to, so ... this page should help to keep you organized and on task.

More custom journaling cards ... the "Reading Tracker" can be used to set a number of books or pages to read each month. This visually tracks your progress and provides a tangible reminder / motivator to read regularly and stick to your goalsBy checking the boxes, you'll feel a satisfying sense of achievement.

Next up ... your favorite authors! If your a dedicated reader, it can be difficult to remember the hundreds of writers and their styles that you enjoy over the years. So, keeping a list can be helpful in guiding your future choices.

The album has 2 handy dandy pockets filled with cute cards so there are lots of places to journal. Here are some ideas of things you can write about ...

Book Details

  • Title, author, genre, publication date, and page count
  • Dates that you started and finished the book
  • Did you read a physical copy, e-book, or listen to an audiobook?
  • A star rating or brief review of how much you liked it

Plot & Structure

  • A brief summary of the plot or a timeline of major events
  • Critical or favorite scenes and why they stood out
  • Parts that you didn't understand, or aspects that made you curious enough for more research
  • Guesses about what might happen next or how the story ends, written as you read

Characters & Themes

  • The character's personalities, motivations, conflicts, and how they change throughout the story
  • Identify recurring ideas, symbols, or messages in the book
  • Descriptions of the location or time frame the story takes place in

Personal Response & Connection

  • Your feelings and opinions about the book or specific scenes
  • Favorite quotes that resonate with you
  • How the book relates to your own life experiences, beliefs, or views
  • Any important insights or life lessons learned 
  • How the book compares to other books you've read by the same author or in the same genre.

BUT ... if you don't love to journal and want a simpler way to keep notes, I've added this custom page. It allows you to list the author and title, then give it a star rating. Easy!
